Andhra chicken curry, mutton curry, Bhature, Lauki Halwa

Weekend buffet at 5th Element, tried it this Saturday and here's the scoop: Food highlights: * Crispy plain dosa = * Chicken biryani + fish fry + mutton curry + Andhra Chicken curry = solid winners * Lauki Halwa = unique & surprisingly good * Chai to wrap it up Not-so-great: Idli was a bit hard. Went around noon, not crowded, chill vibes. Overall: 7/10 for variety & taste. Will definitely be back!

My food was ok. My favorite was the cheese naan with the brown chutney sauce, however, I have no idea what it's called because my waiter was not very attentive. The young man wouldn't speak to me and barely spoke to my husband. Also the young lady was just running around everywhere and had no time to help us. The shrimp biryani was tasty but not fresh, and with less than desirable customer service, I'm not inclined to return

Points of reference: I married into an South Indian family and I'm familiar with their cuisine. Also, I am vegan. For my first visit here, I had to get dosa. I usually get Mysore Masala Dosa but I decided to try Rava Masala Dosa. It was very hearty and not too spicy (they probably toned it down for me). The sambhar was flavorful and not very spicy, either (I wonder if they adjust it.) I had to come back the next night. I decided on mix veg pakora and bagara baigan (which was new to me). I probably ordered too much food, but it was so delicious that I couldn't stop myself. They may have slipped a piece of paneer in the pakora by mistake. What was probably not a mistake was the chili pepper in the pakora. Whoa, that was spicy! The bagara was so savory that my mouth is watering right now as I type. I'm so glad that I tried it. I cant believe I ate the whole thing. Service was friendly and prompt. My server shared the wifi password with me. I was pleasantly surprised by how good 5th Element was. I will definitely return if I am ever in this area again.

Listen I am picky but this hands DOWN is the best Indian food that I have had in Daytona!! I went to this restaurant just before my trip to St. Lucia and as soon as I got home, I ordered them again because my mom ate all of my food when I was gone. Pictured is the vegetable samosas. Everything was absolutely delicious the rice perfectly cooked and fragrant, the chicken, tender full of flavor. The chicken is like an Indian version of a quesadilla. DELICIOUS!! The vegetable samosas were also perfect as well and they were all paired with your normal sauces. I can't speak much about the service because I did an online order. I will say I was greeted when I walked in and my food was ready. They have a loyal customer I will literally be back monthly

Our eyes were way bigger than our stomachs. We got so much delicious food at a very reasonable price. Just be aware that they mean business with the spice level. So, if you are even a little bit of a spice wimp go with mild. I love this place and will continue to go back again and again

Anyone who is going to be spending a day at the Speedway should seriously pick up lunch here and pre-game. Their lunch was cheaper than anything that I would've gotten inside the Speedway and it came with rice, chicken 65, curried protein or veg of your choice, lentils, and naan. Considering I was about to spend all day at Welcome to Rockville, I needed all the food I could get, and it was pretty tasty. Definitely a great value for under $15. That beats most fast food restaurants these days.

Been here a few times by myself, Sabi helped me both times and was really helpful and prompt with service. She made great suggestions, tonight i pretty much let her tell me what to try based on my tastes and she hit out the park! For my appetizer i had this indian version or ginger chicken, but it was vegetarian and made with cauliflower. I had to remind myself halfway through it wasnt chicken. But for my entree I had this grilled chicken thigh dish with lime lemon and onion with other spices and herbs with a side of garlic naan and it was the most tender succulent flavor-full chicken i have had in a long time. I dont leave reviews often but 5th element and Sabi earne

3.5 Stars based on their Sunday brunch; rounding up to 4 to give them the benefit of the doubt. We've had many many Indian Buffets and restaurant experiences and have grown to experience excellent Indian dishes and understand what is passible vs outstanding. Our first experience with 5th Element was via their Sunday Brunch. Unfortunately, it was not the best first taste of their food. Many of the fried items were very dry. For the other dishes, the flavors were there, as was the heat, but the overall impressions were that some of the food tasted reheated. Maybe it was the way the buffet was on the second of the two weekend days they have a buffet. The cost was just under $17 a person. I liked the dal and the vegetarian meatballs but the Gulab Jamun desert was oddly tougher than any others we'd had before. The Byriani rice dishes were good as well as their Kheer desert. Note: They do not keep up with social media (have not claimed their Yelp listing) and do not answer their emails or messages, nor do a great job with advertising themselves, so it was very difficult to get a simple answer as to when and what times they have a buffet and how much it is. So, I'm going to try to order some dishes during the week that will be To Go, and compare it to our OK but not excellent first impressions of this place, nor just a repackaged version of what's currently out on their buffet.

Butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, potato and onion dosa, mango lassi

If you are looking for a warm and charming place to tickle your tastebuds, look no further! The menu is a passport to flavors that will amaze you. Inside, you will see descriptions of the different regions and their unique contributions to the culinary world. The staff treated us like a family and allowed us extra time to finish dinner without rushing us out the door as they were closing for the evening. My recommendations are the mango lassi, potato and onion dosa, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, and the garlic naan

Chana masala and chicken tikka masala with garlic and plain naan.

This place has consistently good food! Our entrees, rice and naan were great and service was fast and efficient. Don't let the strip mall scare you away but they also do a ton of takeout! This place can bring the heat if you request it! Prices are very reasonable for the quantity.

We stopped here for lunch today. We took the buffet, it's was 18$. There were decent amount of options in the buffet. Some of the items were just okay, but rest weren't that good. The service was okay though. There is plenty of parking in the complex. I wouldn't recommend this place unfortunately.

We got the lamb biriyani and the butter chicken! The lamb biriyani was spicy and flavorful and it came with two "sauces" on the side, one of them being some kind of yogurt. The butter chicken did not have the same "butter chicken" taste and it was very different at this location. Was trying to see a different Indian restaurant other than the usual Masala down the street. The ambiance inside is a bid old school but the service was amazing! The server was attentive and kind with the whole dinner. Hopefully their butter chicken improves in the future!

Chole Batura

Very disappointed with my experience. Went in during lunch because of chole bhature cravings. Ordered them only to be disappointed by it. The bhature were very oily and small. The chole was only spices and no flavor. They literally picked up the chole and bhature from the buffet they were having to serve us despite ordering from the menu. The chicken 65 we ordered was a decent one as it was freshly made. The service and ambiance were good though! But not the food

My family and I were a little skeptical because the parking lot was empty. I'm so glad we decided to still give it a try!!!! I said well let's look at it in a different light, that we got a whole restaurant to ourselves! The service and food were amazing from beginning to end!!! The flavors were so AMAZING!!!! The only thing that wasn't what we thought was the lychee martinis. There were no lychee's but the pour was strong. We ordered some mango juice and it made it good! All the food was fresh and flavorful. Everything came out hot. The best naan we've ever tasted. We had to order two baskets! Tried the chili fried corn! OMG we have never tasted anything like it. It's hard to explain! The vibe and decor is everything!! Me and my daughter were grooving in our chairs the whole time enjoying the food and their cultural music. We will definitely be back to support! We actually prayed for this business to be successful so we can try everything on the menu!! And before we left many people started coming in. Fine Indian dining!!!

Honestly surprised, I'm not even a big lamb guy cause it tastes too lamby for me but it hit. And the shrimp korma was good too it was pretty subtle. I don't usually order seafood tho cause they be ripping you off. Went back and it was still fire. Tried the chicken korma, masala dosa, and gobi Manchurian which were all super good. Was craving tikka masala so had to get it off but I also tried samosas for the first time. It was sooooo good. I was not a fan of the minty sauce much but the brown chutney funny enough, I think their tikka masala is my least favorite out of all the things I've had here

It is in a strip mall that I often go to, so I was wondering why I hadn't known about it. When my GPS said that I had arrived, and I still couldn't find it, I discovered that the sign-dark blue against a black background written in cursive letters was very hard to read. That is actually my biggest complaint. When I walked in, I thought it was only a take-out place because it seemed small with only a couple simple tables and chairs. When the friendly young man who greeted us showed us there was also a dining room in the back, I was surprised again. We ordered the lunch box special that literally came out in a take-home container. The server offered us a nice plate to dish it on. I appreciated this way of service because I knew there was no way I could finish the choice of two curries, jasmine rice, buttery naan and dessert that all come with the $14.95 lunch box, so it was already in a to-go container when I had eaten all I could. I chose Malai Kofta (probably the best I've ever eaten) and Paneer Makhani (slightly sweet but chock-full of veggies and paneer). The naan was perfect--buttery and slightly crispy outside without being doughy inside. The cucumber water was also a nice touch. I hope they get more business because I love that we have such high-quality food at reasonable prices right here in Port Orange.

It was highly recommended to me by a lot of my Gainesville friends, so I finally went to compare it with Indian Cuisine, Amrit Palace, and Indian Aroma. I can confidently say it's either slightly better, or on par, with Indian Aroma, and significantly better than Amrit/Cuisine. Only slightly better because the array of food you can get here is larger and a bit cheaper, but I do think Indian Aroma's butter chicken is still the best I've ever had. I got the varutharacha chicken curry combo, and it felt like an absolute steal for the amount of food and the price. My entire friend group went non-verbal as we chowed down into our dosas and food, and while I've never had varutharacha curry before, the flavor and savoriness blew my mind. The samosa was thick, crunchy, and filled with delicious veggie interior, and the chicken was soft, juicy, and slid right off the bone. The dosas were crisp, and paired excellently with their sauces. We ripped, we shredded, we came, we conquered, we devoured. The food coma after eating everything was so, so worth it. Service was great, and we were kindly greeted by two workers at the front who got us drinks fast and took our orders as soon as we were ready. They were very friendly, and as the front desk is semi-facing the restaurant, we could catch either of their eye whenever we wanted or needed something and they'd come right over. The atmosphere is beautiful and I always feel like I have walked into a different kind dining experience. It's relaxing and a lot nicer than many of the local restaurants around here. I feel that it has a quiet nuanced feel that is simply elegant. I ordered the Create your own course because I wanted more. I was in time for the lunch special that they serve Tuesday-Thursday from 11-3 but that wasn't what I was looking for. When coming here I just wanted to enjoy my idea of the meal I can create. The create your own course is just that and for $40.99 you receive an "appetizer, entree, dessert served with two sides, naan or tandoori roti and sauce. If you would like an additional entree and two sides it's only an additional $16.99. Extremely reasonable for the amount of food you receive and how well the food is prepared and the service you get here. My favorite is the Chicken Vindaloo which is Chicken, chili, tomato and it has a little coconut in it. It's a spicy dish but a little tangy too. I love that the heat is flavorful and not overpowering that you cannot taste all the spices in the dish. The tandoori roti I enjoy thoroughly it pairs very well with this dish, I've had the Peshawari naan which is filled with cherries, coconut flakes, cashews and raisins and this is so different and delicious more of a dessert you must try too. I also had the chick pea salad and this is a mix of chick peas, lettuce, red onion, cherry tomatoes and cilantro. Nothing out of this world but refreshing. Last time I was here I had the Samosa Chaat for a starter it was so good! It's a potato turnover with chickpeas layered with chopped onions, yogurt, tamarind, mint chutney, and so flavorful! The Dal soup is also very nice it's a smooth mild soup made with yellow split pea lentils, some ginger and just the right amount of garlic. So many choices here and I'll keep coming back so I can be sure to try everything in the menu at least a few times! I have had dessert and I really enjoyed this as well wanting to try something different than I can get in most restaurants so I tried the Gulab Jamun that is a deep fried dumpling soaked in a sweet syrup that is infused with rose water and coconut. I don't know what to expect but I absolutely loved this and it wasn't as sweet as I thought it might be it was very pleasant and a mild flavor but truly delicious! Other than the food , the service is always really nice here, it's just a very nice experience coming to Amrit you feel lot's of peace and tranquility while dining.
