The crazy part of this planning process is that you start booking everything when they are 10 years old. A 10 year old is a lot different than a 13 year old so trying to find a Emcee that's the right personality fit so early on can be challenging. After meeting with a few different companies I decided Hype was my favorite. They were super organized and responsive, which is a dream for a Type A gal like myself. After some research I had a feeling that Jess King would be a good fit for my daughter so we got on a zoom since meeting in person in the thick of covid wasn't an option. Jess was super cute and bubbly and my daughter felt at ease chatting with her. While I had no idea if Jess would still be a good fit for her 2.5 years later we signed a contract and hoped for the best. Hype is one of the larger entertainment companies in the area so you can get way more than a DJ/dancers from them. We added on the following: - live instruments (dummer, guitarist, saxophonist): they were also supposed to play outside when people walked in, but it ended up being too chilly of a night. However, it was great having them play along with the DJ - 360 Boomerang Photo booth Experience: a huge hit and something different from the typical photo booths - VRX Station: 1 year+ before the party my daughter insisted on a skiing VR game to go with her winter theme. While some kids seemed to enjoy it, Hype did such a great job keeping the kids on the dance floor that we could have probably gone without this. - Roaming Digital Photo Station: fun way for guests to capture images of themselves at the party and send directly to their phones. - Jam Box Interactive Games for the cocktail hour: They didn't end up using this since my daughter had so many speeches, but i love the idea of bringing in games for a boys party when there usually aren't as many speeches. - Cyro blast finale: my first thought was that it was expensive for a glorified fire extinguisher, but my daughter was having the time of her life spraying everyone and it made for some pretty awesome pics. - Light up staging & uplights: worked perfectly with all our beautiful decor Jazmine (owner) and Renea (office manager) were so on top of everything throughout the process that I never needed to worry about anything. And Jess certainly delivered the night of the party as well; she was a bundle of energy! A few days before the party we had a final call with Jess and she was sick with a bad cold. I had a slight freakout that we weren't going to have an Emcee, but my planner reminded me this was one of the benefits of going with a big company like Hype. If Jess was sick there would be a backup and while we wanted Jess that's certainly better than no Emcee. Fortunately, Jess recovered just in time! My son is 10 and we're starting to plan his bar mitzvah next. He prefers to have a male Emcee so we recently met with Rob from Hype, who was also a dancer at my daughter's bat mitzvah. He wow'd us as much as Jess did with his sparkling personality. While I can't speak for all their Emcees, I'm super impressed with this company overall and think both Jess and Rob are amazing Emcee choices.

The newly-renovated space incorporates every detail you could imagine into your event. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a million dollar party. They can change the lighting to fit your theme, the audio/video system is out of this world, and the range of options through HYPE productions (incl. photo booth, dj/mc, music etc.) completely ices the cake for a perfect evening. It's hard to start describing how Loft21 is such a perfect venue, so let's start with the people. JuneElise, Loft21's event manager, is EXTREMELY helpful in guiding you along the way to a seamless event...she will answer any question you have, and deliver professional results quickly and efficiently...we did not sense this level of customer support at any other venue we shopped. Her attitude is great and you won't be disappointed. Secondly, the HYPE staff is incredibly entertaining, and our dance floor did not stop until the lights went on...they hit every corner of the music we requested and the MC, Adam, kept the party moving like a Mac truck... it was awesome, and we still get complements to this day. Jazmine, the owner, was quite involved with our planning as well, as she owns both HYPE and Loft21...so if you use both, you enjoy a discount and she was very clear on how the combined package saved us tons of cash. I could go on...so why don't I? The atmosphere is so unique and stimulating... the bars are uber-modern with an industrial feel, the staff is incredibly well trained and friendly, the globo with your event logo shines on the wall, the preferred caterer they recommended was perfect (Marcellos!), the audio video incorporation is super cool, and we wished the night never ended!! I'd say, with all the competition we shopped for our wedding, Loft21 provided the most competitive pricing for a 350 person event that we could find - they offered everything we wanted (and more), and you will be doing yourself a favor by calling them today before their calendar fills up. Hence why Loft 21 is such a popular option for bar mitzvahs and other big events. If you have a 12/13 year old kid going thru the mitzvah circuit chances are you'll end up here. The venue itself is owned by Jazmine at Hype Productions. I haven't rented out Loft 21, but have hired Hype twice and been thrilled with everyone I"ve worked with over there so I"m guessing this is so exception. Jazmine is very on top of everything, which is perfect for my type A personality. While I highly recommend Hype for event production you can bring in others to the space. The bar mitzvah we attended this past weekend had Tenny from Flo as their MC. The space can easily be transformed and seems to work with any theme. And for those who don't want to go crazy with decor it's a pretty venue on it's own. They have a nice area upstairs for cocktails. People tend to congregate near the bar which can make it crowded so I recommend putting a food station (or extra bar) in the area separated off so that people spread out just a bit. This area also overlooks the ballroom so at the end of the cocktail hour they do a big reveal by showing the room down below, which is cool. The acoustics in the space aren't great and my biggest complaint is that I can't hear anyway near me while I"m there. I can also barely hear any speeches when I'm in the space. However, it works great for music, montages and anything else you need.

Carrie, who was our main contact, was communicative and responsive! We found Loft 329 after needing to change the venue last minute from my original one. I hired Laura as a DOC (day of coordinator), but she really did SO MUCH more than that. She helped with vendor recommendations, she made timelines, and especially in the weeks leading up to the wedding, she really made sure everything was in order. When I was in the early planning stages, I wasn't 100% positive I really needed a day of coordinator, but I decided to at least see what they had to offer. What sealed the deal for me is when Laura showed up to our first meeting with a sample binder she'd put together for another bride's wedding. A binder! With organized tabs and labels and everything! A woman after my own heart! Sold! Laura helped me get the ball moving with lots of vendor recommendations. She even offered to come to our meetings with vendors or to provide us with some questions in advance to ask when interviewing vendors. Then once we had most everything in place (venue, dj, florist, photographer, caterer, etc. etc.), there were only a few emails exchanged between me and Laura until about 4-6 weeks before the wedding. During that time, I mostly emailed her with "wedding etiquette" questions, which she is very knowledgeable about! Then, about 4-6 weeks before the wedding, Laura asked me to send her ALL of our vendor contracts. It was actually pretty hard to gather them all up since some were saved on the computer as PDFs and others we had as hard copies. But I eventually scanned all the hard copies and emailed Laura PDFs of ALL of my contracts. Because I was so busy with work, I didn't really have time to explain to her what everything was when I sent the email, but lucky for me, Laura set up a time for us to meet and go over everything. And then... she brings it... the glorious binder! Filled with all of our vendor contracts and a detailed day of timeline she's put together simply by reviewing the contracts! I didn't have to explain a thing - she read through all the contracts herself and put the binder and timeline together on her own! It was beautiful. A work of art, really. From then on, Laura and I spoke much more frequently. She made sure we were on top of final payments. She offered to come with us to all the final meetings with our vendors. She circulated the day of timeline with all our vendors in advance and served as the main point of contact so I didn't have to be bothered with all the little questions. It was so incredibly comforting to know I could rely on her to handle everything. I trusted her completely. She had it under control. Then about 5 days before the wedding, I gave Laura all of the "day of" items she would be in charge of (programs, bubbles, card box, cake serving set, toasting flutes, cake topper, escort cards, table numbers, guestbook, etc.). I never for a second worried about any of it - it was all in good hands! The wedding went off without a hitch! Maybe that's bad luck, but I'm really not going to complain. Everything was flawless, and I have Laura to thank for that. I never had to question or double check anything on my wedding day - I got to enjoy every moment of it with my new husband, knowing Laura had everything under control. It was amazing. Thank you so much, Laura!! Oh, and when we got back from the honeymoon, everything we'd given Laura before the wedding was sitting in our living room waiting for us, along with all of our gifts. We'd given Laura a key to our place in advance so she could bring everything back there for us after the wedding. It was perfect. Laura was simply phenomenal from that first meeting through to the very end. I don't hesitate in recommending her to anyone!
