    "Oh, Thank Heaven!"
    Holy-foo' X.

Should this 7-11 be considered Zombie-land convenience, or Groundhogs Day convenience, or, or ....? You see, this was a 7-11 for many years, until the early 90s, when they packed up and moved down just past the QFC and Dairy Queen there in Sellwood. The mini mart formerly known as 7-11 became the Pine Tree (Korean owned) Mart uneventfully, and remained so for over 20 years. The exceptionally groovy Chowdah cart enjoyed a flash in the pan existence, residing right behind the Pine Tree Market in the carwash parking lot, but after Chowdah fled for the greener pastures of SE 13th ave, so too did this sad little Markets fortunes dwindle. After this, therefore because of this? Piffle on such sophistries! Pish and double pish! So the upshot is, now 7-11 has returned, and I have noted in other newish 7-11 reviews around town, there has been a wave of them popping up seemingly everywhere--- even in No Po, over and over. Each store represents an enormous investment (yes, I looked into it, as that was once a fanciful dream, to own one of my very own). So very strange! 7-11s are notoriously hard to kill--seriously, like Steven Seagal level 'Hard to Kill'----no, better yet like, Dracula hard to kill (hmmm, and both are up all night, and share an inexplicable shyness about anything too garlicky....) Some fly by night out of the hood, presumably never to return (like the ones on Portland/Rosa Parks and Albina, and the one on 33rd and Killingsworth). So far, the re-incarnation of the 7-11 on SE Tacoma after 20+ frickin' years is uncharted territory, 'sfar as I'm concerned, amigos. Muy extraño, por cierto! Maybe it's not Night of the Living 7-11 or Groundhog's 7-11 at all.... maybe it's the X-Men's Phoenix, nee Jean Grey, aka part time super model, part time herald to friggin' Galactus 7-11! If so, be afraid, SE Portland, be very afraid Con mucho cuidado y mucho Respeto.

This is a decent 7-11. The staff is nicer than most. The store gets a bit seedy but not overly so. I don't mind going here.

This location is such a gem and has a completely different feel from their other coffee shop. They serve brunch at this location and it is fantastic, and if you're not sure what to order, get the oats - they're so good, almost like shrimp and grits! The coffee is always on point, but don't sleep on the pastries either. Everything I've tried has been memorable. The space itself is beautiful, with indoor seating, outdoor seating, and even an upstairs area! It's thoughtfully designed, cozy, and a great place to bring your laptop if you work from home and get some work done with their free Wi-Fi. What really makes this place special, though, is the people. Brittany, the owner, is one of the kindest and most welcoming people you'll ever meet. She remembers her customers, genuinely cares about the community, and creates a space that feels warm and inviting every time you walk in. This is exactly the kind of local business worth supporting!

There are times when I just want to relax with a cup of coffee, vegan baked good, and a good book. I was able to do all 3 on my recent outing to Milwaukie! I come to Milwaukie about once or twice a month. Keeper Coffee is the kind of place I could have spent the whole afternoon at! It's spacious, and fun decor. I ordered my vegan baked good and a latte with almond milk. Headed upstairs to get a small table. They brought my coffee to me. The coffee flavor was strong and I added a couple packets of stevia, but it was good. The baked good was really delicious. I ended up stepping out in the hallway to use the restroom. It's a really spacious restroom. There were other businesses upstairs and a cool mural. I had no problem finding parking. I will definitely be back!

Located on one corner of…read morethe Safeway parking lot in the Woodstock neighborhood, so lots of parking space, plus free street parking nearby. Open daily until 7 PM. Friendly, helpful service. They use Italian dark roasted beans with no acidity, which I personally prefer. Didn't have a specific craving, so I went with a 12oz iced latte with oat milk (likely 2 shots), $5.95. It was smooth with a nice separation between espresso and milk, so you can mix it or sip it your way. Self-serve water station available. They also have individually wrapped bagel sandwiches in the case, options with sausage, ham, egg, bacon, and cheese, priced $5.50-$6.75, along with other snacks. Restroom: One-stall, gender-neutral. Clean, no code needed, toilet seat covers provided. Bulletin board just outside the door. They also have separate bins for trash and recycling, a small detail, but appreciated.

A lot of people go to work there on their computers or phones. That's a nice fairly quiet place to talk to friends or do some research on your electronic device. Give it a try!
