The man I talked to seemed friendly and took his time talking with me. So many associates rush customers this time of year. He did fix one problem I had for free; I had inserted the battery incorrectly. He showed me the proper way. He also looked at another watch I had, and pointed out there was a small plastic piece missing. He demonstrated what the piece did and why it was so important. He told me he couldn't fix that one unless I brought the piece in. I had two other watches (yes 4 total) that just needed batteries changed. I don't know if the batteries were more expensive, or their prices are higher because of their staffing & classy booth. I was quoted $18 per watch, but given the assurance they would be ready quickly. I told him I really appreciated his help and educational tips, but that I would be looking elsewhere to have the batteries changed. He was fine with that, not at all snotty or rude. So he basically flipped a battery for free, pointed out a missing thing on another watch, and gave me estimates for the other two. It is exceptional to get this level of service before committing to a purchase. They seemed very professional. This man was obviously an expert. I would return to at least get estimates on repairs before I went elsewhere. Their counters were clean and well-lit.

Since it was already around 5 PM and I had to leave for work, I was told to come back Tuesday, since they would be closed Sunday and Monday, and it would be ready for pickup. When I returned Tuesday, the necklace was not ready. More disappointing was the attitude of the employee working. Instead of explaining the delay, she responded very dismissively with, "But did I call you? No. So it's not ready," and acted as though I shouldn't have expected it to be ready without receiving a call. I was following the instructions I was given on Saturday. I completely understand that delays happen, but there was no reason to speak to me so rudely or make me feel like I had done something wrong by returning when I was told to. At this point, I'm also uncomfortable that my necklace is still in their possession given how poorly this was handled. Very disappointing customer service experience and I hope management addresses communication between employees and how customers are spoken to.

I've been a customer of this business for approximately four years. I originally purchased a chain…read morehere and have returned periodically for cleanings and polishing. Over the past year, however, getting service has become increasingly difficult. I was only able to have the chain cleaned about twice and fully polished twice, despite multiple attempts, because I was consistently told there were no available time slots and that the wait was around two weeks. On or around December 9, I stopped in again to ask about having the chain cleaned. I was told once more that the wait would be two weeks. I then asked whether there was an option to pay extra for faster service, as many businesses offer express or priority options. This was simply an attempt to find a solution after repeated delays. The response I received felt dismissive, and I was told that faster service would require stopping work for other customers. I left without issue and was not refused service at that time. Based on that ongoing experience, I posted my initial review. On Friday, December 13, I returned to the store hoping to address the situation professionally and see if my concerns could be resolved in person. When I entered, the front desk employee immediately identified me as the person who had left the negative review. There was no attempt to discuss my concerns or work toward a resolution. The interaction escalated quickly. My review was referenced aloud, voices were raised, and I was repeatedly told to leave the store using profanity. One of the men behind the counter stood up and shouted at me while directing me to leave. Although there was no physical contact, the behavior felt intimidating and unprofessional. At no point did I raise my voice, use profanity, or threaten anyone. I chose to leave to avoid further escalation. For clarity, I was not refused service prior to leaving a review. I had been a paying customer for years. The refusal of service and hostile interaction occurred only after my review was identified. This update reflects my firsthand experience as a long-term customer and is shared for transparency so others can understand how feedback was handled in my case. Additional context to my previous update: When I returned to the store, both the front desk employee and a jewelry staff member immediately identified me as the person who had left a Google review. That recognition happened as soon as I entered, before I had said anything. Instead of attempting to address my concerns or resolve the situation professionally, the interaction escalated. Voices were raised, profanity was used, and I was told to "get the f*** out." One of the jewelry staff members stood up and shouted at me while directing me to leave. The front desk employee also participated in the confrontation. Although no physical contact occurred, the behavior from both individuals made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I remained calm, did not raise my voice, and chose to leave to avoid further escalation. This update is shared only to accurately document how feedback was handled in person.

From the moment my father and I stepped inside, I was impressed by the immaculate store and welcoming atmosphere. We were immediately greeted by Aly, who was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely warm. There wasn't a hint of pretentiousness, which, unfortunately, can be rare at some luxury watch retailers. Aly was remarkably patient, taking the time to answer all my questions about various models and how they would suit our wrists. She clearly understood how to guide without pushing, making the experience truly enjoyable. While they didn't have the exact models I was looking for in stock, Aly promptly added me to their waitlist. What truly set this visit apart was an unexpected discovery: a stunning, pre-owned two-tone Rolex Submariner "The Bluesy" in one of their display cases. I hadn't planned on purchasing one, and honestly, online pictures don't do this watch justice! I was genuinely surprised that Kempf's had priced this lightly used, near-new watch so fairly--a stark contrast to the inflated prices often seen elsewhere. It was in pristine condition, practically brand new despite being a few months old, and came with all its original box, tags, and paperwork. It was such an incredible find that I simply couldn't pass it up! I'm absolutely thrilled with this impromptu purchase and have zero regrets. Beyond the fantastic "steal," the exceptional customer service from Aly was the true closer. Her professional, kind, and attentive approach made all the difference. It's a breath of fresh air compared to how I've been treated at other authorized Rolex dealers. I'm so fortunate that my family and I live close to such a remarkable jeweler. Kempf's Jewelers not only offers an outstanding selection of fine jewelry but, most importantly, provides unparalleled customer service. I've already recommended them to several friends and family members, and I wholeheartedly encourage anyone looking for fine jewelry to shop with them. The folks at Kempf's Jewelers are truly top-notch! I eagerly anticipate making many more purchases from them in the future. Kempf's Jewelers = The Bees Knees & The Cat's Pajamas! Cheers, Reed
