After looking for someplace close we found cafe54. SUPER close to campus. My eggs were ok. The corned beef hash was the canned kind just like I like it, because some stuff you can make fresh and fancy up but that preservative, war time taste just hits and you know I'm right. I had coffee that would put hair on your chest. and an Arnold palmer that was kind of watery. Oddly enough I found those traits acceptable. My son had french toast. This is only the 3rd time he's had it (by choice) and he really enjoyed it. While brunch/lunch was a 3.5 in my book it was a 5 for him There is no tap to pay but they do take the usual cash and card. So just don't forget your cards in your pants pockets and you'll be ok. The place was bright and airy with outdoor seating and the service was just ok. Decent place. You should go in a try it out.

We attempted to ask for things a few times and our waitress was just flying out to other tables and not very attentive to our requests. Ambiance was ok, the maintenance in the bathroom needs attention specifically the door handles they will get you locked up and it was very hard to get out of the main bathroom.

It's colocated with the Exxon gas station and it has a drive thru. There is also a decent amount of parking. Inside seemed pretty clean. I mobile ordered a large Pumpkin Oatmilk Shaken Expresso with light ice for walk in pick up.I went directly to the pick up counter, but my drink wasn't there even after two people got their orders after ordering at the register. After I got their staff's attention, it turned out my drink had already been made and was behind the counter. I was surprised by how much room was left in my drink. In addition, I couldn't taste the pumpkin at all - not really any taste at all. For the volume, taste, and service, this definitely was not worth the price. Next time, I'll probably get my caffeine fix at McDonalds or the neighboring gas stations.

The staff have been very friendly and accommodating and have been making my coffee just to my liking. I'm pretty particular about it being very hot and made to my requirements. It was a bit hidden but great location next to an actual train track. Interestingly enough, a train passed through while we dinned. I'm sure the outside experience it better than indoors. However, the outside tables is more limited. They feature a small menu, but you can tell they focus on fresh ingredients. Quality over quantity. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, and it was easily one of the best I have ever had! What really elevates it is the inclusion of thinly sliced apples; they provide a fantastic crunch and a perfect sweet-tart balance. You have to try it! We stopped by during a busy Tuesday lunch rush, and despite the place being packed, the staff was very attentive. Everyone was kind and clearly working hard, doing their absolute best to check in on us and keep things moving. Highly recommend this local spot for a fresh, high-quality lunch!

The old building has a nostalgic flare with a cozy interior atmosphere! The cafe was full and for good reason, the food was excellent! We started with the grilled cornbread and Frico wine. The cornbread was absolutely delicious and the wine was perfect! My husband had the Caboose Burger and said it was good but nothing special. I had the Fig Pro Quo and it was spectacular! I had a side salad which was simple but really delicious! It was a great first experience and I'm looking forward to going back! My kind of place for sure!

Our server (Jessica) was pretty thorough. I see my server mentioned in my previous review was a Jessica too. Unsure if it's the same person, but certainly the same great service. Hubby and I ordered the following. Signature Pancake Plate - Delish! Fluffy! Plentiful. Seagram's Ginger Ale - Welp, it was a Ginger Ale. Strawberry Peach Lemonade - Very tasty! Not too sweet. Great flavor. U.S. Farm Raised Catfish - Deeelish. Fresh! Impossible Sausage - Very good! Almost couldn't tell it was meatless. As always, there were some pretty cool items on clearance in the lobby. I grabbed a few candles. Regularly $30, paid $13 each!! Winning !! If nearby, stop in. You'll be glad you did.
