I laugh how many low scores this 7-11 has. Not sure why the scores are so low. Even though I have only checked in a few times on Yelp. Living in the neighborhood since the mid 90's. I have been here too many times to count; and I have never had a problem here. The beer is always cold. The ATM is always available. Everything is well stocked. The hot dogs are always ready to go. The Slurpee machine always works. The employees are cool. As far as 7-11s go. This 7-11 is awesome and I will continue coming here. read more

I haven't been here in months because it's always constant. Issues wi here the slushee machine down or they run out product fast I get cause it's in the hood everyone goes homeless ppl hang out front and stare you down now that I'd decided to be back today . Went back to this 711 and still had terrible customer service so ill keep my review the same. Ever since all the middle easterners worked here this place has gone down hill. There use to be a diverse crowd and diffrent ethnicities. But all i receive now is rude customer service and people smerking and laughing in their own language. Shahad a girl working there decided to mop the floor while customers where in line. She didnt say excuse me or nothing just mops the floor leaving the isle super wet when she could've started in another area of the store. She was yelling and slapping her fore head because customers where walking and leaving foot marks. She was sucking her teeth and exhibited poor customer services as she made others feel unwelcomed. Then the guy behind the counter short middle eastern dude is sitting there with a ear piece in his ear ringing customers up talkin on the phone and laughing. Customers had to repeat there selves as well as i everytime he had to take out his ear piece to hear us. This used to be a good 7 eleven. But now they have new employees who are slow and have poor customer service. They constantly run out of bags so don't buy alot here. They also have a hard time checking dates on food in the cooler. read more

The morning staff is great!. Although today i went to the store in the evening and the woman at the counter was extremely rude. Just went in to pick up a couple of beers and taquitos. Cashier named Aschird was very friendly and nice! I always come into this 7/11 since it's the closet to my house and it's the first time one of the cashiers made me feel genuinely good about being there. I have lived in the area 26 years, and since new ownership took over in the last few years. The homeless begging for money, and gang related thugs outside the store has increased significantly. Additional since new ownership came in. The majority of employees are impolite, very slow or unattentive, and talk derogatory and rudely behind people's back in their foreign language who try and frequent store. It's deplorable. Plan to report to 711 corporate. Occasionally I stumble in here late at night for a tea or juice to quench my thirst. This store is franchised and doesn't follow the same protocol as other 7-11s do. For example, they do not participate in free slurpee day. I've heard the owner is just stingy. It must be true bcuz there shelves are the barest I've ever seen at a 7-11. Went to the location on 2740 bancroft with my 100oz 711 big gulp (all locations charge 1.39 for refill). Approach the tap and a short pudgy gruff dude approaches me, States that he is the manager, and tells me if I fill it here he is going to charge me for the cost of a large and small soda in the rudest way possible. Try at least being polite if you are going to break corporate pricing. Will not be back. read more

I went to this 711 last weekend. I had my tea cup Pomeranian hided in my purse becasue it was too hot to leave her in the car (even with the windows down). Before I went in the door an old grey haired, grumpy man with a pony tail told me no dogs allowed. Now I understand normal sized dogs, but mine was in my purse, and not going to touch the ground at all! I let him know that she was going to stay in my purse the whole time and that due to it being over 100 degrees out i couldn't leave her in my car. He told me it wasn't his problem. Walked in trying to get a drink on a very hot day. I was looking for a particular drink (kerns guava) and since I couldn't find it,I was deciding between two drinks I had seen. There was a black Female cashier that was present walking back and forth from her area towards where the drinks are . She said excuse me to me once .. then she walked by again this time louder and more rude... I let her by again .. keep in mind I'm a very patient person I was not there forever it hadn't even been 5 minutes and I can tell when someone is rude and has a rude tone or not. The third time she passed by again! And she yelled at me "excuse me!!!!!" So I turned and I said you don't have to be rude! What's your problem? She said "I'm not being rude I just have a loud voice and if you don't like it you can get out of the store !!" Then I said iv been a manager for over 6 years and this is not how you speak to people ! I'm going to call your district manager ! She said she didn't care if I called her/him and then she said that she will not ring me up and for me to leave the store. I said in my head there's no way she's going to refuse service to a customer so I put one drink down and picked the one I wanted and as I was walking she said "you can leave because I'm not going to ring you up! And if you take it there are cameras and I will call the police " So I said I don't care ‍ call them ". I walked about with my drink (mindful I would have just thrown her the money since she refuse to ring me up but it's a $1 drink and I only had a $5 bill on me ) she then followed me to my car and took a picture of my license. The was THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE. I called corporate and explained the situation. Now I will patiently wait to see what corporate will do. If I was them I would immediately terminate her employment. So ghetto and so unprofessional and so damn rude . ..Disgusting behavior I am appalled! What can I say? It's 7-11. They all look the same, so when you've seen one you've seen them all. Stopped in while doing some urban hiking in the Spring Valley hills, my buddy had to use the facilities. The cashier pointed to the sign No Public Restrooms and redirected her to the taco shop next door. The cashier was nice enough, not rude about it just following policy. Parking is a little hairy. I parked in a marked stall adjacent to the street and as I say waiting for her nearly had my car hit 3 times. Lots of barefoot traffic makes me wonder if there is a dress code we didn't get a memo on. read more

Morning staff sucks. Evening shift are great. The evening staff will at least acknowledge that you're in the store, unlike the morning staff (3 people) who seemed to not notice as I walked in (yet I was the only person in the store). A simple "hi" will have me come back but when the customer service sucks I'd rather drive across town to the new El Cajon blvd and 70th location where the ladies always seem positive and pleasant. read more

The morning staff is GREAT! I go here at least twice a week at 6 am and they are great, friendly. They take care of the place. Always making sure there is fresh coffee. There is a 7-11 close to my work but I prefer to go back a couple of blocks just because of the staff. read more

Went into the store today, as its the closest one to me. One of the clerks was mopping, went to pay for items and the clerk at the counter not only tried to double charge me but then made an excuse that it was her first day. The mopping clerk then came to help and dropped her mop handle on my arm. Not one damn apology. The mopping clerk goes back to mopping BEHIND ME AND MY YOUNG SON and doesn't even say watch your step. I found the manager to speak to. Some young woman barely able to speak English tell me that the clerk had to no because it was the end of her shify. No signs are posted to caution the at floor. No apology was given at all. I will never go back to the store again. Horrible customer service! read more

This 7-11 has the smallest inventory of any convienience store I've ever seen. They've got the standards- slurpy, beer and candy bars but nothing really unique. The staff are generally bored, rude and unfriendly. I avoid this store. read more

I've been going to this 7-11 for about 3 years now, the just changed owners. Not very impressed with the change. They are sprucing up the store which is nice but the new staff that they hired isn't as friendly as the old staff. It also seems (I could be wrong) to me that they have JACK UP the prices of everything and have stopped carrying Certain items, in particular a brand of beer my husband LOVES. It use to be VERY convenient for us to go there since we live just a block away, but I am pretty over all disappointed with the whole change. Hopefully it grows on me since I am in there at least 5 times a week. read more

This is our neighborhood Seven-Eleven. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly. This store has a good selection and their prices for this type of store are reasonable. The employees make regular customers feel cared about and valued. Great shopping experiences! read more
