What I love about this YMCA location is that there is ample equipment and I am able to get a productive workout complete. So far all machines that I have used are in great working condition. Other members too are able to get their workout done with ease unlike other locations where people are on their phone, taking up the machines and not actually using them efficiently. I have gone early morning around 7 AM and I have also gone in the evenings around 7/8 PM. I have not taken any classes yet, but will soon explore some. My only one complaint is that I have unable to use the sauna due to it being out of order. Hopefully, they're able to repair it soon. I have also heard and read in other reviews that it is frequently being repaired. Hopefully that gets resolved soon.

We attended this Easter egg hunt and overall it was a fun concept with a great turnout, but there…read morewere a few things that could really improve the experience, especially for younger kids. First, I do want to say the staff were absolutely lovely. We arrived before everything was already set up, and they let my two young children help with scattering some of the eggs beforehand, which was a really kind and memorable touch. They were also great about sharing information on other programs, including a YMCA date night service where parents can drop off their kids while they enjoy dinner and a movie, which honestly sounds like something we might try in the future. The setup itself was a classic "scatter and go" format, with plastic eggs spread across a field and kids released at the same time. While exciting, it always makes things pretty chaotic, and our two-year-old ended up with candy like hard Jolly Ranchers and gum, which aren't really appropriate for toddlers and felt like a bit of a miss given the age range advertised for the section we were told to participate in. For future events, it would be great if the eggs in the under-3 section were filled only with toddler-appropriate items to help avoid potential choking hazards and make the experience more enjoyable, and less stressful, for parents of little ones. The bigger issue, though, was the "golden egg" system. The idea is great, special eggs with prizes inside, but in practice it created some awkward dynamics. We saw families staking out golden eggs ahead of time, including one instance where a parent encouraged their child to literally sit with their hand on an egg before the event started. I'm not here to judge anyone, but it did take away from the fairness and fun of the hunt. A simple fix would be to go more "Willy Wonka" style next time, hide the golden prize as a surprise inside regular eggs rather than making them visible targets. That would keep the excitement while making things feel a lot more equitable for all kids. Overall, a fun event with great staff and good energy, but a few thoughtful tweaks could make it much more enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.

I've been training with Nick, the owner, for over a year now. I enjoy our sessions together. I…read morefinally have a regular schedule with Nick, but I started out going to random sessions throughout the week, based on my schedule abs his availability. I always found him to be very flexible with me. The sessions don't come cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. That's a common theme in life. Don't forget it. Nick monitors my progress but is also very open when it comes to movements and weights. Some days I have knee pain, some days I don't. If the weight looks easy, he will increase the reps or the weight. Sometimes I am the one who says I can do more weight, and he increases it. Sometimes I am tired and sore and he asks me how I'm doing/feeling and makes adjustments based on that. I've never been injured working with Nick. He watches my movements and corrects me as needed. He asks me if and what I've trained outside of the gym so he can tailor my workout to areas I've missed. I enjoy conversing with Nick as I train. The studio is private, so my sessions are always one on one, but the gym is a membership only place, so occasionally there are other people working out. The personal training clients get first dibs on the equipment when with Nick, but there is enough stuff and space that we are never negotiating with other people. He moved to a new gym space recently and it's more spacious than the prior spot. He also has gathered more equipment. Parking is way better now too and there are separate male and female bathrooms. I'd say the new place is a major upgrade. I only do the personal training. So while I can't speak for the gym membership, what I know is- the price is reasonable, you get 24 hour access with scheduled appointment (so the gym isn't overbooked) and there are security cameras for your safety. Check his page on IG for more info, @theweighthouse and his website theweighthouse.com as well. He also has some fantastic merch for sale.

This is the gym for you- the community is supportive, complimenting your fit, giving you the latest bar/restaurant review on the daily or offering friendly Wordle competition. The equipment here is top-notch, and the members are super friendly (except for that one girl who's always in the way with her jump rope - jk that's me.) I never knew working out could be so entertaining. The members are like a cast of characters straight out of a sitcom. There's the guy who grunts so loudly you'd think he's summoning a demon, and the woman who is always in a matching sports bra and legging set (seriously, how does she do it that early in the morning?), the girl with head phones in, but is always listening and our beloved neat freak keeping us all in check when we didn't re-rack our weights that one time. No matter who you encounter, you're sure to have a good time. If you're ready to be prepared to laugh so hard you might accidentally drop a weight on your foot - join us. Good thing there's a strict shoe wearing policy...

The new remodel makes the space look really modern and fun. I definitely feel more motivated to work out in the vibrant space. Who doesn't like new machines. I feel the space can be a little bit cleaner and the pool area feels like to use a refresh that never happened. I did have an issue with billing being raised even though I was a founding member with a locked in price. Customer Service helped me out though and got me situated.

0 Stars - Crunch Ocoee lost a customer before I even walked in the door…read moreI drove over to Crunch Fitness in Ocoee specifically to try the gym before committing. I told the guy at the front I was coming from the Winter Garden location (which I already hated because the equipment is constantly broken and the place is full of posers who hog machines for 20 minutes at a time just to film themselves). I was upfront: I just wanted to test-drive Ocoee to see if it would actually fit my schedule. I was even willing to pay for a day pass right then and there--no strings attached. Instead of letting me do that, they had all my info on file and immediately launched into a hard sell for the "business membership." I kept saying I'd be happy to start with the top-tier regular membership and upgrade later if I liked it (which they themselves told me I could do anytime). Nope. He wouldn't run the regular membership. It was business or nothing, and the pressure just kept coming. I literally ran out of time, got frustrated, and walked out without ever seeing the inside of the gym. Straight to Fitness CF I went, signed up on the spot, and I'm already happy with my decision. Crunch Ocoee had a guaranteed new member standing right there ready to pay and they chose to push me out the door instead. Their loss, 100%. If you're thinking about joining, just skip the runaround and go somewhere that actually lets you try before they try to upsell you into something you don't want.
