I specifically asked about fillers, but instead Dr. P recommended Botox and assured me it would fix the issue. I paid for the Botox treatment, but it only lasted about a month and the line quickly came back. What was even more disappointing was the recommendation for a BBL treatment to remove the dark spots on my face. I trusted the advice and spent a significant amount of money on this treatment, but my dark spots did not improve at all. After the treatment, when I sent photos to the office showing that nothing had changed, I was told that I would need additional treatments that were never mentioned during my initial consultation, and those treatments would cost even more money. I felt misled and extremely frustrated. I spent a lot of money based on their recommendations and saw no real results. Instead of addressing the problem, the solution seemed to be recommending more expensive treatments. That experience felt very disappointing and unprofessional.

We were sad that a place with so many 5-star reviews misled us with the charges, treated us poorly when we tried to resolve, and broke state law in the process. As you can see from the picture of the receipts, the total cost for a given treatment was $377.50. However, the actual charge to us was $392.41. The receipt sent to us didn't even mention the service charge, as you can see - only the credit card printout hinted that we were paying more than shown. The reason for the 3.95% surcharge/service fee? They "don't want to raise prices:, therefore they now pass along any credit card fees (or even debit cards) - which is a sneaky way to do a price increase. They say they disclose all this to customers, that we could have paid cash or check...however we were never informed of this. Note that this "policy" is not in writing anywhere, nor is it displayed at the cashier. So we have paid $14.91 extra every appointment, when we could have wrote checks instead. We called and talked to the owner Cathy to try to resolve, and I expected we would receive an apology, perhaps even a refund for the service charges. Instead, she was rude, insisted my wife just can't hear properly, and then hung up on us! Very disappointing that a place with otherwise good service could be dishonest like this. She said, do you want her to? Yes, that's why I am here! They also had this setup in my room with the Vaseline one, that wasn't for me, but sure that isn't sterile. I am supposed to go back in 6 weeks, but I don't know that I will likely return. The dr didn't even apologize for me waiting one hour for her. My appointment was 10:20a and she walked in at 11:17. The assistant came in about 10 mins prior and said I'm next. My time is just as precious and important. There is another dermatologist ip the block, I may try that one instead.

She said she had to check with the doctor and that I might have to reschedule. I couldn't believe it! I said, no worries and left. My brother is a physician, there are so many dermatologists in Windermere and Sandlake. The only reason I went to Baldwin is because I've been going to Dr. P at Winter Park for about 7 years where I also referred so many people. He's great but I won't be going to the Baldwin office.
