This is the absolutely best TOP TEIR sushi in the lake Charles area . Nothing beats the quality , the prices AND the atmosphere . It is most definitely the freshest raw and cooked fish I've eaten in the area !!! The service is amazing as well , they always have smiling faces and welcome in each individual EQUALLY . I'm big on customer service so I love that even if the sushi was bad , the customer service always makes up for it, but I gotta say the sushi is NEVER bad . At all times of the day it's fresh and the price is always fair . Even the other items on the menu such as bang bang shrimp fried rice, vermicelli bowls, and the rice bowls are each very excellent. I LOVE the pandan latte it's so delicious and not to sweet , I highly recommend that you try it ! Each day at around 6:30 or 730 I believe the sushi is 25% off, which is great because they hate throwing it away and they want to sell it and sometimes they just even give it away because why throw out perfectly good food you know ? They make the sushi fresh every single day you can even get sushi made to order if you don't want what's in the refrigerator box but it's all still extremely fresh . I come here at least once a week with my fiancé and we love the place. i've never had tuna tartare but I tried it today and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. SushiBoxx is absolutely AMAZING!! I am still day dreaming about my Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl. The chicken was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The bowl also had the most perfect, ripe avocado I've ever had in my life. Ordering is super simple, you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Fresh green leaf lettuce is a major plus (most places go cheaper with ice-burg lettuce) 2. Lots of char-suit style marinated meat. Supreme option comes with three good sized medium shrimp, pork, and in house made egg rolls. We are from Houston area and were greatly impressed with how good it was. My wife agrees. 3. I'm a big eater so portions were huge. My wife ended up eating half of her bowl. 4. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. and freshness. I absolutely love this place! Staff, service, and food were superb! Staff was friendly and attentive. Service was quick. We were a group of 13 (9 adults and 4 babies) and hungry. The food came out quick, and we devoured the food. (The camera did not get to eat first because everything was so delicious) We ordered the Salmon Poke, Spicy Tuna Poke, Pork Vermicelli, Fried Rice, Beef & Chicken Bento Boxes, Miso Soup, Crab Rangoons, Eggrolls, and Gyozas (Dumplings). Everything was a hit. I also got the Pandan Latte, which was my only "complaint." Don't get me wrong, it was very tasty, but the pandan was very faint. Didn't realize it was grab and go that kinda threw me off I should have looked. I find the sushi isn't bad but it's really not that great, it's fresh but I usually find better. It's also a little expensive for grab and go, not by much but you'd be better off ordering to go from a traditional spot in my opinion. Find another spot unless you're in a pinch. read more

Walking in, the first impression is a modern fresh grab and go restaurant. To your side they have hand made rolls and bowls, and in front, you can order more items made-to order. I got the Chicken Rice Bowl, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the pickled daikon and carrots were delicious. There are a variety of sushi options to choose from in an open cooler to your left when you walk in. You can also get sushi made to order. I tried the Lake Charles sushi roll to order. That one was Deeelious. It's full of flavor a great balance in different texture. Have a nice crunchy outside. I also tried the Texas roll that one didn't disappoint either. My daughter love he LCR as well. I got the Surpreme Vermicelli Noodle bowl as a main dish. That came with steak and shrimp, pickled carrots, cucumbers, romaine, peanuts, and an egg roll. This is my favorite place to order from in Lake Charles. Nothing hits like this place. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I usually get the poke bowl with raw salmon or the sushi burrito. It takes me two days to finish the poke bowl because it has a lot of salmon or tuna in it! I love the seaweed salad and I wasn't expecting my 17 month old son to love it just as much as I do. It's a savory crunchy appetizer. The dumplings are very onion and garlic strong. Not my personal favorite but if you can't get enough of those seasonings try the dumplings.
