There are two parking lots - one on each side of the pool. It's located about half a mile from Confluence Park and the Mission Reach connects the two. From the park, it's a half a mile walk to the actual Mission Concepcion. While you are here, find your way to the edge of the park near the SA River and find the "Mission Portal" (it's a round, stone tower as seen in the photos). From the top of the portal, you can see the top of Mission Concepcion if you look carefully. Steps on one side and an ADA ramp on the other side. You can also head out further toward Mission San Jose - just a few more miles down the Mission Reach trail. One last thing to check out while you are here. This site is where the first major skirmish of the Texas Revolution took place. The first Texan to die during the revolution died here, and he was the only one to die in this battle. There's a monument near the pool house on the Theo Avenue side and it explains more about the Texan who died and the Battle of Concepcion.

Otherwise the structure is railed in so it's fairly safe. 2 swings available, but no full-seating baby swings. The park is right next to 5 Diamonds baseball park so littler kids can keep busy while the older ones are playing league games or practicing. Picnic tables and shady trees all around if you're bringing sandwiches and a cooler, or if you get hungry and didn't bring anything, it's across the street from Abe's Burgers (yummmm!) This place is just big enough to keep the kids busy for an hour or two. I'm always overprotective of my daughter but I have never met anything but the nicest kids here, always willing to kindly take turns on the slides and swings. Can't forget to add that it's a PokeGym if you want to stop and take over for Team Instinct while your kids get some energy out. Negatives: Near busy street traffic on South Flores and gate doesn't close. Parking is either across the street at the gas station or in the back of 5 Diamonds if the gate is unlocked (Check the last one before the park.) Overall, our choice for a place to play close to home! Did I mention it's a PokeGym? 4 stars and great addition to the neighborhood! My Yelp rating system: 5 stars= Add this to your bucket list! 4 stars= I would recommend visiting. 3 stars= Average, acceptable, positive. 2 stars= You might be able to drag me in. 1 star= I will definitely not be returning.

So I'm really happy there is a playground nearby and I know there is a whole lot to be added and for now I perfectly ok with it. But a few things that bug me are how close this park is to the street and the parking situation may or may not be in existence.

The atmosphere inside the stadium was electric fans were into it, music was on point, and you could really feel that playoff energy. One of the biggest wins for me was the front row parking super clutch and made the whole night smoother. Drinks were solid (a little pricey, but expected at a game), and the restrooms were surprisingly clean considering how packed it was. On a personal note, I even connected with someone there that could turn into a great business opportunity, so that made the night even more worth it. Only downside was the service. It felt slow and a bit unorganized at times, especially when trying to get attention or place orders. Overall, great vibes, great crowd, and a memorable nighteven walked out with a win on my bet. I'd definitely come back, just hoping the service improves next time.

Parking on-site varies and starts at $20 and up depending on the event. Traffic does get crazy but the police have it strategical planned well. Very organized! Staff is always friendly and helpful! Plenty of food options and the average stadium pricing. As far as viewing an event, there is a bad seat in the house for the view BUT as you go higher up, the stairs are pretty steep.

I am so happy to have found a new park in the southtown/downtown area!…read more Hemisfair park is usually my go-to place to take my kiddo in the mornings, but that park can get super chaotic during spring break or other holidays, which is not very ideal. A friend recommended Labor Park and mentioned it was only a couple blocks away from Hemisfair. The park itself is very nice and you can tell the city has taken good care of it. I really like that they have a covered playground which is a major plus during hot summer days (playgrounds can get HOT y'all). They also have a nice baseball field for the little ones, a basketball court, and some gym equipment which kids love to play with. On our time there, we saw a couple other families playing around and enjoying the nice weather. Overall it is a nice neighborhood park!

Southtown outdoors gym! The Labor Street Park has been…read morerenovated and reopened! It's been transformed into an outdoor exercise area! It used to be an empty, decrepit lot in Southtown, but now has trees, a backstop and baseball diamond, outdoor gym equipment, and trees to hang out under. This park used to be a crumbling area, but a local kickball team took up as their cause to clean it up, patch the potholes, and get the park up and running. It used to be owned with the San Antonio Housing Authority, but it was only recently granted to the city. The local kickball team got sponsored by the city, and Coca-Cola, who funded the renovation of the park, and sponsors ongoing exercise classes with the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department, so check their website for schedules. I heard that they're hiring lots of veterans to teach exercise boot camps to civilians at no cost. They've got lots of gym equipment out here to enjoy, so you can get your pump on for free. The picnic area is a nice place to get a post-workout snack. Parking is easy- all on the streets, but the area isn't controlled by downtown events parking, so you can generally always find a spot in here for downtown parking, but it's a bit of a hike. Overall, it's a pretty good park that's been redone, giving other options for parks in the southtown area! I'd recommend checking it out. It's a wonderful example of how a local grassroots movement took charge to do something positive for San Antonio!
