I've been trying out Five Points lately and I am a fan! It's such a cute little place in the middle of a neighborhood. I really love their outdoor window that you can walk up to instead of going inside. Everyone has been so friendly and after I had been there a few times I realized they had a punch card. I mentioned that I didn't realize when I had been there prior that they had one so the barista gave me an extra punch! I usually go for a basic iced latte - caramel or Irish cream with a milk alternative but they do have fun drinks listed as their specials. Their coffee is good - I need to try a speciality latte next time. They also have some pastries. I've had the bacon cheddar quiche which is delicious and their muffins. Recently I tried the apple chai and blueberry muffins. They warm everything up for you and give you little pats of Irish butter. Solid Irish spot! They have a good amount of seating both inside and outside and street parking nearby is free. The barista who took our order was friendly and they had a good variety of drink options. We ordered an iced honey lavender latte and an iced Celtic miel (with oat milk), as well as a sausage roll and a lentil roll. The drinks were tasty and the rolls weren't bad but we both wished they were a little more flavorful (the lentil roll could have used some more spice or added hot sauce, in my opinion). I had heard great things about this place so today I decided to try it for myself. The location had plenty of free street parking. I purchased from the take out section that was covered with World Cup decor and seating for you while you wait for your order. The staff were pleasant and made great recommendations. This is a hidden jem. I went for a new experience. They have seating inside and a very nice patio outside. I was going to get a drink and leave, but the enjoyable music made me stay. The live music that was not overly loud and was relaxing. I ordered an Iced Moonberry Latte. It was delicious. The taste of lavender and blueberry were subtle, they were not strong or over powering. While listening to the music I decided to go back in and try the Irish Sausage Roll which was pretty good. It was a sausage wrapped in a puff pastry. The ambience was very pleasant. Being a fan of the occasional cup of London Fog, I knew I had to try the Dublin Fog. By far, this was the best chai I've ever gotten. 5 Points is a cute little Irish coffee shop tucked away in a residential area of West Park. Despite being off the beaten path it was consistently busy while we were there. They offered a French press option, which I have not seen at other coffee shops in the area. It was the perfect amount for two people. 5 Points also had vegan options. The Winter Bread was tasty and if you really liked it you could buy an entire loaf. The dining room was small and cozy. They have ample outdoor seating in the warmer months. The staff were friendly. We had a larger order and it was brought to our table. If i am in the area I would definitely stop in again. read more

UPDATED REVIEW (March 2023) -- My precious review from 2019 is below. I came back years later in March 2023 after originally visiting this little cafe. I visited the weekend of St Patrick's Day on a Saturday morning. This is an Irish cafe that my friend Teagan suggested we come visit so I met my friend here for tea/coffee. There is seating at the back entrance but it is cold because it's outside with no heat but it is covered. TIP -- Instead of the front entrance, order from the back entrance which may be quicker than standing in the long front entrance line. DRINKS -- I don't drink coffee but my friend Teagan ordered a coffee drink with I think some Irish creme and she loved her drink. I was going to order a cup of tea but I just drank some tea when I returned back to my apartment. FOOD (breakfast baguette - 3/5) -- I had such a nice and long chat with my friend that I only ordered food as I left. I tried the Irish Breakfast Baguette ($7.50) that my friend told me about. She had already hers and ate it before I arrived (I was late to our hangout). I ordered mine to go after hanging out with my friend (chat). The Irish Breakfast Baguette sandwich is only served on weekends. It tasted good and has a generous amount of bacon and sausage. It comes with a toasted buttered baguette, scrambled eggs, Irish sausage, Irish bacon, Irish tomato relish (Ballymaloe), and Dubliner cheese. The bread that I got (baguette) was not buttered and having butter on it would have been nice because it was hard since it was toasted. I quickly ate mine in my car before going So, I rate the Irish Breakfast Baguette (3/5). SERVICE -- is still very good and I have no complaints (5/5) AMBIANCE (5/5) -- This is a family friend cafe that gets BUSY on weekends. Because it is so small, there was a line when I arrived but my friend was at the back so I met her at the back entrance and there was no line to order. The ambiance is welcoming and there were 2 live musicians playing inside (one played the harp and the other played a violin). One of them also sang and her voice was good. read more

Our favorite local hidden gem! They serve the best coffee around, and the staff, ambiance, and treats make every visit a great one. We stop by weekly and love the punch card system that lets you earn a free coffee -- such a nice touch. They're closed on Mondays but open the rest of the week, and they even offer bulk ordering, which is super convenient. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

Cute little Irish coffee place with lots of Irish heritage vibes. Their lattes are on point! (pun intended)... The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. I got the oat milk chocolate orange latte and my wife got the oat milk Merry Mint Mocha. Both were made professionally with the right froth temperature. Not sure why but currently only half of the inside area is open, nothing makes any sense these days. They have an outside patio area and also a covered patio section. This would be a great place to get work or studying done especially if they ever open up the whole interior seating. I had a latte with oat milk and sugar free Irish cream syrup. The flavor was lacking, I could only taste the oat milk. Limited options for plant milks, they only offer oat. I expect more from coffee shops, usually they have almond milk too. The sitting area was pretty basic, nothing cozy that would make me want to sit and drink my coffee there. I think I may have found one of my new favorite coffee shops!! I had the BEST oat milk latte with their Irish cream flavoring. The menu is simple, with a few very intriguing flavors, and a few seasonal drink options. I have never had a latte so creamy, frothy, and quite frankly- extremely chug-able LOL. They have a wonderful outdoor patio, and an amazing, large covering to walk in an order to avoid snow, rain, and all the weather things. I posted a review of the Starbucks in the West Park Shopping Center a little while ago. I was bombarded with replies telling me the best place for coffee in West Park is Five Points Coffee and Tea. The enthusiasm of the replies rubbed off on me and I decided to check it out. Getting to this one-of-a-kind destination is half the fun. FPCT is nestled in a mature, well kept neighborhood with sidewalks full of young couples with strollers, lawns decorated with ghosts and spiders in preparation for the spooky holiday. When I say nestled, I mean NESTLED. One of the cool things about FPCT is that it's not on a major road or commercial setting. It is literally at the intersection of five quiet neighborhood streets. This is not a high traffic area like Lorain Avenue. If you decide to enjoy your caffeine in the outdoor seating area, you won't be assaulted by the noise and fumes of high-speed passing car traffic. To say that FPCT is popular is a gross understatement. I arrived on a Sunday morning around 11. The place was full of activity. Outside was a stand displaying autumn apples and Mums for sale. People were using the outdoor seating, enjoying their hot coffee in the cool autumn air. The cozy inside was full of children and grandparents and everything in between. Every seat was taken. A folksy brother and sister duo was playing for the room. The chalkboard menu is large and overflowing with every conceivable permutation of coffee and tea including the various syrups and flavorings people love. They also have a food menu with breakfast and sandwich items. They also have swag - like t-shirts and mugs. I ordered an iced coffee - a new taste I have developed - with Irish cream syrup. It was incredibly good and others on this site have said the same. The place has an Irish flavor -not surprising as the neighborhood is home to some City of Cleveland police and firemen. The bottom line is that Starbuck's faux hipness, full of lonely soles glued to their laptops and phones, can't hold a candle to the friendly, neighborhood atmosphere of Five Points Coffee and Tea. Little gem in the Kam's Corner neighborhood! My cappuccino is filled with crema and deep flavor. Reminds me of Australia or Italy. The Irish pie is also very good. I was surprised by the amount of bacon pieces you get. Goes real well with the potato in it. Lots of cheese and some chives on top. The pie crust is creamy and flaky. One of the best savory items I've ever had at a coffee shop. Very satisfying for a cool sunny day in the fall:) I really liked the simplicity of the space and the variety of the menu. I can't believe I am just reviewing this place now. Five points is wonderful, and it's right next to a yoga studio so you can take a yoga class and then get a coffee and a bite after. So after yoga this morning I got a lavender iced coffee and the corned beef pastry. I am not a huge meat eater but I could eat four of these corned beef pastries, the flavor is phenomenal and they do this so well. Even if you're vegetarian or vegan you should really at least once in your life try this corned beef pastry.
