It's so refreshing to know there are business owners who are not trying to pull one over on someone, especially in this economy! Within the past two years, I got a 2023 Volkswagen. My dad taught me about cars growing up, and since we always had American vehicles, we just took them to dealerships. Late December, my car had less than 17,000 miles and the VW dealership tried to charge me for new rotors and brakes which were over $700. Let's just say I definitely wasn't afraid to bring this up with my advisor since my rotors were clean. He then told me I just needed brakes which were almost $400. I might be a young woman, but I certainly do not like dishonesty ...maybe they did not expect me to know some basic things about cars. But I called up Arthur's shop right afterwards knowing that his shop was established and asked if he had some time to get me in to give me a second opinion. He got my car in right away and he took care of me. He got my brakes changed, confirmed my rotors were good and that they didn't need to be touched, and did so for a reasonable price. Highly recommend this shop for honest, good quality work and you're supporting a friendly local business. This is definitely going to be my new place!

After asking a few people for recommendations, I decided to try Trinity Auto. Arthur was so incredibly knowledgeable, extremely kind, AND charged me less for parts, labor, and fixing a leak that caused the mess than the dealership wanted for one of the parts alone. Finding Arthur was an absolute life saver and I'll never take my car anywhere else from now on.

The Short Story: Over two weeks waiting to pay $545 cash for a 6 foot wire only for my horn to fail…read morebefore I got home. The long story is I made an appointment in early December to have my horn fixed. Dropped of my 4Runner first week of January at the shop. They called the next day with a "solution", the clock spring. I had shared all the info when I first called but shared again, fuse and relay were known working items, clock spring was new from Toyota. I asked they check the continuity from the box to the horn as the everything up to the box was working. I waited a week with no info, called and they said they hadn't got it in. Called a few days later to check in and they hadn't gotten to it. Get a call the next week that they had "swapped the fuse box" but no horn. I asked again if they had checked continuity from box to horn. Fellow rattled on about radio (professional adapted harness so no splicing) and cluster (also professionally rebuilt). I shared that info, again, and asked that they check continuity. Next day they call back and mentioned stereo and cluster again but they had fixed it. They wanted $545 for diagnosing the issue and installing a "new sauntered and wrapped wire". I asked how it was routed and if it was wrapped, "yup". My wife took the $545 cash down and paid them but they weren't ready. Came back to get 4Runner at 5:05pm and the key was on the tire. Vehicle smelled like a garbage truck and ash tray but one honk and hooray. Drove home and as I was getting home someone pulled out and I honked. Or tried to. No noise. Pull into my drive and find the pictures above. Wire run under dash through firewall, under dash slapped together, and horn wire flopping around on the battery. Nothing holding it in place, nothing professional about any of it. I wouldn't go back here if they paid me, the lost time and frustration for what is a wing spans of wire to have it fail immediately is sad. I shall fix it and route it properly and consider the half a grand a lesson learned.

Please read. I am…read morenot much of a complainer & I usually just roll with the punches but what's right is right & wrong is wrong so, I had to share this with others in hopes you all don't waste time, money or energy dealing with people who simply couldn't care less about the way they treat customers or the work they do. 12/17/2024 I took my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee to South Tryon Auto with the check engine light on. I was unaware of the problem and wanted to get a diagnostic and have the repairs done. Joseph informed me that he was short staff and was almost working alone (which should have been a red flag) however, I was desperate to have my car serviced, and I left my car with him. Little did I know I would not get my car back until 1/16/2025, a month later. I paid almost $1600 for repairs/labor/parts, whatever and upon receiving my jeep back, the check engine light was still on. I was told to drive the car a few miles and it will go off. Also, when I initially dropped the jeep off on 12/17/2024, my park sense was not reading "unavailable" but on this day it was. After driving the car a while on that SAME day, I noticed the check engine light in fact did not go off and my park sense was still saying "unavailable" which it had not been doing before leaving my car with this shop for almost a month. So I called, same day as my pick up and spoke to JOSPEH and told him what was happening, he told me to bring the car back so they could reset the light and see what was happening with the park sense. I go to the shop this morning and am told by IVAN, that the park sense was not related to the work they completed. While this may be true (I'm not sure), if I paid for a diagnostic and brought my car to be repaired, why would I still have a check engine light on? I brought my car to you with the light on and left the same way, meaning something was still wrong, and my car wasn't fixed COMPLETELY! Nonetheless, aside from the work not being complete, IVAN decided it was a good idea to argue aggressively with me stating things like "I don't know how else to tell you or explain", avoiding direct yes or no questions, and refusing to be accountable for their wrong doing. And yes, I did assert myself as well! JOSEPH, whom I assume is the owner or manager did not come to assist or bring forth any resolution. Nor did he try to mediate or rectify the situation while he was there to hear and see what was going on. We were just going back and forth in the lobby and IVAN refused to admit that my car should've never left with the check engine light on and I should've never been told it would go off. He would not admit the check engine light should not be coming back on after work was completed by them because he did not want to incriminate himself or the mechanics for a half assed job. If I bring my car with the check engine light on, I ask you to fix it, why would you not address all problems before calling me to pay & pick it up? IVAN insisted on telling me what they fixed instead of acknowledging that they missed something, which they obviously did! I am posting this as a warning to not patronize this shop. Take my mistake and stay clear as your work will not be completed promptly or correctly and you will not be treated appropriately should you have a valid complaint or you are not satisfied with the work done.
