Pom-Arleau Transfer & Storage

We just used Pom-Arleau for a big move to Seattle. They were amazing! The care they take with your…read moreitems is exceptional - they really know how to protect and move every type of item, and will go the extra mile to make sure nothing is damaged. They showed up on time, loaded quickly, and delivered everything safely. The price was fair and clearly communicated. I have used other movers - Pom-Arleau was better in every respect.

I called to arrange 2 movers to load my moving truck and was told it was $180/hour and that they…read morewould be here at 9:30 am. They arrived at 10 and were very polite and helpful, easy to work with and took good care moving my items. They finished at 12:15 and told me the total would be $545. When I pointed out that it was 2 hours and 15 minutes of work I was told that didn't include travel time because they hit some traffic. $140 to drive their own car to my house. I challenged this and they took $50 off so I only had to pay $90 for them to drive to my house. I was not told that a 9:30 am starting time meant they would START driving to my location at at time and I was also not told the $180 an hour would be charged for their travel time as well. My neighbors are moving next month and so are my parents and they were both planning on using this company and now they refuse to because of this and we will be letting others know to avoid this business. Your stuff will be moved well but it will cost you a fortune depending on how much traffic they may encounter on their way to your house. If I was informed of this practice ahead of time I would have asked where they were located and what their ARRIVAL time at my residence was going to be so I could estimate how much extra it was going to cost me because $140 to drive to my house is crazy.

Nol responded to my request for a move quickly. His terms were fair. His team was excellent…read more Nol, himself makes excuses for all damage that is done, (floor scratches) and can be pretty insulting criticizing how things were left to move (like a swing that we had only partially dissembled. We did our best - we are not movers... Items didn't always get left where we wanted them - so no final walk through. We had a wine fridge (full size) that we now have to get another mover to move since he forgot to bring an appliance mover - after being in the home seeing it and being told 2x Very frustrating. All things being equal the move went smoothly - although over two days as opposed to one. Nothing got broken - which is good. We paid his bill for the first move when he gave us the invoice. We told him we'd pay for Sunday when they were done but he said he needed to work out the bill. He sent it the next morning Monday around 8:45 - by 11 am we were getting threatening and harassing texts and emails from him. Calling us 'ignorers and telling us we are not 'nice'. Said he had to block both our numbers so he wouldn't get 'peed off' and would be emailing us to 'avoid taking action'... Unprofessional, rude, aggressive and uncalled for. We are talking about $1,000 moving bill that would have been paid before end of the day. Not a great feeling and incredibly unprofessional. When we e transfered the funds we got a "FRAUD Alert" notice on our text from TD Bank and are now trying to figure out why by calling the bank.

Aggressive and unprofessional to deal with. I sent a lengthy email outlining what we had, dates and…read morequestions for the quote. Got a curt lower case response that didn't answer any of my questions, only asking whether id be organized. I responded saying I felt this was a bit unprofessional as it hadn't answered any of my questions and lengthy email id taken the time to write. He completely went off sending me a paragraph full of exclamation marks about how I can't answer a simple question etc. Felt very aggressive and rude.
