Julie's dog comes to work with her and she's a doll too! At other salons, I've picked up my dog after the appointment and she's visibly distressed for the rest of the day. Julie called me to let me know Layla was close to being done and when I arrived, Layla was hanging out behind the desk, comfortable behind a playpen gate (but not in a kennel) next to Julie while Julie was working on her next dog client. Layla was happy and has never looked better! Julie books pretty far out, but if you make your next appointment when checking out, you'll have no issues. we can't wait to visit again!

I can't say enough amazing things about this place…read more We have a five year old Vizsla, named Parker. Vizsla's, as a breed, should not be groomed. It ruins their skin or something. I don't know. She does need her nails cut frequently though...they grow crazy fast! So when we lived in NYC, we had Parker's day care cut her nails periodically, and we were never part of the process. We moved to Westchester and now have a dog walker, so no day care to cut her nails. Instead, we tried to have the vet cut them, which was disastrous. Parker is a real nut job lunatic about having her nails cut, and our usually sweet girl bears her teeth and tries to kill whoever is wielding the clippers. (She's 60 pounds of pure muscle. She could 100% take you and me out.) Since that didn't go well at all, we decided to give Groom Spot a try since they are close to our house and we like to support local businesses anyway. You guys. Julie and Larry are the dog whisperers. Julie is THE ONLY one who can cut Parker's nails. My husband and I usually take Parker over to them together, we don't have an appointment, but Julie and Larry stop what they are doing and take Parker in right away to clip her nails. Larry puts a muzzle on Parker (don't judge us, it's completely necessary) and my husband and I hold her down. But honestly? Julie usually has two feet clipped short and DONE before Parker even realizes what is happening. She doesn't really have much chance to freak out. And Parker is really smart (not just saying that because I'm her mother). The back two legs are usually a struggle, but Julie expertly and quickly handles it. We never have to come back another time, they have never not taken us, and they are two of the kindest, most professional people in this business. They are always smiling, and I don't think I would if I were them, Parker is a real pain in the rear when it comes to her nails. And as soon as they are done they tell Parker how good she is and give her a treat, commending her on her performance, which is completely unjustified. They just love dogs that much. I mean, totally same. Of note, we have tried to cut her nails on our own at home and NO WAY is that happening. I could write a great deal about all the types of tools and methods we have tried, to no avail. I don't know what we would do without Julie and Larry to take care of this for us. Bring your pets in! They are the best.

Jess at Best Friends Pet Grooming Salon is nothing short of MAGIC. I don't use that word lightly --…read morewhat she did for my Frenchie, Louie, honestly blew me away. Nail trims have always been a huge issue for us, especially at the vet. They would leave his nails too long, and over time the quick kept growing out, turning his nails into literal bear claws. It got to the point where I didn't think we'd ever get them back to a normal, healthy length. I originally found Jess for my labradoodle Mabel and just happen to ask her about my Louie's nails . Not only did she trim his nails as short as safely possible, she did it with incredible gentleness and patience. Louie was calm, comfortable, and completely at ease -- which NEVER happens. But what truly sets Jess apart is her knowledge and care. She's actively working on helping the vein recede over time so his nails can return to a normal length instead of those "eagle talons." Who even does that?! That level of attention, skill, and dedication is so rare. Jess doesn't just groom -- she genuinely cares about your dog's long-term health and comfort. I'm beyond grateful we found her. If you have a dog with difficult nails or any grooming challenges, Jess is the one. Truly one of a kind.

Yes, the wait time can be a bit lengthy, but it's completely worth it. They take their time and make sure every dog is comfortable, safe, and well cared for, and it truly shows in the results. What really stood out was that they noticed a rash on my dog's skin and immediately brought it to my attention so I could take my dog to the vet. That kind of care and honesty is rare and so appreciated. Pro tip: bring cash to tip--they absolutely deserve it. If you want groomers who genuinely love what they do and treat your dog like family, Paws on 5th is the place. Highly recommend

I spoke to them about it and they said they would be more careful next time. He left the groomer shaking his head for hours. The next time, I reminded them re his ears. He left with hematomas on his ears and shaking his head. I have had these breed for decades and have worked with many groomers. I have never had this negative experience with another groomer. My dog is still terrified when we walk by this groomer's door. Now we have a groomer who my dog is excited to see and absolutely no issues with his ears or otherwise. I also had scheduling issues with the groomer and they were not polite or apologetic.

Doctor was very nice and answered all my questions with my concerns. My cat had a heart murmur, so he recommended an ultrasound appt w/a cardiologist. The cardiologist wait list was for a couple of months. When I was finished with the appt, Bernadette told me how much the services was. I was surprised that it was over $1K and I asked to see the invoice and her response was "Really?" In all my life dealing with vets, most will walk you through charges and you're given the invoice to review before paying. Her reaction and comment was totally unnecessary. A week later, I get an email indicating his blood/lab tests results were fine and instead of sending the lab findings, they send some type of flyer about why they do the testings. The day before the ultrasound appt, Bernadette called me and asked if I had a certain type of medication for my cat to sedate him to prepare for his appt. Mind you, they never mentioned this to me prior to making this appt and they wait the day before to let me know this? Completely unacceptable. So, clearly they knew I was annoyed with this and she called back an hour later saying that they can administer if I can drop him off earlier in the morning. These people act like I don't have a life or a job. The ultrasound findings to my relief, ended up being normal. Before I left, Kat had asked me if she should charge my card on file. I approved. Would you know, the next day, I noticed that they charged me TWICE for the services. I emailed them the screenshot of the charges and followed up with a call. I wanted to ignore the bad reviews when I first researched them - lesson learn. Always believe the bad reviews.
