He is an amazing man of faith who is incredibly personable and a true pleasure to work with. Planning a wedding is tough enough and Paster Mabry made it easy. He gave us great material help with organizing the flow if our ceremony. Reasons Paster Mabry should be your wedding officiant: 1) Genuine Warmth - From our first meeting he put us completely at ease. He took the time to get to know us in a short time. We knew when we left the meeting that we found the right officiant for our special day. 2) Affordable - When planning a wedding it's easy for the budget to spiral out of control. Sensational Ceremonies was a reasonable choice. Paster Mabry met with us for an initial meeting, attended the rehearsal & and conducted the ceremony all for an affordable price. 3) Organized - One of the choices you have to make when planning a wedding is whether the officiant will attend the rehearsal. When I contacted other officiants most didn't see the need to attend the rehearsal since they have conducted many weddings. That may be fine in some situations however we wanted to make sure that everything was a stress-free, no-brainer on wedding day. It was Paster Mabry's experience with weddings that was invaluable at the rehearsal. Having him attend the rehearsal was (next to choosing him) one of the best decisions we made. Even though we had a wedding director that conducted the rehearsal Paster Mabry gave great guidance on the ceremony. Because of this we felt very confident going into the wedding the following day. 4) Charming Person - He was a calming influence on the wedding day. Even though we had a hiccup (one of the unity candles went out) he was able to bring lite humor to the moment defusing any possible nervous tension. Additionally he took the time to get to know us well enough that everyone was comfortable. Many people commented on how much they loved the way he conducted the ceremony and because it felt very personal they also thought we had known him for a long time. Selecting Paster Mabry was one of our best decisions and Sensational Ceremonies made it easy.

We understand, however, there was no communication no work to show for as to far as what had been done. 1,200.00 a month and 1-2 Facebook ads had been ran. Along with website issues that had still not been resolved, facebook and instagram issues with why we cannot use tap to shop. We waited the entire month of November for her to reach out to us to help build our small business. Come November 31st there had been no contract with her, she had not reached out once to update us on anything. BUT December 1st she reached out for her 1,200.00. I was recommended to this company, and we were tremendously disappointed. We have moved on to another company who has helped us every step of the way, Communicated and cared.

However, because we were assertive in what we wanted, we walked away feeling as though they sabotaged our wedding. To top it all off, at the end of the evening, when confronted why a simple thing like, why the candles for our centerpieces didn't get lit, they wouldn't let me speak and kept cutting me off. They ended up walking away from me...their customer. And when I raised my voice only enough for them to be able to hear me because they were 30 feet away, they yelled at me for "screaming at them." Maeghan brought a calm, organized, and reassuring presence that made a big difference for us. She helped keep everything moving smoothly and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy each moment. We had our Catholic nuptial mass which she was able to help keep us on timeline and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Then the second day, we had our Nigerian traditional. This can be intimidating for some but she handled big personalities and a big event with such grace. Ivory & Sage was also able to provide a beautiful charcuterie and basic florals for us, it was so nice to get things with one vendor. I believe she also offers decor. Unfortunately, for my daughter and her now husband, they found out via email the day before their wedding that their planner, Maeghan, would no longer be available on their wedding day due to personal and health reasons. While we empathize with that, much of what was anticipated to be done by the planner was done by the bride and groom themselves. Meetings she did attend with bride and groom had her multi-tasking or unavailable. Tasks listed as being done by the planner had the bride and groom completing and simply "turning them in" . Do you want a planner that simply checks things off a list, Maeghan and her team might work, but if you are looking for good memories and a wedding reflective of your ideas and needs, I would keep searching for a different planner. While Maeghan did identify a replacement, the replacement knew days before Maeghan finally told the bride and groom . Telling the bride and groom as soon as she started looking for a replacement may have reduced some of the stress. It was also noted that another wedding in late July experienced a very similar experience as noted here.
