It's not a super fancy RV park by any means but each site does offer full hookups and the site manager was very friendly and helpful. The park is pet friendly, however, there are no poop stations on site. No fear though, the dumpsters are just a short walk away on site. The WiFi was pretty nonexistent at our site. Maybe other locations on site had better luck but we got some internet the first night but after that the signal just kind of faded away/stopped working. Well, what better way to enjoy the snow and nature than to disconnect. I love that this location is away from the sights and sounds of the city. You really feel like you're out there enjoying nature. The drive to Red River isn't too bad of a hike from this park but going to Angel Fire will take about an hour.

The hosts were so pleasant and explained how to circumvent the construction on the main road through town. It's a few miles from the Royal Gorge Bridge, and in the other direction, the Taos Pueblo. It was so quiet at night, even though it's right on US64, an occasional car. Not an issue. The skies were so perfect for star gazing as it's far from the Taos city lights, I could even see the veil of the Milky Way. It was amazing. I would definitely recommend this to any traveler. They have full pull through sites, back-in, and a few sheltered tent sites.

He and his fiancé asked if my mom and I would take my future niece along for a ride on the Scenic Summer Chairlift. My niece was free since she's only 5-years-old. My adult ticket was $25. It was a long steady ride, but some rain clouds did dump a cold shower on us at the very top. The lift just kept moving along. Lol. Parking was a bit sparce in that area, but there was plenty of spots in the Red River Ski & Summer Area lot. It's a nice, clean area. Many folks were hiking below us. Some were in ATVs. Of course there's lots of shopping and a few restaurants in the area. Red River and other fishing opportunities were nearby. I would be interested to ski here when/if the snow arrives.

The 2 bedrooms were spacious and comfortable king bed and queen. At the front desk we could borrow disks to play disk golf at condo owned course next door, corn hole, and many other games like badminton. The owners take really good care of their vacation homes. Chic and Denise, the on-site managers, go out of their way to make your stay as restful and enjoyable as possible. I had a difficult time at the snow mansion…read more I just wrote about it this morning and already i recieved no response from the owner and from any of the staff members there. in the summer of 2020 I visited the snowmansion for a few months and a few days into my stay I fell into the septic tank. A kind resident had the curtesy to smudge me off and to get me through the shock. She took the responsibility of helping me because it happened as I was helping her with a dragon sculpture. We turned out to be closer during my stay and my respect for her stayed good. They noted that I was luck I didn't break anything but I fell into it trap door style and I scratched and brusied myself hard. Muna noted that her sons were idots to leave a dangerous spot like this around when there were children also staying there, As she spoke to me in a patronizing was that she often speaks to most people if not petting their egos. I remember Muna the owner telling me before I could ever think of suing, thank you for not suing us. I remember how I fell and Muna also a body worker did minimal body work like massage or acupuncture to help me heal. ( I have scoliosis but she didn't even seem to have much thought about how this even affected my body and my nervous system. I was paying a discounted price for my room but I never got any lower prices because they seemed defensive when I brought up paying lower due to the fall, Anu said " I didn't know you felt so angry" They clearly don't have much expertise customer service. Muna can be unessisarly nasty to people at times, and you much guard yourself from her random anger and not take it to personally. She must have tone it down on me because I had fallen and I didn't even complain much so they all thought I was a great visitor! I found that regardless of the signs that read no drugs allowed, they are very 420 friendly. I remember my first visit, I felt like a dear in he headlights and someone sent me there but I ran away because I could not bear Muna because around her I had a huge difficult loving myself, which may have been simply a reflection about how she felt about herself. During my stay as if I was not a flexible enough candidate, I was asked to move my room around in case someone else wanted to rent it! They were asking me to rent a cabin a very small room shortly after my fall! for the same price! My struggles there with Muna and Anu not having good relations with most of the staff or with me, I had a difficulty finishing and focusing my energy on Native Roots because I didn't feel supported by them or safe there. There were some nice things, like sweat lodges and drug circles and connections with people, maybe the moral was that I needed to develop the connection with myself instead of putting myself through so much suffering... Some of the hotels/lodging on the mountain are lovely but we didn't stay there due to higher cost. We stayed in El Prado, about a 30 minute drive, however, it's a beautiful drive. Of course, we wish there had been more snow but that's the case everywhere out west in December-January 2025-2026 or so it seems. Either way, the consensus from our party was that we would return here to ski again.

Our 9-year-old son's first skiing experience was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the exceptional staff who provided not only quality instruction but also positive reinforcement throughout. Really nice twenty-something kids who could probably ski in their sleep did an outstanding job supporting every kid... including kids like ours who were strapping on skis for the first time in their lives. What truly set this ski school apart was the unwavering positivity - no negative words were uttered to any child in the classes. Even in a year with minimal natural snow, the instructional facilities at Taos Ski Valley were top-notch, well groomed and maintained. The progressive teaching approach ensured that our son, along with his fellow students, developed their skills steadily. By the end of the day, they were confidently riding up the Gondolina, pointing their skis to stop quickly, making strong turns, and enjoying a thrilling ski run down the hill. The natural beauty of Taos Ski Valley--despite the 9 degree temperature when we arrived in the morning!-- served as a breathtaking backdrop to our son's introduction to skiing, enhancing the overall experience. After just one lesson, our son is now completely hooked on the sport. We highly recommend Taos Ski Valley's Youth Ski School for its exceptional instructors, positive environment, world class facilities, and the perfect blend of instruction and enjoyment that turned our son into a skiing enthusiast after just one day. It was truly an amazing experience.
