I've never liked going to an auto shop. The experience is usually stressful. I am always unsure of how much I will have to pay overall and I never know how long things will take. I called 31st Auto Repair on a Saturday in hopes they could fit me in for an oil change. They were pleasant over the phone and told me to bring my car in when I could. An hour later, I was seated in their nice waiting room. I waited about 30 minutes before they told me my car was ready. In all honesty, I was a little embarrassed to bring my car in the condition it was in. It had been towed recently and I had yet to wipe the numbers off the windshield. After paying a reasonable price for my oil change, I found the car had the number's wiped off for me. It was a small detail but it added to the wonderful overall experience. My wife had a nail in her tire and took it to this place. They told her she needed a new tire and that the car's "computers" would need to be reset. The quote was over $100. Telling someone the computers need to be reset when getting a new tire is unethical. We took it to the tire specialist on Morgan Street instead. He removed the nail and plugged the hole. $20 and no computer reset necessary. read more

I brought my car over to 31st auto repair because I was recommended by a family member but all I got was bad attitude and bad service. I first took the car to get it fixed in February however the piece that got installed flew out during the high way two months afterwards. (which could have caused a bad accident) I brought the car back to the shop and told them about it and all I got as an answer is that they said it's not their fault and that it was my fault because I must have hit something. It does not make any sense because it is the inner fender splash shield that flew out of the the car, there's no way it can hit something inside the car in that specific position. It must not have been installed correctly and the lady said that if it were to fly out, it should've flew out immediately. I left the car there for two days, just for them to refuse service. I did not ask them to fix it for free, I was only requesting them to fix it again but they refused to. I was willing to pay. This shows that they are not willing to put warranty on their work and take responsibility. If they can not fix something as simple as a splash shield, how are customers suppose to trust them to do any work more mechanically inclined. The lady that was responsible for the shop also had a terrible attitude and gave little to no instructions when I dropped off my car. She also gave me an attitude when I had my boyfriend pick up the car. This is probably the worst auto shop I've ever been. The only reason I went back again was because I trust my family member that recommended me. My family and I would never go back again! I would not advise anyone to get any work done at this shop. read more

Lady at the front desk who is not a mechanic but said my a/c couldn't be fixed without letting the actual mechanic look at my vehicle to diagnose. Lady was rude and condescending. Don't go here. Also, she doesn't wear a mask while talking to you. Covid is still around. Don't go here or send any of your friends or family. You will not have the car fixed properly because of the non mechanic lady at the front desk making the diagnosis and judging people when they come in. If your not full asian don't go here they will treat you poorly, almost racist. read more

Called ahead and they were able to fix my problem in a few days. They had great communication, the lady at the front desk was spectacular at calling me and letting me know what was going in and also updating price estimates. She explained what was going on and what parts they need, how long it should take. When they finally got the parts in they fixed it within 39 minutes. Also when I went to pick it up he actually SHOWED me an example of what the problem was and also didn't talk down to me or do it in a condescending way. I've never had a mechanic be so in depth with me about my car and I really appreciated his thoroughness. Will continue to take my Nissan there when need be! read more

My check engine light came on and no auto parts stores would do the free diagnostic for me because of covid. I brought my car over to the shop this afternoon (I only live a couple blocks away) and the guys ran the diagnostic, figured out the very small issue, and took care of it, all in about ten minutes total. Went here to get a taillight fixed - I recently moved to the neighborhood and hadn't picked a go-to auto repair place. They worked super efficiently (I was in and out in just a few minutes, without an appointment) and the price was very fair. They also added air in my tires when I asked. I took my car in to this auto shop to have them fix the wheel alignment and check the breaks. They don't do wheel alignment there but did find an additional issue which was that the radiator cover was "missing" and needed to be replaced. The woman who called me with the diagnosis told me the radiator could fall out without it. She quoted me $980 to fix it. I took my car to a tire shop to get the wheel alignment and they looked at the plastic radiator cover which wasn't missing but loose and ziptied it back on for nothing. The piece doesn't even keep the radiator covered just the filter. It wasn't a big issue. Wow, good thing I didn't listen to this shop.... read more

i am the guy who used to go archer' xxxx ' to fix my car, i had the 99 4runner limited, i got the major tune up here and i am really happy with their services, they are polite and honest and the price is reasonable and lower compare to other bigger mechanic store. Store is clean and neat and of course u can have a waiting room and snacks , free drinks and snacks! first of all i love my 4runner and i hope to keep it till very long time. i had my timing belt ,water pump, thermostat, rack and pinion , link kit and bushing ,tires etc installed . ( is 17 years old truck lol )Jay the mechanic did his parts very professional and Kayla who at the front who is very polite and always keep me inform what i need what i dont need while they doing the replacement. i told them i can leave the truck so they dont have to rush as i want my truck done everything correctly , the next day i went pick up is all done now my beloved truck drive smooth excellent again and i dont have to worry about the timing belt or thermostat failure for quite a long time.by the way , they even gave me warranty on the labor and parts if u are a picky guy like me, trust me, go to this store dont worry ,they will give u a quote and u will be happy u found this store.
