Normally I try to hold space for people's opinions. BEANS is NOT this kind of environment. Sadly. It's like the owner is trying to out-Woke her own self. I'm lbgtq and disabled. What's happening here is not the kind of advocacy we need. We don't create safe spaces by hating on everyone who is not just exactly like us. Most of us just want to not have constant conflict, confrontation and political or social strife. Standing up for others rights is one thing. Intentionally creating discord is quite another. This experience is not great for anyone with anxiety, or needs peace and calm, with a sensory processing disorder or preference to avoid conflict. Hate doesn't need a seat at the table. Kind of done with that. I'm not coming back. The coffee is good though. So are the baked treats. Had a lot of potential.

First, the drinks were mislabeled -- the honey lavender latte was marked as decaf, but it was actually the dirty chai that was decaf. This led to confusion, but more importantly, the flavors were off. I've enjoyed the hot versions of the dirty chai and honey lavender latte many times before, but these iced versions tasted nothing like what I'm used to from other locations.
