The Chili Verde Burrito is awesome! Ron makes great burgers too.

57Alpha is a awesome gem of a restaurant and well worth the trip. The Chili Verde Burrito is the best thing on the menu and is highly recommended. I have never had anything bad here. It's run by Ron McKinney and been in business for 25 years! Bring cash, he doesn't accept credit cards.

Nice indoor or outdoor restaurant on the airport at Rutherfordton County Field.

Living here we had never heard of this place before finding it on here.on yelp…read more It really is out in nowhere not too far from town. When walking in you order at the window and you sit with a number and someone brings out. We started with a appetizer fried onion, sorta like petals of onion. It was pretty good. They have specials for the day I got the baked speg. Wasn't bad. With 2 sides come with it, corn nuggets were good and broccoli. The other meal was a hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and corn. But the one thing they are known for is the butterfinger cake, so we got a pice and upside pineapple cake. They were both good but the butterfinger was amazingly good!! The owner said some people come just for that cake because it sells out so fast. I am not big on Butterfingers BUT!! This cake is to die for. So good! We talked to the owner sounds like a family ran business he was passed down it from his grandfather and his Dad. I am surprised we didn't hear about it sooner. A small town and out all by itself like in a huge field. Try this place out! We would definitely go back and recommend you to try, Especially that dessert!!

Recently renovated with plenty of tables and some tvs... it was immaculately clean. I went here twice during the Holidays and had a burger both times so I cannot comment on other menu items. The burgers were fresh as were the toppings. Tater tots and fries were made fresh to order. Everything was delicious! The menu is HUGE. There are many different sandwich options, meats / veggies, and so much more. I will return!

Basically same place as previous place, Draft Sports Bar. Same bar, same tables same pool tables…read moreand TVs. Food is a tad different and the same style. Wings, burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and sandwiches . But they do a southern style home cooking with specials on Sunday. It changes from meatloaf, fried chicken, fish (whitting) . On to our food. We started with the spinach dip, it is definitely home made, good taste, not the over creamy stuff that's probably frozen. Good cheesy taste and tortilla s are fresh. $6.50 Daughter ordered the 1/4 lb burger with normal toppings, comes with fries for $8.00 plus .50 cheese. We got order of 24 wings, 12 hot buffalo, breaded and 12 lemon pepper, also breaded. The burger is a sad sad excuse for $8. Horrible size it looks not much bigger than a flattened meatball. Wings are good, but came out barely warm and the $4 fry is just a frozen half basket of yuck. So not impressed. They've been open 2 weeks now and only 1 other table of customers at prime rating location. No signage on front of building and the building is WAY off street half hidden by Denny's. I haven't seen much advertisement on social media or in local papers. Good luck getting business . Exactly why previous restaurantt closed. No one knew it was here, but at least the food was better quality at old place. One more thing. Debit or credit card is a 3.5% upcharge.

So I had the $8 burger + the .50 to add cheese talk about a big wast of $8.50 on a burger and…read morefires. But I will say this the burger had the good flavoring that you look for in the burger but the size of the burger being smaller than the bun! I will never order the burger here again unless they increase the size of the burger to match the price. And maybe give a cheese options of cheeses and maybe offer to season the fries. The spinach dip was good you could tell it was fresh homemade along with the chips just kinda wish the dip wasn't so greasy. The grease made it look unpleasant to look at. Not much of things from when this location was the draft has changed. There's no personality to make it stand out for what this place was with the past businesses that where here. And when I hear a place called City of Legends it makes me think of New Orleans kind of soul food/bar food but that's just my take on it.

From the moment you walk in, you get that "you're among friends" vibe--no fuss, no frills, just genuinely good food and genuinely good people serving it. The menu hits all the classics, but everything comes out tasting like someone in the kitchen still believes in doing things the old-fashioned way: hot, fresh, flavorful, and without any shortcuts. The burgers are juicy, the fries are crisp and addictive, and the portion sizes are generous enough that you leave full but still thinking about what you'll order next time. Service is quick, friendly, and attentive in that small-town way that feels effortless. You can tell the locals love this place--and after one visit, it's easy to see why. Slim's is one of those spots that proves great meals don't need to be complicated, just made with care. When they raised their prices, obviously necessary, I overheard several customers discussing the price increase~they agreed the prices were increased a bit too much. I understand both sides of the increases. People in this area are poor, for the most part; an increase estimated between a quarter to a couple of bucks adds up especially when bringing the entire family after Sunday Church services.

The first time I went I had the garlic cheddar bites. They are AMAZING! Unfortunately you must eat them there. You cannot take them home and reheat them because they get hard as a brick when you do so lol. Otherwise I'd take home sooo many orders. And their marinara they give you is sooooo good and a legit marinara! The fries are also amazing and one of a kind! They're not just typical restaurant fries, they have a unique crispy batter that tastes amazing! I don't remember what kind of. Main meal I got that time. But the second time I got the Philly. I unfortunately had to send it back. It was extremely dry. And I decided to go with the patty melt instead with extra onions which was WAY better and to DIE for! What disappointed my fiancé and I was his first time, he got the buffalo chicken sandwich, and the chicken was huge and great quality and it came with cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. The second time he got it, the chicken quality was horrible. It was a chicken patty that was smaller than the bread.. they made it open faced and it literally just had the plain patty and a piece of cheese on the bottom bun and then on the top bun, a squirt of buffalo. It was horrible. Overall everything is pretty great. But they do slack some days on certain items. I will say that every time we go, whatever server we get, is always so sweet, kind, understanding and a joy to be around!

The food? Spectacular. Every plate that came out looked like it had been handcrafted by angels who apprenticed in a BBQ smokehouse. The portions were the perfect mix of generous and "you're definitely taking leftovers home and happily eating them cold at midnight." And the flavors? Mercy. One bite in and you're suddenly questioning why you ever wasted calories anywhere else. The staff deserves special mention (Jada) friendly, hilarious, and quicker than a hummingbird after a double espresso. Five stars, two thumbs up, and one very happy, very full customer.
