I used their services for about 2 years without any major problems. Then I get a text out of the blue on a Sunday that they would not longer be able to visit my dogs for their afternoon potty break. That's all I had them do. The text said that they didn't have a worker who could make it to the Northside anymore and that I needed to find other arrangements. Funny that my location wasn't a problem for 2 years. Anyway, I was told this on a Sunday when I relied on their services in 2 days. I was able to scramble and luckily found a trustworthy family member to take over. So I ask them to please drop my house keys off. *Frankly, I had no desire to use them anymore because they became unreliable*. I'm then told my keys were mailed to my house the day before. WHY WOULD YOU MAIL HOUSE KEYS TO THE HOUSE THEY UNLOCK?! I asked if they were mailed certified and hoped they were so I would need to be home to receive them. It's been 7 hours since I asked and no reply yet. Basic common sense, don't mail house keys to the fricking house they unlock! read more

DO NOT use this company. We say the great reviews and for the 1st time we decided they seemed reliable enough to care for our furbabies. I was very VERY wrong. So the first person I talked to never even showed up for their consultation. Then I was assigned another one, Kat. At first she was very nice and I was very comfortable for her to care for my animals. I left notes around the house for her with toys and treats that were still in toy box when I got home. And the treats were never given out. She was also suppose to bring in the mail but instead it was left in the mail box and front porch. The only thing she did was scoop the boxes and fed the cats. I had bottled water literally right next to their fountain that only 1/2 gallon was used when we ere gone for 10 days? Then I tried to text Kat and nothing and then texted and called again nothing. I was in Florida and wasn't even sure anyone was taking care of them at this point. The worse part was when I called and spoke to Amanada.SHE HAD NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHAT SO EVER!!! Never have I spoke to someone so rude. I wanted to know why their toys weren't put out or treats not given or the fact that there was bottled water for my cats that was never used and 2 of my Boys have problems with crystals in their urine so they can't have tap water. Thus the bottled water that was to be used. The litter boxes were just scooped and no new was put in top and there were 2 full unopened containers of litter right next to the boxes. So do yourself a favor and find someone else to care for your furry family members while you are gone out of town and not this horrible company. read more

Amanda and her sitters are excellent. I would highly recommend them to care for your fur kids. From start to finish they are professional, kind and the rates are reasonable. Special feeding and/or medication requests are no problem at all. I love that my fur kids can remain in their own environment, where they are most comfortable, and have excellent care while I am away. read more

417 Pet Sitting - Dog Walkers Near Me

See all

We went out of town for nearly a week and called 417 Pet Sitting to have someone care for our three small dogs. Our sitter, Ashlyn, was amazing! Our pets were so happy with her and she did an awesome job. I would definitely recommend! Thank you! read more

THIEF: Amanda Brown, Owner & Operator of 417 Pet Sitting, watched our dogs on December December 9th. She did not arrive until nearly Midnight because she was out drinking at Parlor 88 based on her Facebook profile check-in statement (supposed to be there at 8pm). She also proceeded to steal my clothing and shoes (shown of her Facebook profile photo). Immediately when arriving home from the trip, I noticed my cream UGG slippers and two dress were missing. At the time, I had no proof she had taken them. She was confronted on January 31st about the stolen articles after I saw her Facebook profile photo wearing my cream cashmere shawl and lavender tank-top with sequins. This has all been documented with photos, and has now been sent to the police after I confronted her about the missing items. She denied the allegations, and even went to the extent of calling me "insane" and stated "you still haven't even paid your invoice". Funny thing about that is: I asked her on three separate occasions where to mail a check and how much was owed. She never responded in one text, in the other she simply stated "thank you", and the third attempt was over the phone. The charges will be dropped when I receive the items back. Thus far, the total amount of the items missing is $888.90. Alyssa Huffman read more

I had issues with the pet sitter and how may pet was cared for while I was gone. 417 did nothing to address my concerns. I won't use them again. read more

I completed the application for pet sitting in mid November for a Christmas vacation. I received a reply approximately a month later. The pet sitter was supposed to leave a report card or some indication she was there. I received nothing. The sitter's voice mail was flippant, indicating she may or may not call me back. At least she was honest, about half the time, she didn't call me back. They wanted a key to my house or a garage code. I gave her the garage code, because 417 Pet Sitting wanted $15.00 for me to get my own key back!!! WHAT??? I never heard how my dogs did while I was on vacation. The only thing I received in a timely and professional manner was an email, which contained the billing. Go figure! read more

Amanda and her staff love pets giving them the TLC that you would as an owner. Our friends love 417 Pet Sitting. Bob Pilkington read more

Don't trust the owner. She's not a useful business person. You are guaranteed a pet sitter at your home for 30 min and she's only there for 10 to 15 min if that. Most of the time she's on her phone during the visit. If you have pet cameras, you would be better off checking them to see what your pet sitter is actually doing. She isn't nice either and it's hard to get her to respond to your phone calls. I'm honestly not sure how she has a business. I have had to deal with her myself. I've had friends that had to deal with her involving in payment situations and not arriving at the time she was supposed to be at your home. Theirs no efficiency with her. Don't be fooled by her promise of taking care of your pets. She's mostly just there to be in and out on her time and to take your money. It's not worth the 15 dollars for 30 minutes you are supposed to receive. read more

417 Pet Sitting does great work making sure my dog is happy and well taken care of. I would recommend them to anyone needing a pet sitter.

Love love love amanda!! She has been a lifesaver for us and our darling pups! We have 2 golden doodles and she treats them as if they're her own! They took to her immediately and we feel so good knowing she is the one taking care of them while we are gone! She has been able to help us when we weren't able to get home due to our busy lifestyle and feed them and also our little impromptu trips she has made it possible to help! I much rather would have her come to my home and care for our pups than take my dogs to boarder. Saves me so much time! A lot of boarders aren't open on Sundays so you have to pay for an extra night you don't need and then find the time to pick up your dog when you are starting the busy work week! Her service is fantastic and I would highly recommend 417-petsitting! She'll even pick up mail and water your plants! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! read more

Amanda has taken care of my 2 fur babies on numerous occasions. Amanda is very dependable and trustworthy. I highly recommend 417 Pet Sitting. She has a true love for animals. I was needing to find a kennel to board my babies for a night because of my house being remodeled. I was asking her for recommendations. She offered to keep my babies at her house. My babies were always shaken after visiting a kennel. They aren't used to the numerous dogs and the level of sound from all the barking dogs. I have Yorkies. They would shake when they got home. My babies look forward to seeing Amanda because she spoils them like I do. read more
