503 Diesel, I spun a bearing on my 2012 6.7 Powerstroke and tried to find someone to repair it.
I ended up calling 503 and talked to Nicky, very pleasant young lady, on the phone. I was told to have it towed to the shop and she'd try to get in in that day or a couple days later as they had mechanics out sick so they were 2-3 weeks behind, No problem. Two weeks later after calling the week before I was told she (Nicky) promised she'd get it in Thursday the 19th of January 2018. They received the truck on January 5th 2018. My son took me to the shop on Monday The 22nd of January 2018, it still layed in the same spot the roll back left it in. I went inside the office and Nicky came out and said "Hi! How're you?" I replied with I'm angry because my truck is still sitting outside. She right away got defensive saying That "I attacked her and she didn't appreciate it", I apologized right away telling her I didn't mean for it to come out that way, meantime they got the truck right in and drained the oil and removed my oil pan and sent me a picture of what looked like a handful of aluminum had been thrown in the pan, I mean it didn't even have oil on a lot of it. I asked Nicky to get me an estimate on getting it running and meanwhile, I started looking up prices on a new short or long block. I found both, Fairway Ford in Canton, Ohio sells them for $3400 plus tax, the long block was $6600. I started figuring and found I could afford that and the short block has a two year warranty!, factory warranty at that! I called Nicky to see what she had come up with and she sent me a picture of the long block price of $14000 list. I sent her a picture of the website and told her where I was getting it and I never got another call from them, it was all me calling them. I figured mark the engine up $1000 and 30-35 hours of labor to swap stuff over and install the engine including the lifting of the cab. 2 weeks later I called after hearing nothing from anyone at 503 and told her to push it out and get my bill together, Nicky said that was the best idea as I had told her I was going to dump it. I called a wrecker and my son and I met him there. They had the truck blocked in, which is fine I figured they thought they had to protect themselves, so they moved one and the driver loaded it up. I went in to pay my bill, now, as of now I had no idea of what they all they had done. I got my bill and it was $349 with change!! I asked for what? and she told me (I got the bill in my hands) well, we had to fix your negative battery cable, ok no big deal, and they plugged a scanner in to it and drained the oil and r and r'd the oil pan and charge 4 hours labor! Her husband who it turned out was the owner, was hanging around kinda hovering like he expected trouble and I asked what the four hours was for, well she said scanning it and repairing the cable and dropping and reinstalling the pan, Four hours at $75 an hour!. I couldn't believe it, I paid it and left. The truck is being repaired at another shop and he's selling me the short block with gaskets for $3800 and quoted me 25-30 hours at $75 an hour. 503 was at $70 an hour I was wrong when I said $75. Anyway, if you don't need your vehicle quickly nor if you're on a budget I WOULD NOT GO TO 503 DIESEL IN LEWISBURG, OHIO. I'll write another review of the shop I took it too BUT, he removed the pan on the day he said he would and all the aluminum? It was gone! Imagine that, so, along with slow and expensive 503 Diesel IMHO are THIEVES AND LIARS.
