I was looking for a restaurant in the Mattituck area after visiting a nearby farm with the family…read more I found a restaurant that was nearby and we walked aground the area to see what was there. The restaurant we originally picked had a 20 minute wait... and with two hangry toddlers, we crossed the street and saw a restaurant sign on top of a neat looking bar. It is actually next to a bar as well, so we eyeing sure it was for the kids. I stood outside and the clock struck 2pm, and a nice gentleman opened the velvet rope for us and said "come in, we were open." Not knowing if this was for the kids or not, we walked in and saw one of the most interesting interiors I have seen in awhile. It was fun and different. The manager made it fun as well as he has a great attitude and happy to help in terms of recommendations. The menu itself is big and you will need some help. The first thing was needing to get food to two little hangry ones, so we asked for noodles, which he got on immediately, getting in a pancit order. That came out first and my wife and I took a few extended moments as the menu is extensive. I ordered the chicken and waffle with bang bang shrimp and my wife had the steak with rice and onions. Both dishes were flavorful and definitely enjoyable. I could definitely go back in again if I ever head back or East, but maybe taking the Long Island railroad would be better since it is across the street from the train station. Definitely stop in for a drink and enjoy the cool little toys and designs around the restaurant. This restaurant definitely provides variety of you want to try something new!

Wonderful new place with a varied menu…read more This is something the North Fork needs more of. Not your usual fare, but with quite a few familiar favorites as well. Lots of parking, unique decor, with a friendly staff. We ordered a few Filipino dishes like sisig, chicken inasal, fried lumpia, and regular stuff like fried mushrooms and disco fries. Everything was wonderful and tasted great. The new place definitely has growing pains, sometimes apps came out with the entrees, silverware and plates came after the courses, took a while for our bill to come, but these are little things that will be taken care of once they have a proper waitstaff. We're definitely going to be back.

Meat's Meat - The very best, let me say it again... the very best wings I've ever had. Lean, tender, delicious, right heat as ordered and crispy.

Redemption! I always…read moretry to keep an open mind when visiting a restaurant, especially if it's new. Well, I'm happy to say this one has matured very well. Just walking in, we were warmly greeted, then quickly seated. This place is "picnic style", so you're given menus at your table, but order at the counter (I personally like that vibe). Anyway, we ordered their 1/4 pound, five-meat sampler (pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, a competition-style rib and a whole smoked sausage) and they converted me. Everything was nothing short of awesome. Both the pork and chicken were juicy and tender, the brisket this time around was smoked to succulent perfection and the rib was nothing short of excellent (not 'fall off the bone", but with that perfect competition "pull" that really won me over). The sausage I learned was locally sourced and a great compliment to the platter. Enough for two with small appetites to share. The sauce is still in small cups, but as I was told, there had been so much waste left on empty plates, that they had no choice to serve it that way, and I get that. Restaurants run on very thin margins these days. I had the spicy version again and really enjoyed it. Add in some live music played by a couple of good ole boys and since my first visit 9 months ago, this place has turned into a legit Long Island BBQ joint and will now be part of my usual rotation. I still think the hush puppies could have used a few seconds less in the fryer, but the flavor profile was spot on as was the corn fritters. But we left happy and full...I'm glad I was able to get back and try it again. Plenty of parking, all cards and a very laid back experience. Great for families or a stop by while cruising the north fork of Long Island. It's a gotta-go in my opinion. Nicely done!

Everything was delicious. The smoke flavor was just right and the meat was so tender. The service was friendly and that really makes a difference. After May of 2025 they will have a full bar. There is plenty of parking and a ramp if needed. There's a bar and an eating area. There's also an outside area that looks like it is pet friendly. This is a very nice place. I wish we lived closer.

Harbes Family Farm's Barnyard Adventure in Mattituck is an absolute gem for families visiting the…read moreNorth Fork in the fall! I brought my niece and nephew, and we easily had one of the funnest afternoons! The Barnyard Adventure is a paid area ($28.95 per person on weekends), but with eight acres packed full of things to do, it's worth every penny. To put the size in perspective ... it's like exploring six football fields lined up together! The highlights for the kids included getting up close with a variety of farm animals, a trike track, sports zone, and multiple playgrounds, pig races, a musical hayride ... there truly is something for all ages. The atmosphere is lively, especially with those pig races and musical hayride tours. My niece and nephew were totally engaged from start to finish. There are plenty of food stands throughout the property with the classic farm favorites. Apple cider donuts (my personal fav), popcorn, ice cream, and coffee stands for the grown-ups. Speaking of adults, a huge bonus is the vineyard right on the property. I treated myself to a glass of rosé to enjoy while the kids played, which was a nice addition. It does get busy, but the whole setup is well organized that it does not feel too crowded. Barnyard Adventure is one of those rare places that charms both kids and adults, making it a perfect fall or weekend family destination. I can't wait to come back next year for more memories (and donuts) with my niece and nephew!!

With access to leave and come back, which we loved, we enjoyed hayrides WITH a singalong! Animals, a lot of games, bounce pad and more. Everything was super clean and exactly what you think a farm should be hahahh. The workers were all sweet and kind. We did enjoy a cup of there chocolate chip cookie. Very good. You can bring in picnic food if you wish, but they had hot dogs and basics to purchase as well as a small farm stand in the front. I would highly recommend for families with children of various ages but more geared toward 10 and under. Cant wait to go back again this summer.

If we wanted to see the sunflower festival, we had to purchase a combo ticket! If you want to enter the least expensive ticket is $24for apple picking, whether you want apples or not. And the sunflowers are extra . We would have To pay $34 and it just wasn't worth paying that for just sunflowers and to sit and pay extra for food . So we decided to leave. Upon leaving there were 4 other adults at the entrance complaining about the same thing. We explained the pricing and they planned to leave as well. We had called earlier in the day but no one answered the phone. We asked to speak with someone and were told we couldn't.Drove an hour to get here. Won't be back . Too much for too little. If you go with little kids, they can at least take advantage of the jump pad and other possibilities.

They let you buy a bag per group not forced to buy one individually. Staff was friendly. It was fairly busy inside where you buy the bags, get cider and the donuts. They had live music one Sunday. Loved everything about this. There was plenty of parking and it was not swamped with people in late October. 3 types of apples to pick from during that time.
