Its located right next door to the Carphone Warehouse, and in my opinion I don't know how it stays open. As the shop itself is so small there is a limited amount of stock on display. They have a small selection of Pay As You Go, and a just as small selection of contract phones. I found the staff to be extremely unhelpful, I recently went in because I had broken my main phone and wanted a cheapie just to tide me over for a week or two. I found an Orange PAYG phone for £9.95, which was good enough for a temporary measure. Taking it to the counter they told be I had to buy £10 of airtime if paying cash or £20 of airtime if paying by credit card. I told them I only wanted the phone as I already has an orange SIM. I was then told (in an extremely snotty manner) that no shops sold phones on their own, EVERYWHERE (and she did emphasis the everywhere very loudly) would make you buy airtime. So I left it, walked 20 paces across the street and picked up a very similar phone in Woolworths for £8.95 with no need to purchase airtime. So I suppose I should say thanks to her for saving me a pound, but had I not been a canny shopper she would have cost me a minimum of £10. So I would certainly not recommend Phones 4 U to anyone.

They sell monthly contracts with various prices depending on what your looking for in your allowance and which phone you choose, pay as you go mobiles, they also sell normal house landline phones and now do mobile broadband for laptops on the go. I…read morecome here every 12 months to renew my contract and i often change my phone a few times a year and again i always come here first. The staff always go the extra mile for you. This one time i bought a phone and couldn't get my picture messages to work. I took it into the store and the staff were having problems as well with the settings on it so they actually rung the o2 call centre for me in store and stayed on the phone for an hour whilst they sorted out the issue on my phone! I thought this was really good of them they really did go the extra mile for me! Also they always have free mints on the counter which i like to nibble on! :) They do really good phone accesories as well like little tiny dangly lip glosses! Great store! I wouldn't change my network for anything!

The shop itself is a bit on the small side but stocks quite a lot in there and compared to its local rival Rupert's, the shop is practically enormous. I recently paid a visit here to enquire about the cost of a new screen for a phone I had bought of eBay a week or so before as it had a couple of small scratches on it. The staff there that I spoke to quoted me a price but after looking at it recommended that unless it was a massive problem at the moment that I should leave it until it gets worse as it was quite expensive; nice to see they weren't trying to recommend something just to get my money. The selection of phones there did look pretty decent, and they do also offer their services for various phone repairs and phone unlocking, meaning All Things Mobile is definitely becoming a worthy competitor to Rupert's in the mobile phone stakes.

However, my problem was resolved quickly and efficiently and normal service was resumed in my mobile world, so all's well that ends well I suppose :-)

The O2 shop in Barrow is quite small but they has a decent selection of both pay as you go or…read morecontract phones. They also sell or replace sim cards and do card top ups. There is also a selection of mobile phone accessories such as in car kits, Bluetooth headsets, mobile phone jewellery. The staff are helpful and will explain the differences between different handset in a way that anyone could understand, they are not pushy and will allow you time to make up your own mind. Because the shop is so small it can sometimes get a little crowded and occasionally there may be a bit of a wait because I've never seen more than two staff on the shop floor at any one time.
