I could see my friend Brian, during the massage, as well as we were in the same room. After the massage we talked about how each therapist was able to work on our body and relieve our aches and pains. We both left feeling very relaxed and any areas of discomfort were relieved during a one hour massage. I would highly recommend a massage at TJ's on Vandyke in Macomb County!

$80... need I say more?…read more The fact that I didn't walk out when they said that was a mistake on my end. Anyway, one hour massage, let the time start ticking. The masseuse was a nice lady. She ran through a normal massage, nothing to write home about. As someone who gets massages on a regular basis, I know a great massage from an average. This was very average. At the end of the massage, the lady stayed in the room while I got dressed. It was very uncomfortable. Social cues? None there... She even directly asked me if I was going to tip (while I was still putting my clothes on). That was weird and poor customer service. She watched me pull out my wallet, and as I went through my bills, she had the nerve to complain that I only tipped her $10. She said "only $10, what about that $20?". Excuse me? Who are you talking to...? I should have never tipped her. The fact that she did not give me any privacy, and then had the audacity to ask for MORE money after delivering a sub-par massage... ridiculous. Did I forget to mention that it was even a full hour, too? I laid down at 5:30 and she stopped at 6:20... if I am paying $80 for an hour, I would like an hour. This is not rocket science, in fact, it's actually a relatively logical system to follow. I would not recommend going here. Unprofessional and not a great massage.

When a staff member finally appeared, the "welcome" was cold and interrogative. I paid $53 for 30 minutes, but the session was extremely uncomfortable. The staff member refused to give me privacy to change, staring at me while I undressed. She then proceeded to make inappropriate comments about my age and body, comparing me to her grandson in a shaming way saying I'm skinny and 15even tho I'm 24&her grandson is 23. To make matters worse, she took a phone call during my massage and discussed "special services" right after telling me massage only and pricing ($150/hr) right in front of me using industry shorthand. It felt very sketchy and unprofessional. The massage itself was poor--only the back was worked on. Despite the "new management" claims, this place feels unprofessional and suspicious. Save your money and go to a legitimate spa instead. thank you for the Hershey bar, but it didn't make up for the service.also it was a guy named BoB Seger a R&B artist in Detroit dat made a reference to a spot literally on John R&brush hope that helps.

First it took weeks to get an email reply back to even schedule the appointment. I finally get a 1 pm appt. The day of the appointment I arrive on time with my best friend only to sit in the lobby for 35 mins and to be told my another young lady who has a business in the same office building that the young lady who owns serenity 824 was there with another client. She never one time came out to acknowledge me or my friend. She never communicated not even by email that she was running behind and would be late for our appt. So essentially we left without ever been acknowledged or serviced and for that I am extremely disappointed. I emailed for weeks to get the appointment only for this to be the end result. I am a very understanding person and just a little bit of communication would have been greatly appreciated. You have no idea what a persons situation is or what they go thru to make scheduled appointments. I will never recommend your business smh
