The polenta was thick and flavorless and the other dishes were average at best. Given that the prices are fine but not the deal they once were I think this restaurant is quite average. The best we had on our trip and we had some great food. fresh pasta with mushrooms , good house wine . another table was filled with "men who lunch" speaking English, Italian and Ditch and tasting some great bottles ( or so they said!) wonderful friendly service and a meet and greet with the young chef Daniele. We had a deep friend squash blossom stuffed with cheese and herbs and a very rustic and delish vegetarian pasta -- some other side plate I can't even remember except we raved about it -- and ate it so eagerly we didn't even get a facebook-worthy photo of it til we were several bites in.
