Went there last Tuesday... not only was it not the cheapest in town, it was 20 cents more expensive than H‑E‑B a few blocks away. First they knock down Triple Crown... then Paper Bear closes... now this. At least we can still find a legendary Bloody Mary at The Showdown.

They ended up being eggrolls (insert trombone wah-wah). They were cheap and reheated well for lunch (the co-worker arrived with donuts, so I didn't dissect my mystery selection until lunchtime). I'm not asking for the ingredient list to be posted--I accept I'll die not knowing if those previous mini burritos were beef or bean or both--but even vegetarian versus not would be an improvement.

The store is always clean and well stocked with your typical convenience store items. They are located on NB I-35, exit 206, but it can be tricky exiting and then trying to turn into their driveway. The better and safer way is to take exit 207. Getting back on the highway can be challenging as well. If you exit on the North side of the parking lot, you have to shoot over to the far left to take the on ramp back on I-35. The safer option is to exit on the South side of the parking lot to gain a little more distance to take the on ramp. However, sometimes this option is worse as 18 wheelers park on the edge of the feeder road blocking your view. So the safest route is to get on the feeder, travel down a bit, to the next on ramp.

The service wasn't bad, but they also did not go out of the way to greet you or stand out as having above average customer service. Overall, if I'm needing a snack and I'm traveling northbound on the service road near Wonder World Drive, I'd stop in. If I were on the other side of town, or even the road, I'm not going out of my way to stop in. Their offerings are on par with what you would find in most Sac-N-Pac's around central Texas. Beer, snacks, soft drinks, gas......they pretty much have it all. The beer prices tend to be a little high so I will usually get that from either HEB or the Walgreen's down the street. They stay open til midnight so if you have a late night hankerin' for a snack or need to grab some brews on your way home, stopping here would be a safe bet! If you live in the North LBJ neck of the woods, this should be your easy access neighborhood store!
