She was really friendly and talked to us about the different beers they brew and the styles and flavors to expect. It is cool how each beer and label pays tribute to the land and history around them. I had the Barracks Black and I can't recall the beer my wife got but I think it was an amber ale of sorts. Both were good. I really enjoyed the black and we ended up buying some to take home with us. It was really nice that the staff let us hang out for a bit and enjoy the beer even though it was after closing.

They have a menu and anything I've sampled here is terrific. Patio, great. Dog friendly which I adore. Service can be hit or miss. Parking. 0 issues, huge lot and is nestled into a plaza with other great stores. I wish they had more fruit beer or sours but no matter what, I pick up a 4 pack every couple of months for visitors. I don't love beer but there are other options on site, like wine. If I sample a new beer on tap when they are not busy, I always tip. The to-go beer to buy is easy and right in the cooler as you walk in. Staff will grab what you need!

The lake view in the distance makes up for it. Inside, the booth seating and bar stool area is very old-school pub amplified by the brewing tanks that make their presence felt. There's nothing outstanding about the ambience. 2. Beer - great quality. Order the flights if you're not sure. 3. Food and service - my guests ordered the burger with kettle chips. Burger was ok but was more like a slider than a burger. Very skimpy on the chips which consisted of about 10 or so individual chips. There was no option for fries or a side salad. The Brewery salad was excellent but once again, the optional extra chicken consisting of about five thin rings ($7) was very disappointing. 4. Value - Poor value for food. Management should reconsider the prices they charge, especially when there are several other restaurants in Westport that provide much more, and better for equal or lower prices. 5. Service - poor. Our food arrived but we had no cutlery. I had ordered an appetizer which never came. It was followed by a mild apology after I questioned it when the main course was served A good restaurant would have served up a complimentary app to make up for the shortcoming. I won't be going back unless it's just for a pint of their excellent lager and/or dark ale.

For at least the past few years they have a gift set called "The 12 Beers of Christmas." The beers have funny festive names and funky festive flavours. This past year, 2023, some of the beers in this set were "Cuddly as a Cactus" (Green Apple Sour), "Figgin' Christmas Cake" (Christmas Cake Honey Brown) and "Not My Gumdrop Buttons!" (Gingerbread English Ale). Even though I'm not a beer drinker, I do like trying these unusual flavours and having a tiny sip. My comment is usually "too hoppy" or "tastes too much like beer!" Haha. My husband likes the fun flavours but has noted that some of the notes are on the artificial side, and likes their "regular" beers better. They sell their beers online and offer free local delivery (The Ottawa Valley) or you can also pick up at their location in Cobden for free. They deliver to the rest of Ontario for a shipping fee too. Their beers are also available at the LCBO. The 12 Beers of Christmas set is regularly $68 but if you pre-order, you get the pre-order sale price of $54.40, which is what my brother did. They had live music with two fellas and they were awesome as well. The whole night was great. We're definitely coming back!!
