***Consumer beware*** This is my second review for this company. My first review was a 3 star because of the quality of work all around. I had three mini splits installed in my upstairs bedrooms. Compressor is located in the backyard. My initial install was done in 2022. I was quoted around $13,000 for 3 heads and install. They finished the install in two visits and there was minor damage to my house but wasn't forthcoming in telling me. I witnessed it myself on my ADT camera. Since the initial install I've had them come approximately 5-6 times over the years, specifically for one unit that Louis said was an 'upgrade' for free. That free unit has been the bane of my existence. I called them multiple times to fix the same issue and I was continuously told that there wasn't anything wrong, that it was working properly. Each visit came with a service fee of around $165. There was an obvious difference in temperature in the room even with the cool fan blowing high. It would take a several hours to cool down the whole room. The other two didn't have that issue and blew cool air immediately. I got fed up and called another company to come check it out. The unit in fact had an issue at the compressor. The line was not screwed on all the way and it was leaking oil. There was also evidence of oil on the ground. The freon had leak to almost half of what it was supposed to be. 4Winds came to investigate AFTER I had to do some convincing that it was an issue on the install. I called several times because they don't always call back. I had to send pictures that the other company provided to help me with evidence of the readings. 4Winds came to fix the issue and the new tech in fact DID see the issue with the leak as soon as he looked at the compressor. He tightened all the screws, refilled the freon and it "magically" blew cool air like the other two heads. The units were not installed in ideal locations within the rooms. Two of them sit low on the wall and the problematic unit impedes a full door swing. Now that unit is leaking water and the carpet is wet all the time. I called back the same company that identified the issue and wouldn't you know...he went inside the attic and saw that there was tape around the PVC. The moisture and dripping of water is seeping through the wall which is causing my carpet and the wood floor underneath it to be wet all the time. The room smells like mildew and we have had to use the wet vacuum to get all the water we can. There is evidence of mold on the baseboard underneath the unit and the carpet is coming up in the corner and alongside the baseboard. I now have to get the leak fixed, baseboard treated or replaced and carpet treated as well. Shop around! Question everything they say. Get second and third opinions. Watch everything that they are doing and don't let them convince you to get mini splits when all they had to do was rework your ductwork! read more

My AC broke in the TX heat our regular AC compliant came out and said it couldn't be fixed wanted me to buy a whole new system. I called 4 Winds fora second opinion. They made me a top priority and came right over. Cindy works the phone was sort helpful and went over everything before anyone came over. When Lewis got here he was professional and quick he gave me several options and contingencies plans. He had me back up and running in about 30 mins and saved me a ton on money. We hired 4 Winds AC & Heating and got on the Primo they have to come out twice a year, summer & fall for maintenance. They are very professional and informative. They went over everything with us. Thankfully we did not have any issues. But when I did mention that our filter is so difficult to find they offered to sell us filters. They sell them too all sizes. They team up with a local vendor that makes and sells them. Even better! I highly recommend 4 winds AC & Heating. Called at 4:00 in the afternoon, not expecting them to arrive until the following day. My air conditioner was not working and it was very hot in my house... They showed up within an hour and fixed my air conditioner quickly. Everyone from the office and repair person were friendly. They also do our bi yearly maintenance. They go beyond my expectations and I highly recommend this company. read more

My A/C went out and I wasted 4 days with an unreliable AC company out of SA. I then called a local dealer, 4 Winds AC And Heating in Castroville. They even loaned me a room AC to use until my system was installed! Mason came immediately and determined I need new a new unit. He had knowledge of the products and was helpful in making my decisions. I found them to be fair on pricing. They installed when they said. Cindy from the office even came to my home afterwards to bring the paper work, say thanks for the business and for me to call if I had any questions or needed anything.
