And of course the oversized picnic table off toward the side near the highway can pique the curiosity of those driving by. In comparison to the pinball museum, Pixels had more video games and I think it fit our interests more. We each got a drink from the place, the kids picked out soft drink / juice, and the husband and I each got an alcohol beverage. I like that there were many local brews they are serving. I like the idea of supporting local businesses. My son was a little shy to go play the video game station set up with gaming chairs. But we pretty much tried all the other free games. There are a few machines not included in the package cost, they are clearly labeled and close to the entrance, you will need cash coins to play those, if you want to play them. The bathroom was clean. There were so many bottles of anti-bacterial solutions lining up near the entrance and inside the facility. I'm a bit of a clean freak after the Covid-19 pandemic, so seeing this made me happy that the owner cares about protecting people. We spent about 3 hours here. I saw some lady some in with a bunch of kids. It was kind of interesting to watch them because she was working on her laptop while the kids ran around and played games. It's like a cheap daycare! I wish the had one of these arcades closer to where I live, I can just let my kids loose while I do my own thing for a couple hours!

Nothing fancy about it, but the auditorium seats are comfortable and in good condition, and views are great from any seat in the house since it's such an intimate space. I was surprised that the orchestra wasn't hidden below, like at a lot of other theaters, but it was great to see them perform live during the show. Lots of wind instruments, including the flute, clarinet, and trumpet, along with sounds of the violin, organ, and percussion equipment. The show started about ten minutes after the listed ticket time. The three films shown were enjoyable, especially with the orchestra doing an impressive job. Sound and picture quality were ideal. Buster Keaton had me thoroughly entertained in two of the films shown, "The Scarecrow" and "One Week". And Charlie Chaplin was delightful to watch as usual, in "The Rink", with the iconic actor in hilarious scenes at the roller rink, which I found even more amusing cuz I had just come from the skating rink myself (and had witnessed a good amount of crashing and tumbling) prior to attending this film fest. There's a lot to love about this place. Not to mention, they serve yummy milkshakes at the concessions stand. Bonus points for that!

My younger son loves the coding program and is learning so much and he's very proud of what he can create with JavaScript. My older son is neurodivergent and feels totally supported, even when he changes his mind or needs different levels of involvement- the entire Esporterz team is Neuro-affirming and does a great job listening to each of their camper's needs. I always appreciate Nadia's clear communication and quick response time, she's very involved in all the best ways! We are extremely appreciative of the skills they are teaching our kids: it's not just sitting on a gaming screen all day, it's interacting with peers and gaining new skills. My kids can't wait to go back!

The games were durable and held up for the event. Even though we were stalled on booking our games (due to the Venue needed to help with the layout), Luiza was still openly optimistic about helping us and in the end we got all the games we wanted. We opted for Ring Toss, Giant Checkers and Clowning Around (Bean Bag Target type of game - see photo). Except for the Giant Checkers, the prices are fairly reasonable. Please note that someone else may think that the price was reasonable...it's all subjective. Here's What I Think.... They have a ton of games from which to choose. If you're in the market for arcade/carnival type games, please give them a try.

The Sequoia Theater has been a Mill Valley landmark since 1929, with its iconic Art Deco facade…read more They even showed some of the first "talkies" here, on their opening night. Now almost a hundred years later, it is owned by the California Film Institute, and continues to show the latest new releases on its two main screens, and to host the annual Mill Valley Film Festival. Last festival, I caught Ralph Fiennes giving a before-film chat in the front row of this small theater, along with with the director Edward Berger. The Sequoia was recently upgraded and there are bigger plans ahead for more extensive renovations. It's nice to see this historic theater preserved, and fitting that it will have a second life as part of the California Film Institute.

So, when I discovered we had one at the Village in Corte Madera, I immediately booked a 9 year old and 12 year old. We did not get to kick back. The tables were almost all full and our kids walked in excited to get started. Steps 1-2 felt like forever because the kids were decisive and were ready to move on. Nearly every step after that required staff assistance, which just slowed us all the way down, doubling our time here. It's not her fault but didn't meet her expectations. A 30 minute experience ended up taking over an hour due to lack of staff. At the price for two children, I was disappointed because my partner was supposed to kick back and this was my treat to the kids. They had one staff member so we ended up way more involved than we expected - things weren't moving along as expected which really frustrated everyone and made us late to a nearby pool party. Tip: don't call just make an online reservation and be prepared to spend more than 30 minutes here. I called twice ahead to see if we could get in earlier on a Saturday, but got two different answers: "you could try to walk in" and "I don't know keep calling back and ask my boss." The kids had morning sports so we just arrived at our scheduled slot..that's when the sign went up that they were full. I tipped the girl cause it wasn't her fault but they really gotta hire more staff - I know for a fact that we would've had a much more enjoyable experience had staff been more available.
