I requested a refund on August 7th. No response. I requested again on the 28th. No response. I demanded a refund on Sept 1st, so far no response. I believe I will soon have to contact the BBB, Ohio AG and possibly take this vendor to small claims court, if I do not receive my deposit refund soon. Do not use this service. Eventually, we went with another service: T&S Bartending and I highly recommend them.

Let me start by saying that I really wanted to love Short and Stout. I was so excited about the…read moremobile bar idea and wanted it to be a part of my vision so much that I booked with them a year in advance of my wedding. That being said, I hope that this is a fair review. I think other people should be aware of what went wrong so they can weigh the risk. I hope that the company can learn from this review, as I believe the concept is so amazing and that they have the potential to be great. When I first booked with Short and Stout they were responsive and I made my security deposit. About a month prior to my wedding all communication went radio silent. I had several questions and we were approaching my final payment deadline. I sent multiple emails over the course of the month that went unanswered. It wasn't until 5 days prior to my wedding that I received a response. This was after sending an email imploring the vendor to confirm if they would still be attending my wedding, reaching out on social media, and having my mother reach out by email as well. The vendor response was that she was sorry, she had been busy. I brushed it off, confident that all would now be well, made my final payment, and awaited my wedding day. On my wedding day, the mobile bar was late. They were supposed to arrive 2 hours prior to the event to set up, they were an hour late. As I was trying to get ready for my wedding, we were making a plan B in case of their no show. After the ceremony when guests approached the bar during cocktail hour, we realized not only had Short and Stout not brought any of the non-alcoholic beverages they were supposed to provide (I paid $264 for this service), but they also did not bring any water. This is a service that the mobile bar provides included in your charges (total charges $1871.51 to give clarity on full service expense-this does not include the alcohol that you must purchase yourself). It was 96 degrees and we relied on this vendor to provide our drinks, because it was stated in our contract that they would. Family members had to rush offsite to the grocery to get bottled water. I had also purchased the Mr. and Mrs. corn hole as part of our package ($75), but that was forgotten as well. In addition to all of this, which was incredibly stressful because we had to provide 130 guests with non-alcoholic beverages during the reception, several guests unfortunately told me that the bartenders had poor attitudes. Following the wedding I reached out asking for a refund for the corn hole and the non-alcoholic services not provided. I was given this refund, but it was me who reached out. There was no proactive accommodation made by Short and Stout to correct what I would consider large mistakes. The apologetic response received was that the owner was moving, along with raising children. While I understand life can be overwhelming and stressful, when you run a business you are responsible for seeing a contract through. You are obligated as a business owner to provide to your clients what has been paid for. I am extremely disappointed with Short and Stout. The reason the rating is one star and not zero is because the mobile bar itself was aesthetic and made for some nice photos. Short and Stout: Please do better in the future, especially for your clients who are living one of the most important days of their lives. Thank you for the services you did provide, we are grateful for them. We wish you the best.

We used Short & Stout for our backyard wedding and Greta was the perfect addition. We used the…read moreportable bar at the front of the house to greet guests with a glass of champagne and Greta was parked in back, right by our reception tent. Our guests loved Greta and a few of them are trying to come up with reasons for Greta to come to their house. 3-year-old birthday party, game days...Lehne was great to work with. We enjoyed our signature cocktails of a Moscow mule and a lavender mojito. We utilized them for the glassware and their mixing skills and we provided alcohol for the full bar. They made our wedding even more special for us and our guests.
