5th Friday on Friday, August 29th, is the inaugural kickoff of Lanai Chamber of Commerce's event to get the community out in the town square to support local businesses and sample great food!
We tried the baby back ribs and cioppino (seafood stew) at Richard's Market-awesome! Both dishes were so good-gone in sixty seconds! OK, maybe it took a little longer than that to wolf down those dishes. Then there was the freshly made sushi from Cafe 565. Ono! And the lilikoi tarts and "da bomb" cream puffs from Maui-sadas were so good, we had to eat them before dinner! The venison sausage with red sauerkraut and dijon mayo was really good because it was moist and flavorful on a sweet bread bun. And the steak tacos from Mimi's Place was kiawe fire grilled with fresh salsa. It was amazing!
Absolutely GREAT event that was a hit in my opinion! Winner! Woo hoo! read more
