(Marshfield also has a lot of other parks, trails and recreation areas. Including an outdoor pool). This little zoo It has a lot to offer... up close access to all kinds of wildlife. It's clean and very well kept, and I really think it's awesome that it has walking and biking trails running through it... AND it has a road that you can do a drive through experience. How great is that for the elderly, or handicapped or exhausted young kids? (Or lazy adults like me!) and it's all free!

The three of us participated, and my wife and sister-in-law came to watch. This was actually a fun time. It runs $20 for an hour, but they provide an "Axe-pert" to make sure you understand safety and learn where to stand and how to throw. Gabe was super-friendly and went through the rules quickly. He then spent 10-15 minutes making sure the three of us knew how to throw and could at least occasionally stick an axe. By the end of our training, Gabe made it clear that we were all close. One's axe throw if the same mechanically once you get going, but where you stand will determine whether or not your blade bounces or sticks. Once the training ends, THEN your one hour clock starts. To be honest, an hour is a long time to repeatedly throw an axe at a board. It does not get boring, but that repetitive motion with a weighted item will slow you down by the end of an hour. We managed to get through a game of 5 rings, 64, and 21 in our hour's time. The place was not overly busy, so they gave us an additional five minutes to finish our game of 21. My sister-in-law was wary at first, but when we finished she noted how glad she was that we did this. My nephew had not smiled like that for a long time, and he was genuinely excited to play. This is not a cheap activity, but you will get your $20 worth once you get to play a few games. The friendly staff and great atmosphere (hearing axes hitting and sticking or bouncing from many lanes creates a sense of excitement. I highly recommend that folks give this a try.

This dog park is AWESOME! I could go on for days about it…read more It has two separated sections, one for smaller or shy dogs and one for everyone else. Generally everyone hangs out on the larger side. It is large enough that if two dogs do not get along, they have enough space to get away from one another. On that note, I have never seen an altercation at this dog park and I come here VERY frequently. Most, if not all, of the owners are very aware of their dogs actions and are responsible. During the not-snow-months, everyone is very good about picking up after their dogs and keeping the park tidy. This winter, one of the dog park frequenters plowed a walkway around the entire park for easier walking. During inclement weather, there is a small "house" near the center of the park where you can take shelter while your dogs enjoy the rain, snow, wind, etc. It was a lifesaver on those especially blustery days this winter. The dogs don't mind but we do! There are windows on all 4 sides so your can keep an eye on the pups. They also have lights set up inside the house as well as outside. There are some solar-powered lights attached to the saplings but I have not been after sunset so I'm not sure how much they light the way. The park is kept running solely on donations because it is not an entity of the city of Marshfield. The president of the dog park, Phil(and dog Henry) are there often, enjoying the park and making sure it is up to par. Phil takes great pride in the park and it shows. We just finished a session at Escape Room Marshfield - it was a blast! Our group of six had an…read moreawesome time; everyone had so much fun! The puzzles were creative and challenging, and it was very clear that a lot of time and passion has been put into creating a unique and memorable experience for the escapees. There will be more rooms opening soon, and we will undoubtedly be back! Overall, a fantastic escape room, a wonderful addition to Marshfield's downtown strip, and an experience that should not be missed.
