The service here is outstanding. What I appreciate about this shop is that they don't try to pressure you into the more expensive options and will do their best to keep the pricing as low as possible. I went for an oil change and had also wanted to get the rubber seal on the door frame replaced. Mine had completely ripped and kept disconnecting from the frame. After a year of dealing with it, it became difficult to close my door without having to move the rubber aside. Instead of replacing it, the mechanic offered to tighten it/glue it and see how it holds up first. Currently, it has been holding up with no issues, but he told me to give them a call if it doesn't hold up so they can order the part. Service was pretty quick. I went on a Friday morning and it looked decently busy. I expected to wait 3-4 hours as I walked to a nearby coffee shop while I waited for my car to finish. I was thoroughly surprised to receive a text within 2 hours, stating my car was ready. Will definitely be coming back here for future car tune ups. read more

I was looking for a new Auto Repair Shop to get my car serviced and was referred to 410 Garage by a friend. I came in for an oil change and had spoken on the phone with Tony. Unlike the dealerships, which gave a run around in the costs, Tony was able to provide me with a quote on how much I was expecting to pay. When I brought my car, he got started working on it and was done in less than an hour! The overall cost was much more reasonable than what I had been paying at the dealerships. I also asked him about getting my brakes serviced and he easily could have accepted the service request, no questions asked. But, he was diligent in checking and honestly told me I could wait a bit longer as my brakes aren't close to being worn out. I appreciate the honesty and would definitely trust my car in hands. Will definitely be coming back for any future car services! A few tips: definitely call ahead of time to make sure there is availability for the service you're seeking. The shop gets really busy. There were about 4-5 groups coming and going in the span of the hour I was there for my oil change. As far as parking, there's no street parking down broadway near the shop. Honest, fast, and affordable. My check engine light was on reporting a "lean code" (air/fuel ratio too high). They assessed it correctly as a problem with the Mass Air Flow sensor by testing a new unit for a period of time. They replaced it at a reasonable rate and no issues so far . I have to admit that I was a little skeptical of a mechanic with a 5 star review but it's well deserved. These guy are amazing. I needed a new battery. The dealer and pep boys both wanted to charge me $400 just in labor for a 30 minute job! I know lawyers who charge less per hour. So I went to 410 and couldn't be happier. During the swap out, a fuse blew and read low voltage. They could of tried to blame it on the alternator and charge me a $1k to replace it but they were honest and said it was just a fuse. Not only did they not charge me for the fuse but Tony paid for an uber to take me home because the job was going to take longer. I live downtown so it wasn't a long trip but I was very impressed with the level of care and customer service. In today's world, it seems most companies consider customer service an afterthought, and some act like they're doing you a favor by taking your money. Not these guys. These guys have old school values and integrity. They go out of their way to help you. IMHO, it's hard work and values like this that should be rewarded. Tony is far and away the most honest and trustworthy mechanic I've been to in my 15 years living in Los Angeles. I have brought my car to him and his team for close to ten years. I know absolutely nothing about cars, but Tony never uses that to his advantage. There have been multiple times when I've heard strange noises and brought my truck in thinking there was something catastrophic and expensive happening, only to have Tony drive it around, check it over, and tell me it's all good, free of charge. When I do need a repair, it is always way more affordable than I expect and quality work. Recently, I bought a new-used car. As luck would have it, two days after I registered it, I began to hear strange noises. I barely made it into the garage before the transmission failed. Tony got estimates for me and patiently helped me work through whether it was worth it to repair the car (it wasn't). He then held onto it for me for close to two weeks while I figured out the best way to get rid of it. Him and his team (who are also all so nice) even helped load it onto the tow truck that eventually came to take it away. I came in base in yelp review needing to service my 2021 nissian rouge. They were surprise how new my car is already needing struts. I left it there since it's so new they would have to order parts to get what I needed done. Tony and his team are no joke they will take care of the care no problems! The Check-Engine light in my car came on yesterday. Since it could be due to several causes whose repair costs range widely, I felt that I could trust 410 Garage's honest assessment of the problem and cost of repair, based on its 5-star reviews by 360 reviewers. Tony the owner used a meter to determine that the problem was due to me not closing the cap for the gas tank tightly till it clicked. When I told him that I did, he checked the cap and showed me that the gasket around its rim was broken and hence could not form an air-tight seal. Since he did not have its replacement in stock and I live about 20 miles away in Brentwood, he advised to buy it at an auto parts store near my home. When I offer to pay him for his time and expertise, he generously told me there is no need to pay him. Halfway down the I-5 on a President's Day weekend roadtrip from SF to LA, we hit a pothole that knocked our air conditioning out of commission, which made the rest of the drive very uncomfortable. My wife called Tony to explain the issue and he was able to service our RAV4 the very next morning. Tony was kind, patient, understanding, and extremely communicative. He gave me periodic updates on what the suspected damage was and how much time and money it would take to fix. After diagnosing the issue as limited to the AC unit (not dangerous to drive), he even suggested that I wait till I got back to SF to get it repaired to save money because our car is technically still under warranty. Came here on a friend's recommendation for a smog check and I'm glad I did! Tony was really friendly and nice. He was able to get my smog check done in like 10 minutes. (I called ahead and luckily it wasn't busy since it was during the middle of the day on a Monday). It's sent digitally to the DMV so I don't have to do anything either and they accept Apple Pay! Does 410 Garage allow doggos? Yes, they have a few chairs inside where you can wait with your pup. However, they may not like the noise. Tony at 410 Garage is friendly, helpful, and honest. He is knowledgeable and confident. I never feel like he's trying to upsell services. Pricing is very reasonable and they're generally very efficient with time. Oil change takes about 45minutes (plus or minus, depending on how busy they are). Overall, I'd totally recommend 410 Garage to anyone. read more
