This place had really gone down hill, since I was a child. Yet, I thought I would give it a chance for my child's birthday wish of being able to ride a horse. I made the appointment date, time, and deposit for a 1 hour ride for 4. In communication with 4B Legacy Stables through text messages, I specifically asked if the trail ride was leash lead or follow the leader horse type. They stated, that trail rides are you follow a leader but ride by yourself. My kid was so excited about this, for they wanted to ride by themselves without being lead. Our appointment was at 3pm, we got there at 2:50. One horse was saddled already yet had 3 more to saddle. In my opinion, all horses should have already been saddled for the appointment, for this waisted time of horses being saddled by "the helpers/other kids" they were playing around by throwing horse manure upon each other, and washing it off in the horse trough. At 3:23pm they finally were on a horse and being lead/held by the helpers within the pecan orchard, and once the ride was over, at 3:53pm (30 Minutes instead of the 1 hour I requested) my crew let me know how horrible the experience was. Mind you these were children and should have just been happy to be on a horse, yet that's how bad the experience was. The horse kid helpers that were on foot leading the horse and the Adult that was in charge and was also on foot leading the horse , was complaining and cursing the whole trail ride. Once the ride was over, I was on the opposite side of the fence and asked the helper if they could get the adult so that I could pay. They stated that they were too tiered and feeling sick. So then I asked if I could go in the fence to get in contact with the Adult. Once I was able to speak to the adult, I asked how they wanted me to pay the rest of the payment. And they stated that "they don't care how I paid it." The professionalism of this place is definitely lacking!!! It was a horrible experience, and I do NOT recommend this place. I was embarrassed that I even gave this place a chance, to be let down like this. It's a shame that this place is like this, because it could be such a great opportunity of business, it is so beautiful (pecan orchard, trails, right there on the highway/so convenient) and have to opportunity gain business with professionalism and CARE! read more
