The staff are super friendly and always there to help. Mr. Aaron and Ms. Lee are wonderful teachers. They are patient, kind and super great with kids. It makes me happy my son looks forwards to school everyday and that he's always happy every time I pick him up. Also, he always share how much fun he had learning and playing. Every events, projects and activities for the kids are so cute especially for the holidays. I love when they send us photos and videos through the day in class. Overall, I just love this school very much and sad when it's time for him to go grade school. This school will always be home and a safe place. Great waterfront access & there is a pool. A climbing tower! I didn't explore too much- there was a leader training I was popping in to show my support for a friend who was teaching the course. She was set up in campsite 8 and unfortunately the campsites need some serious maintenance- poison ivy is overgrown in most of the sites! Fire pits have not been raked and cleaned. In my old council, our Order of the Arrow helped the Camp Rangers every year to clean up and do service around the camps. I have no idea if that is done here, but it needs some tlc. I can't wait to see more of this camp!

It has a sparling blue pool that is next to the beautiful waterfront area and dock. I saw a a chery area and even a climbing wall. The place was well kept up and the restrooms were clean. We signed up for the trial, and it was great to learn the basics and get to know the structure and the people. During the trial, it was a great time for my daughter to get acclimated, focus on the routines, and the instructors were amazing! They took time and adjusted their teachings to the students and reinforced with practice it will come together. Each instructor was thoughtful, caring, and patient. Master Clarissa also helped guide me through signing up and talking through some of my daughter's unique needs. Amazing service! Our first beginners class today was wonderful. My daughter joined mid semester, and everyone has been so helpful, welcoming, and supportive! There are so many positives to PVMAA. From the application with easy access videos for practice to the scheduling, to purchasing gear, and overall, the owner and everyone there is so great at communicating and connecting. After my daughter earned her white belt on the way home, she said she was so proud of herself, and it really made her feel good about herself. Those are magic words to any parent. We shopped around, and this one for sure, hands down, was the winner. I would highly recommend it!

Was out to the movies with friends and family and The school must of had a Movie Day field trip. Ms. A****** her teacher were in the same theater as us and they kept shushing the children to the point of getting in one of their face as to threaten the child while waving her finger in the child's face. I had to bite my tongue not say anything specially after they both started talking, lounder than the child she scolded. Ugh! We had to evacuate the theater and while we waited for the fire department to arrived I went to ask what school they were from and at which location. Told them thanks and walked away. A***** in minutea approach me to ask why and ifI had a child to enroll? I told her no, it was to write a review in regards to the way they were with disrespecting the children. Unfortunately, she didn't like what I said and called me rude. Ironically it was her and the other teacher being extremely rude to the children. Rude because I called her out? Rude, Rude, Rude was what she kept yelling at me as she walked away. I did tell her to have a nice day and to treat the children better and with more respect. So, imagine if this is how they treat the children out in public... It terrifies me to think on how they are treating the children behind closed doors. Parents, do your homework and don't let anyone disrespect your child because they are young. Advocate for a child!

Jen Daly was so good with her, teaching her all the fundamentals from the tact room, to grooming the horse, and riding the horse. Too often parents just take their kids to "ride a horse" without learning to appreciate how much goes into taking care of a horse. Charlotte learned all those things in a couple of hours, she even mucked the stall and enjoyed it. Jen had her riding Lola (a wonderfully gentle horse) within a matter of minutes and steering the horse on her own. I only wish Charlotte lived here year round so I could enroll her in ongoing lessons at Southern Pines. A very clean, well managed facility where it's clear to see how much they love and care for the horses, the property and their clients.
