She was attentive without hovering, quick without rushing, and made sure our drinks and food arrived without a hitch. If Waffle House handed out Olympic medals for customer service, she'd be standing on the podium. For drinks, I kept it simple with water while my sister enjoyed an orange juice. My sister ordered a waffle with bacon and a side of grits. I went with the Texas Patty Melt, crispy hash browns, and a side of grits. Unfortunately, I got so focused on eating that I completely forgot to take pictures of the food. I suppose that's a pretty good sign. The food was very good. Everything was flavorful, well seasoned, and those hash browns were cooked crispy enough to make a hash brown enthusiast shed a tear of joy. The grits were good, the patty melt hit the spot, and nobody left hungry. Since I don't live in the area, this was simply a random stop chosen on a whim. One time in the Carolinas my son got a Bacon Cheeseburger and man was it good. I gotta come here one day for lunch and have one. I've never had a bad meal or experience at a Waffle House.
