"Willy Wonka Walmart" is how I describe this energetic, bright, and well-organized superstore full…read moreof inexpensive junk you think you need, all because its masterful marketing linked it to a rodent. Plus everyone, including the workers, are happy to be there and there's no long lines. Lots of merch and food. I got a foam baseball, a flashlight key chain, a cooler bag, my $1.19 XL Diet Dr. Pepper, and Beaver Nuggets for the neighbors, while the wife nabbed Mini Waffle Cones and Butter Toffee Pecans, which I highly recommend. This being my third time at a Buc-ee's, I was smart enough to go hungry and got a brisket sandwich from the busy busy foodworkers. Once second largest at 60,000 square feet, this particular Buc-ee's, the relief point between Dallas and Austin, ranks 11th in size out of 54. A mix of Outlaw Country with the busy Donki stores of Japan, I affectionately call these a "Delta Dawn Quixote."

And I don't understand the people who don't understand the appeal. It's a destination! Walmart meets Cracker Barrel with barbecue and jerky and a thousand gas pumps. You have to try it. I've now been to more than a dozen across the United States and I still get excited to step inside. Beaver Nuggets. Clean restrooms. Jerky. Fudge. A large brass beaver out front. It's something else and the Buc=ee's in Temple fits the brand well. I had a great time and look forward to the next one! [Review 379 of 2026 - 696 in Texas - 25564 overall]

I was in agonizing pain from dental surgery and desperately needed to buy a bag of ice. I walked around the whole store and the pain was pounding soooo bad. I stopped to ask this Bitch for the bags of ice and she gave me the ugliest scowl , like I had killed her Mama! She ran past me mad as hell , with her phone in her hand and I felt the wind blow by me! I was shocked because I didn't even get a chance to ask for help and still, can't understand why she was sooo hateful to me! I'm Mexican and Native American, golden brown skin and a woman. Thanks to God there was another man working the register. Although he had a mouth full of food, he was kind enough to help me and ring me up for gas and a bag of ice, he was even friendly . Most of the time , I can find a friendly person at this store even though they have high prices and the Dickey's bar b que has refused me service twice when my hair was darker and I looked more Mexican. This bitch though doesn't even know me and was acting like I was the damn devil! Last week I went to that store and saw her, 5 foot 5 inch , skinny, with dark black hair , beady rat face and her name starts with a K or a S, she work's in the evening, and she was prostituting her ass to this married man with a cute little boy with blonde hair, she was holding his hand when she gave him his change and slipped him her number saying " I'll give you a wild ride!". I was shocked but thought, damn they will hire anyone. I walked up to pay for my Canada Dry and she walked away from the register and gave me the ugliest look, rolled her eyes and ran outside. I don't know why she thinks it's ok to be rude to female customers but the whole world needs to be warned of this slut and homewrecker working in Morgan's point! I called the owner and was happy she heard my complaints and validated my feelings but she said " oh that's not like her", which is southern for, i don't believe you! Stay away from this store and drive the extra mile to Nomad's or any CEFCO store for friendly service and affordable prices in Morgan's point, Belton and Temple!

Stopped at Murphy's tonight to get a few things a coke and a bag of chips. James the store manager…read more(refused his last name) was behind the counter. He advised me I couldn't be in there without a mask. In all fairness Bell county had been set to require masks beginning at midnight tonight. That requirement would have been that the business and customer could have been subjected to a fine but that order was rescinded by the county commissioner court Monday afternoon. Thinking the employee may not have been aware I politely made him aware. James said he was aware of the change. I am not normally one to press the issue BUT I am also not one to have someone tell me what to do. I politely told him it was not required by the county, state, or federal government. James advised me it was recommended by the government for them to encourage wearing of masks. I asked James if he was refusing me service because I exercised my right to not wear a mask. James basically agreed that was what he was saying because the government encourages wearing the mask. I asked if he was discriminating against me for exercising my right to not wear a mask. James advised me he wasn't discriminating against me for exercising my right to not wear a mask but he would refuse me for not wearing a mask. Maybe, James was discriminating against me for not wearing a mask, maybe it was due to my disability or age but he claimed the issue was the mask. James also pointed out he had the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Seeing we were at an impasse I wanted to make sure it was corporate policy to refuse service to anyone not wearing a mask. James advised me several times it was corporate policy and it was not discriminating against me for exercising my right to not wear a mask. I understand both sides of wearing a mask. James was wearing a slip over covering with some design appeared to be a skull (I didn't get close enough to see) not a surgical mask, not an N95 mask. I seriously believe like most people James probably touches his face, products others have handled, money as a cashier, eats or drinks while at work and touches his covering. Like many people the covering goes up and down through the day probably touching the inside and outside of the covering. Like some maybe the covering gets washed or sanitized daily but maybe not. I'm pretty sure like most he doesn't maintain a completely sterile procedure. I also didn't notice James wearing gloves or sanitizing the drink I set on the counter. I also find it interesting that Murphy's and James who show great concern about masks and six foot rules have nobody monitoring their six foot rule or masks at the fuel pumps. I also noticed that Murphy's and James appear not to be concerned about selling cigarettes or alcohol which impact the health of customers or others. Tobacco products have a surgeon general warning of health risks alcohol has health risks for customers and others (look a family member who lost a loved one to dwi in the eye) so I doubt the concern for others health. They don't have a corporate refusal policy aligned with the recommendation as long as your legal age and you can pay the best I can tell. I can only come to the conclusion Murphy's and or James is discriminating against me for exercising my right not to wear a mask, because of my disability, or my age.
