I ordered these boards for 2 events that I was throwing. Rosanna, the owner and maker, was such a pleasure to work with. She was organized with all the information I provided, responsive, genuine, and just overall a kind person! I'm definitely gonna get more boards from her for other holidays or events I have coming up. She also delivers right to you and has many charcuterie options, like jarcuterie for example. The actual charcuterie was phenomenal. Candied walnuts, prosciutto, halved dates, spiraled salami, pitted cherries, cheeses galore - the meat & cheese board was robust to say the least. The sweet board was sweet tooth heaven. Brownies, chocolate covered everything, Rice Krispies, various cookies, and more. Needless to say, the charcuterie boards were a HIT at my event. Seriously using any excuse just to come here and get more boards. Support women owned & local and order some bomb charcuterie from here!

The board was arranged beautifully from every angle with a mix of cheeses, crackers, meats, chocolate, cookies, olives, and fruits. I really like the effort that was put into including a variety of meat arrangements, cheese shapes, colors, flowers, and other components that made this a stunning work of art to look at. Fortunately, the board tasted just as good as it looks! I found that overall the flavors were a bit more muted, so that you can graze on this over time without feeling fatigue by being bombarded with strong flavors. I feel this may also be to ensure that the components are attractive to a wide audience. Overall, this definitely is worth buying if you're looking to entertain or hold a special event.

Swap in a different protein each day and you get the gist. Simple, functional, done. But weekends? Weekends are for flavor. That is when I pull out a Japanese cookbook from Mitsuwa or cue up one of those beautifully shot YouTube recipe videos I have saved. The kids rally around, ready to help and ready to veto anything green I might try to sneak in. We read the recipe, make a list, and head to the Saturday farmers market. Open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, May 10 through October 11, the Arlington Heights Farmers Market is where all my plans unravel in the best possible way. Baby eggplants too cute to leave behind. Crisp pickling cucumbers. Potatoes still dusted with dirt. Peaches so fragrant they announce themselves from a stand away. Sour cherries with a perfect bite. Heirloom tomatoes I did not know existed but now dream about. Basil that perfumes the car ride home. Cherry preserves with no sugar. Lavender honey from bourbon barrels. And I have not even mentioned the cheese. The shopping list goes out the window. Imagination takes the wheel. Dinner becomes an adventure and a memory. If you love food, cooking, or just need a little inspiration, this place speaks your language. The language of romance, but with vegetables.

(Palatine used to be a bigger draw for me due to the variety and choices, but AH has caught up!) I particularly love the baguettes from St. Roger's Abbey. The nun selling the bread is a fluent French speaker and I've overheard several French-only conversations with customers. My French is quite pathetic so I just say, "Bonjour!' and "Oui!" This is also a great place to get your fresh produce, cheese, and coffee needs filled. It is conveniently located next to the Memorial Library, so you can check out some books and then get some produce, bread, and coffee. The AH Farmer's Market is a nice way to kick off the weekend in my opinion.

I've looked at it plenty of times previously, but finally decided to buy something, I was really craving sweets. They have quite a variety of chocolates- cookies, bars, matcha, nuts, chips and more. We purchased the chocolate covered potato chips and a milk chocolate bar. Both were delicious. The chips were not too salty but still crispy. I was impressed. The chocolate is so silky smooth and not overly sweet like most milk chocolate bars in the world US. The employee was super nice and apologized like five times for the wait, even though I didn't think it was too long. The customer ahead of us was purchasing quite a lot for gifts so I think he thought he was taking too long to assist her. Either way, great experience overall. I'm tempted to set a reminder to myself for next year to buy the advent calendar!

She was great at explaining their chocolate. Their chocolate here is superb. It's so different, unique, and quality. The chocolate chip potato chips are absolutely delicious. What differentiates them is their international chocolate that you cannot find anywhere else! Their truffles fell apart in my mouth - incredibly delicious. Everything is fairly priced for the quality, too. I will 100% come back here again. This is the perfect spot to get some chocolate for an anniversary, birthday, or any special occasion for somebody else. Love Royce!

We were given a table but informed we would need to order at the counter. The person working the counter was incredibly hospitable, and helped my sister and I to better understand portions as we deliberated whether or not to share. I am so glad we did because the portions are huge and come with a plethora of sides! We did the brisket lunch special, which came with a variety of dipping sauces. However it was so perfectly seasoned and tender that it was perfect to eat as it was. Sides included roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, tomato salad, lettuce salad, coleslaw, rice, and giardiniera. Again-- so happy we chose to share! We will definitely be back.

We actually got both to share and they were both fantastic! The lamb was so tender and fell CLEAN off the bone. That's exactly what you want with a smoked meat. And the brisket was fork tender and seasoned very well. What is cool about this place is that you can see the meats being artfully smoked right in front of you with what looks like a mini flame thrower lol. You can even pick how you want your meats to be seasoned as they have several choices. I was actually a little hesitant to try the house seasoning as I was afraid it would be too overpowering but glad I was wrong. It added depth to the meat without masking the quality of it. And then there was a mini sauce parade that accompanies every order. You get the pleasure of trying all of their sauces (I think there were 7 total) and some of the sides that definitely stood out to me were the roasted potatoes and their house made coleslaw. Such a friendly staff too! The cook even came out to our table and made sure that everything was ok. Excellent place. Will definitely be stopping by again!

I want to give a shout out to Andrea and Chris (I wish I had last names!)…read more You know what it's like when life gets so stressful that you are struggling to find a reason to make it through the day, and then you discover a sweet treat in the international candy aisle of your local Tony's that is like nothing else you've ever eaten, and it becomes your nightly reward for making it through another day? No? Just me? Well, then humor me. I found that treat (and I'm not identifying it because I don't want my store to run out!!) and I stopped in my Tony's Monday morning to get my week's worth, and despite the fact that I hadn't seen the supply dwindle at all in the months I've been eating these treats (so I just assumed I was the only one who bought them,) AND they had literally boxes full of product every time I came to Tony's, my heart SUNK when I saw the empty shelf. Sometimes when life rains, it pours, and life has been pouring on me, and seeing that one of the few things I had to look forward to was gone, broke the camel's back. I headed toward customer service, and saw a woman standing in front of customer service (she may have been supervising the self checkout) and I approached her on the verge of tears and explained that they were out of the only thing that brought me joy, and she said "well then, we will find it." That was Angela. Thank you, Angela!!! Truly, an angel! I was expecting judgment, not kindness. I was hoping they had just moved the candy to a different display or something but Angela looked into it and they were completely out (and when I'd been in less than a week earlier, there was still a LOT of product that was about a year away from expiration, so I guess I'm NOT the only one who finds this item irresistible!) So Angela recruited a very kind gentleman named Chris who got my information, placed an order with the vendor, and barely 24 hours later I got a text from Chris that the product was at the store waiting for me. My experience with "customer service" on a whole lately has been that no one seems to care anymore. Or that people do the absolute minimum that they can get away with. I cannot remember the last time I had a company truly care if I was happy with my shopping experience. Angela could have just told me to "go look for the product at other Tony's stores" or online ... but instead she made sure the item would be available at my preferred store. Chris could have just told me "they'll be in some time next week, come in and look" .... but instead, he texted me to let me know when they arrived, and because I couldn't make it into the store that day, he made sure to set side the quantity I need. Again, these are all such small things in the grand scheme of life, but Joy and kindness are so important and so hard to come by these days. Because of the kindness of Andrea and Chris, I'm able to find little bits of joy at the end of the day, as I work my way through this difficult chapter in my life.
