We mentioned it. They remade the order. The second delivery was even more visionary: a box of plain hot water. Not weak Pike Place. Not a light roast. Hot water. A masterclass in commitment to the bit. A coworker returned the box in person. Staff replaced it, and they did so with the serene, unbothered energy of people who had just invented a new beverage category and were not about to apologize for it. No concern. No apology. Just quiet confidence that two consecutive failures on black coffee was, apparently, the intended customer journey. Third time we are told it is actually coffee. We are choosing to believe.
