A piece of our purchase failed in under 5 years (a problem in itself) and Hudson's takes no responsibility. Furniture Care Protection has ordered parts and shipped to the wrong address, only to discover the part was not the cause of the failure. 2-16 weeks - yes, two to SIXTEEN weeks to get the next part. Furniture Care Protection is a scam. Hudson's uses that scam company to eliminate their warranty responsibility. Be careful - DON'T buy the warranty, and think twice about Hudson's as they take zero responsibility for their products once it is at your home.

We probably visited every single furniture shop in Tampa Bay and the majority of these shops did not have such a thing. La-Z-Boy was probably like the 8th place out of 12 that we visited and it turned out that they had several options. And not only that, but each design could be ordered in about 100 different configurations and about 1,000 different materials. We needed the recliner aspect because my back is betraying me as I get older and the only thing I can sit/lay in for long periods of time with no pain is a recliner. And my wife and I's favorite activity is to binge watch TV, so we often find ourselves sitting for hours. When I sat for hours on the couch we owned for years, I would get up and feel like I was 80 years old. When I go to the movie theater and get upgraded fancy seats with the recliner, I get up and feel like a million bucks. But we didn't want to just get a regular recliner, or a leather couch with reclining chairs because those have a bit too much of the man cave-y look for our tastes. I was so happy that La-Z-Boy had so many options to fit what we were looking for! When we first walked in, there was a big sign that said something like, "Welcome to the no pressure zone!" That was such a relief because some of the furniture salesman can be absolutely relentless at other places. I don't know how in 2018 that we can still have that kind of business model. Fortunately, at La-Z-Boy, we were only attended to by an employee when we had questions. We definitely never once felt pressured during any of our three visits before we decided to purchase. It's amazing how close this store is to my house, but I couldn't have even told you it was there. But now that I've done some pretty thorough furniture store comparison, it's definitely the first place we'll go next time we need something.
