I went to 7/11 to grab a quick lunch during my work shift. I'm a huge fan of egg sandwiches so I thought id give it a go. For $5 this sandwich was really good and tasted fresh. I was honestly surprised at how good it was. Service was also quick and I was able to get in and out of the store within minutes. I'll definitely be back for another sandwich soon! read more

I went to the 7-11 at 1321 Kilauea Ave., Hilo, HI 96720 to get a couple of sandwiches. Got a Turkey Bacon, and an Egg Salad sandwich. Ate one of the Turkey Bacon and it was tasty. However when I picked up the egg salad one to eat it felt firm, and I took a bite and the egg salad was frozen. Sandwiches were for two people. I usually make Japanese style egg sandwiches myself, but did not feel like cooking this morning. Big mistake on my part. Service was quick and the cashier was friendly. Would be nice if the 7-11 here were more like the ones in Japan. read more

Garlic Chicken Musubi.............ummmmmmmmmmm! Okay, whenever I walk into a 7-Eleven store in Hawaii, no matter what island I'm on, or what store I go to, I can't help but think about their deeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious Garlic Chicken Musubi! Yes, da ADDICTION is REAL!!! Lol! Okay, so my recent visit to this particular 7-Eleven store on the Big Island (Hilo - Kinoole Store) wasn't for my favorite Garlic Chicken Musubi (gang, don't faint now), as I was here with my coworker for some drinks, as we were parched from working in the hot sun. Lucky for me this store was close by from where we were working, so we popped in and bought a few bottles of water. I LOVE the convenience of the Hawaii 7-Eleven stores, as they sell great snacks, drinks, and of course my all time FAVORITE - Garlic Chicken Musubi!!! Okay.........I will get off of my Garlic Chicken Musubi soap box now!!! Lol! A little trivia for you folks........... Did ya know that 7-Eleven Hawaii has stores not only on Oahu, but they also have stores on Kauai, Maui, & of course the Big Island? I looked at 7-Eleven's website , and it says that they have 63 stores throughout the Hawaiian Islands, with the majority of the stores on Oahu. Here is 7-Eleven's link for the locations of their stores (note: I think 7-Eleven has to fix their store location information, as it say that they have "68 stores" across Hawaii, yet on the bottom in small writing it says that they have "63 stores". Which is it??? I was kind of bummed that we only saw one 711 while visiting the Big Island. I get so excited to come here for their snacks because a bunch of the restaurants that I booked marked while visiting are either not open on Sundays, Mondays or even Tuesdays or everything closes super early!!! Wished they had these all over the island, because we love the snacks at 7-Eleven Hawaii! We were only able to stop by this location on the day we were in Hilo after visiting Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend the pork hash! Very tasty and we always get them when we spot a 7-Eleven while visiting the islands! I attempted to go to this 7-11 at 5:30 am a few days ago. There were a lot of homeless looking people in the front of the store but there weren't a lot of customers inside. I decided not to stop and went to McDonald's instead. It's so sad that they can't do anything to clean up the store. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who thinks like this and it must be hurting their business. If they don't provide security to protect their customers, then I will never patronize them again. Who would have known I would come to 7/11 this often, especially in Hawaii? Even back home, I hardly ever go because theyre never nearby or I am just too scared to go. 7/11 in Hawaii though, is pretty different unique. I dont see it the same as the ones back in mainland. They have so much more to offer, thats for sure. I only come here to get drinks or sometimes snacks but 7/11 is the place for you if you need a quick fix. If youre hungry but you dont want to wait in that long drive-thru at McDonald's or Taco Bell, theres always 7/11. Hawaii 7/11 sells so many variety snacks and foods. From hot musubis, pasta, poke and even sushi rolls. Sounds legit, right? Ive only tried their hot musubis ans yes, they werr pretty good. I was introduced to their Taquitos from a friend and they were surprisingly good as well. Service is very quick and parking isnt enough but theres always that one last parking space for you. Also, their ice cream section is pretty good too because it includes mochi ice cream, some Korean brand ice cream, Magnum bars and even Häagen-Dazs too!! read more

What is up with this location? Last few times I visited this 7-11 there were police cars with their lights on already parked or coincidentally just pulling in while I'm inside the store. AND NO they weren't coming inside to buy anything. As a customer I would rather stay away from places that attract any kind of trouble. AND call it bad luck this location was out of my favorite yummy snack food too. When they are fully stocked you can expect Zippy's type of food for much more reasonable prices and consistent quality control. Might be better off going to the Kilauea Avenue and Kawili Street 7-11s. No wait the Kawili Street 7-11 parking lot is pretty sketchy after it gets dark especially later in the evening. Kilauea Avenue location seems to be the safest outside. read more

7-Eleven Hawai'i locations are out of this world. In my eyes, 7-Eleven Hawai'i can go toe to toe with restaurant's and food establishments! There has never been a time during one of my visits to 7-Eleven that I wasn't blown away by the food I had purchased. Still to this day I can't get over the quality and variety of the food that is offered there. 7-Eleven makes the bomb musubis and offers a wide variety of dim sum delicacies such as manapua, pork hash and shumai and that's just the tip of the ice berg. 7-Eleven does a great job at embodying all that is Hawai'i. Every culture associated with Hawai'i's history is represented in some form and it's most evident in the foods they offer. If I had to make a list of all the foods that I love, it would have to be as follows (no particular order) 1. Spicy Shrimp Katsu Roll 2. Spicy Seafood Inari (Cone Sushi) 3. Spicy Poke Bombs (Cone Sushi) 4. Lup Cheong Manapua 5. Char Siu Manapua 6. Pork Hash 7. Kim Chee Pork Hash 8. Shumai 9. Shrimp Shumai 10. From the mainland with the disaster services. You demand we take a paper bag. On the mainland we are not to have bags, they charge us $.25 per bag. Plastic bags are outlawed. If you care about this planet stop giving out bags. Let your people get used to bringing their own reusable bag everywhere they go.
