The menu was a little overwhelming and decided to order a latte and a cappuccino along with a slice of hummingbird cake and a Saskatoon rhubarb scone. Our coffees were made and they were served they looked delicious as you'll see in the photo. First sip coffee was smooth and full of flavor no bitter taste to follow at all, so please with my order. The pumpkin scone was nice and fresh but doesn't have much pumpkin flavour. The croissant was very delicious and I lived that it had filling inside it as well. For drinks we got a Cortado and Mocha. As far as I could gather she makes most of the sweets there but the gluten free she sources from another local venue. It's not a large space but well arranged and bright with some lovely seating directly by the windows on the main floor. To access the coffee shop you need to enter the building first. There's a gradual incline of a step depending on where you approach the building but I didn't spot if it's accessible for wheelchairs. Maybe I needed to walk further along the building? I'll let my photos tell the rest of the story as I was only able to try a date square and my cousin a tasty chocolate mousse of something as we had lunch prior to this stop.

The fact that they have free WiFi even lures critters like me out of my office to do some bussiness where real people exist. The staff are friendly at pretty much every Starbucks I have been to, but why wouldn't they be, they get to serve great people such as myself every day. They are all very skilled and understand almost any coffee afictionados desire. You don't just want an average cup of joe. If you really want to mess with them go in and ask for a double double....you might even make them scowl at you. But almost always you will feel better about going in or driving thru, they are top notch java makers for sure!

That being said, allow me to recount my last visit to Starbucks as I found it pretty funny: I walk up to the counter and the girl serving me looks at me and I say: "Hello, can I please have a venti skinny caramel latte?" She immediately replies: "No" I am so baffled at this point that I just stare at her with what must of been my best impression of puppy dog eyes as I longed for my caffeine fix. After I struggled to produce a reply for what seemed like an eternity, she replied: "Of course you can, I'm just kidding." I couldn't help but laugh as I reflected on how sad I must have looked and continued to have a very pleasant conversation with her as she finished my order. Although some people may not enjoy this kind of banter, it took me from a tired and sad :( all the way to a re-energized and happy :D before I even got my caffeine. Why not 5 stars? Well it is still Starbucks, so as long as my favourite drinks continue to break my bank I can't be too happy with them. That's exactly the kind of service that will keep me coming back inside and entirely avoiding the impersonal drive-thru.
