My Friends ordered the hojicha with cream, corn einspanner, and I ordered the Korean sweet potato latte. With that being said, I was looking for something less sweet, and Korean sweet potato latte is definitely not it. Luckily there are other drinks here and their americano is refreshing and delicious. I will be back to try their kroffles.

There is not a lot of seating, which is not a problem. It kind of gives off a more intimate vibe this way. I'm not a coffee drinker like my wife, but the refreshers make up for it. While I have cafes I prefer in Lakewood, I wanted to try something new, so I found EM Boba & Coffee after looking up places online I ordered the Vietnamese coffee with the egg cream topping. I go to quite a few Vietnamese cafes in Seattle, so I have my standards. Unfortunately, their coffee did not meet my standards at all. The coffee tasted like it was made straight from one of those Vietnamese instant coffee packets. I do drink that here and there at home, but it's not the kind of taste I want from a cafe. The egg cream was pleasant though and helped make it taste better. I probably wouldn't come back for the coffee, but I'm still interested to see what the other drinks were like.

Hanging out around Tacoma and it's always a must to try a coffee shop in the PNW. PASSES THE VIBE CHECK. It's a very hip and spacious cafe with a large lobby/lounge area and a ton of people. Diversity! Loved seeing diversity in the mix. Comfy seats, tables, and some available power plugs too. Its location is on a downtown slope and in a corner so it has a view. ORDER - STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN ($17) - came with 4 mini espresso drinks: Latte, Caramel Macchiato, Doppio Con Panna, and Cold Brew. Latte - smooth without any flavor. Caramel Macchiato - so good and smooth. Sweet. Caramel tastes more like marshmallows. Dipping Con Panna - strong acidity after bite and a coffee taste throughout the sip. Cold brew - this is where I can truly taste the profiles of the beans. Very smooth with flavor profile of currents and cherry. Until the next review...

They have a monthly rotating menu of four limited drinks for their drink flights. For the month of February the four drinks were: - Lots of Love Lotus -- pink lotus with rose and lavender syrup, topped with lavender cold foam. - Eternal Flame Latte -- espresso with sweet heat syrup and brown sugar cinnamon, finished with a honey and red sugar rim. - Sweetheart Sip Matcha -- iced matcha with cherry and almond syrup, topped with a maraschino cherry. - Perfect Pair Latte -- espresso with dark chocolate, white chocolate, and strawberry, topped with whipped cream and strawberry drizzle. The drinks were all great. In addition to the drink flight, we ordered a chocolate vegan muffin and a Danish to snack on. The space is wonderful. It is a fairly large space that could be used to study, work, or even socialize in. The service is also excellent. The staff are friendly and delivered our drink flight right to us!

The baristas craft everything from the cutest Spanish-looking open concept kitchen, and the whole space just feels like a happy place to be. We got an iced vanilla latte and The Partridge hot, which may have officially become my new favorite fall drink. Espresso, pear juice, almond milk, white chocolate and cardamom syrup sounds like a lot happening at once, but WOW. The flavors are unexpectedly harmonious and somehow just work. They make their syrups inhouse, and you can tell, even a basic caramel latte tasted like the most delicate, handcrafted drink. It's rare to find coffee shops that haven't succumbed to the hospital white aesthetic, so this is so refreshing on the head. It is the ideal shop to study in. The cups and plates are my favorite thing about this place. The cups are handmade and just so stinking cute. The baristas are so welcoming every single time I come in, they look like they just love their job and love to chat with the customers. The outside of the shop is a mint green which really throws me off because the inside is so cute. The parking situation is a little limited as well, there's a few parking spots near the shop and the rest is street parking. They have a large selection of pastries and some food but know that if you come in the afternoon there probably won't be much left, they go pretty quick.
