I have patronized this store for a while now ever since I REFUSED to shop at Beauty Emporium in Easton, Pa as the owner was rude and tried to make me PAY for a FREE SAMPLE. I purchased two "3 on one" bundle packs to do a client's hair. This was the first time that I tried this particular type and manufacturer. By the time that I was gone, this brand of hair was HORRIFYING! 1 bundle out of the 3 pack shed SOOOOO horribly, I only was able to use 2 instead of the 3 AND, my client's hair was still not complete. I assured her that I would remedy the situation. I explained my dilemma to the owner, a EXTREMELY NICE MAN FROM Africa which also impressed me. He NOT ONLY THANKED ME for my feedback and was glad I helped his business to know what does or doesn't work well like what it sayson the package, but gave me....TWO NEW BUNDLE PACKAGES OF HAIR TO REDO MY CLIENT'S HAIR......... AT NO ADDITIONAL COST! I was FLOORED by his respect of MY MONEY as well as his AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! This WOULD'VE NEVER EVER HAPPENED AT the "BEAUTY EMPORIUM " store across the bridge in Easton. This was my first time coming to this store and I have to say the pricing is outlandish and they are basically stealing your money. The owner of the store was nice at first. I asked him where the Durag section was and he directed me to the wall at which they stay. I began looking around for prices only to come to the realization that price tags were not hung what so ever. So I ask the owner how much for one durag and he told me it was $3.99. I then proceeded to respectfully ask why they were charging so much for just one and he responded by asking me "how much do you usually get them ?" I then responded "in Irvington they usually charge 1.99" he then proceeded to get up from behind the counter and take the Durags I was looking for out of my hand. Responding "then go get 10 dollar gas and go buy your 1.99 durags" I didn't want to create any trouble so I gave him them back and told him to have a great day.It's crazy how a 18 year old can handle that situation better than someone who in charge of a business like you're own. You are very rude and disrespectful to someone who simple asked a question about the pricing. I HOPE everyone knows that everything in that store is incredible overpriced and hopefully find a better and more respectful shop.I hope everyone noticed a pattern when someone has something bad to say about his store. The owner of this store is VERY disrespectful and UNPROFESSIONAL! I came into this store to purchase hair bleach and edge control. A lot of the items do not have prices listed. Upon checking out, I asked him which of my items was 6.99. He responded that the edge control was and proceeded to charge my card. I tried to ask him not to ring up the edge control because the price was too high (normally no more than $4.50 in retail stores) he still charged it and handed me my bags. I asked to return the edge control and he instantly caught a fit! First he tried to jokingly say that I couldn't and then when he saw how serious I was he become irate and nasty towards me. He started the refund for the edge control and then came from behind the register and snatched my bag off of my baby stroller with the hair bleach inside and said since his items were too high he's giving me a full refund. I told him he was being very unprofessional and disrespectful. Even threatened to call the cops. He then processed the refund and I'm glad cause I will never support or refer this store to anybody. read more

Shopper beware. No prices on most items. Owner/worker will quote you whatever price they want. Which is unfair consumer rights tactics. Do your homework. Research the price of the products while you are there. If you are quoted a much higher price, question it! If they won't offer a reasonable price, move on! No prices on the wigs or hair. Not cool. Be careful. You don't want to pay a 300% mark up. And the customer service is yet to be desired. If they fix these things they'd have a standing chance. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! THIS MAN WILL NICKEL AND DIME YOU ON EVERY PRODUCT AND SERVICE. HE LACKS QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL SCAM YOU IF YOU ALLOW IT. He will tell you that he has the best prices and try to sell you everything in the store, then will charge extra just for assisting you or in my experience, if you change your mind about buying 1 out of 3 items, he will tell you that you cannot buy anything at all (FULL STORY FURTHER DOWN, keep reading). If you breathe too much air in the cramped hole he calls a beauty supply store, he might even double tax you! PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS, ALWAYS REVIEW THE PRICES AND WATCH WHAT HES TYPING INTO HIS 1940 CASH REGISTER if you so choose to support such a place. I am fairly new to the area and started going to 4M for wigs last year some time but I immediately stopped when I realized he would add on fees that did not make sense and then get defensive when I asked why. I returned to where I am from in Essex County NJ to get my wigs and THEN around Feb/March I decided to give this man another CHANCE when my mom really needed a wig coming out of recovery from a surgery and couldn't go far. He pretended to be very accommodating and nice and I even think he gave her a deal so I started returning every week, yes, EVERY WEEK, to buy my wigs but ofcourse ALWAYS CHECKING THE PRICE. I know I can be very needy, indecisive, and get frustrated in trying to find the best wig for me but I always BUY and in CUSTOMER SERVICE you should want to be there to help your client come to the best option without being forceful or making it seem like you are annoyed or aggravated (mind you, if anyone was there, I would wait on him just so I am not holding him up from other business). But I brushed his attitude off because he would give me deals due to the fact that I bought a wig that was not cheap EVERY WEEK, sometimes 2!!! HERES WHY I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS PLACE. I went there for a wig, wig cap, and I also saw a scarf with a pretty pattern so I picked that up to. I was about to look for a 2nd wig to buy but was informed by the man that it was almost closing time, which was cool, I just said I'll come back tomorrow for the 2nd wig. I came to the register and saw that he already totaled everything, but like I said, ALWAYS WATCH THE PRICES HE'S ENTERING. The price seemed high so I started inquiring about the price of the scarf, and ofcourse he began getting defensive saying it was the tax. He refused to enter the prices individually again so I told him to take the scarf off, to which he responded "then don't by nothing". SERIOUSLY??!! I have bought wigs in many places, NEVER HAVE I EVER been dismissed in this manner for deciding not to buy an item because of the price. I have referred my Mom AND my Sister here, my sister even bought bundles from him, which she later told me she found the same set of bundles online for half the price!!! People go here because they think it is the only beauty supply store in the area but it is not! There is also SYSTAHOOD in Easton, BEAUTY EMPORIUM, and even WALMART. Yes, WALMART carries all products these beauty supply stores offer, and at a much cheaper price. I got my Got2b glue, Ecogel, Combs, etc, all from Walmart. If you are looking to buy hair at a cheaper price, your best bet is to buy online. You can look at the brand and name of wig or bundle on the tag then search for it online and find it for much cheaper. I am sure there are other Beauty supply stores in the area. I will certainly find them and update this but please DO NOT choose to be taken advantage of at 4M just for convenience! He will only continue this behavior as long as he is able to get away with it. THANK GOD Easton and the surrounding area is expanding, I PRAY that the addition of new businesses pushes frauds like him out !!! PS This same review is also on google, but it looks like he is either creating new email accounts to write good reviews about himself or having his family do it because right after I posted the review there was an influx of positive reviews after. Very disappointing. Visited this store today with my young daughter that unfortunately deals with a hair loss issue. Needless to say it is very difficult for a 14 year old and she has dealt with this her entire life. She has a rare condition with no cure called Monilethrix. We were excited to find a wig shop that was near us and were planning on buying a few today. Her young friend came for support and watched the day turn from excitement to tears. The man that worked there was rude, not at all friendly let alone compassionate. Little did we realize that the store policy is to only be allowed to try on 3 wigs. We were shocked and disappointed. How can you make a decision on something that you need to wear every day by only trying on three. We weren't there for dress-up, we weren't there to have something different and fun, we were there for a need. I asked why this policy was in place and the rude man said we don't allow you to try on more because "people just get confused if they try on more than that" So they do not need or want more of my money? So you thought my daughter would be confused if she tried on more than 3 wigs? I will tell you that confusing is explaining to a young girl why she has no hair. He got in my face as he held up 3 fingers saying only 3 and that is the owners rules. I asked who the owner was and little did I know she was sitting in a chair right next to the door where I was speaking to the rude man. She just said that's the policy. Even after I explained my daughter's condition you would've thought she would've said something or allowed us to try on multiple wigs so we could leave happy. I am still in shock at how awful we were treated. I will never visit this place again and I would rate it zero stars if I could. So proud of my daughter for getting through today and everyday and even more proud that she knows how to never treat people the way that we were treated today. read more
