These are amazing people who bring joy to the community with their amazing elevated Americana dishes. I had the Jalapeño Popper burger and truffle fries. From the bun to the burger every part of it was delicious. Track them down and chow down on great food with cool folks!

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. You can't go wrong by dining at The Press.

I've been here twice and each time leaves me looking forward to my next visit. Adriana was our server last time and did an amazing job. Quick to keep our coffees topped off and full of information about the food items I was considering. I had the Big Boi Burrito, and it was very filling and yummy. My friends chose the Press Cobb and Breakfast Bomb. They were both very pleased and stated there was many options on the menu they would be interested in trying.

They have a number of booths that are intimately fitted out with sheer curtains. To top it off their food is delectable and the service is good. If you're looking for dining with a romantic setting, PG is hard to beat. We started of with dirty martinis. Then for the evening we ordered just from the appetizer menu. Our first item was shrimp coctail. It comes comes with four shrimp, coctail sauce and another sauce that I thoroughly enjoyed- citrus, mustard, aioli. Next up was a lobster and crab cake (1) that we shared. It was very good. Then we shared an order of calamari that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our last item was mushroom soup which was absolutely outstanding. We passed on dessert, but the server delivered a complimentary small cordial glass with mixed fruit topped with whipped cream. It provided a nice finish.

Tons of mushrooms though, which I liked. For dinner I got the chicken saltimbocca. The chicken was a little dry and came out extremely hot, almost like it had just been reheated, but it still tasted good. The sauce was really savory and kind of carried the dish. Glazed carrots were solid. Mashed potatoes were a bit lukewarm but still decent. Overall good flavor, just a few misses on texture and temperature. I sat by the bar, service was excellent, very attentive waiters. This place would be good for a date night because it has curtains that allows for a little bit more of a private/intimate setting.

Service was great, food was great, and overall it was a really solid experience. I still think I personally enjoy Birdie's a little more, but I've only eaten here once so far, and it may just come down to what I ordered. We tried to make reservations in January and the first available opening was for March 24th. The venue was previously the Drake. MAHT has definitely improved the decor with its modern elegance. It has an energetic vibe. The menu has breath and depth that will accommodate a wide range of tastes. The service is good. It was a bit noisy at times, but overall not too bad. The prices are on the high end. We started with a Cab Sav an order of Parker house rolls and the ceasar salad. The rolls are good but I'm not a fan of fancy infused butter (chili crunch honey butter). Just give me plain butter. We shared a ceasar. The ceasar salad was epic! Loved it! Liked the shaved romaine, loved the crispy chili chickpea crunch and the generous topping of finely shredded parmsean. For our entrees were shared the 12 ounce filet. It was lovely. Cooked to order, wonderful flavor and almost melted in your mouth. We finished by each getting an affagato. We were introduced to Affagatos while living in Australia. They are hard to come by in OKC, but some restrauants while not having Affagatos on the menu will have the necessary ingredients. If you are not familiar with affagatos An affogato is a simple, decadent Italian dessert consisting of a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream "drowned" in a hot shot of espresso. In Australia they add a shot of walnut liqueur. Hazlenut liqueur is an acceptable replacement for walnut liqueur as it is hard to find, espically in restrauants. MAHT has walnut liqueur. The combination creates a contrast of hot and cold, bitter and sweet. Love affagatos. We had a great evening!
