And the plants themselves were top notch (and all at full retail pricing). As for the rest (i.e.: the job itself, the quality of materials, quality the work, the attention to detail, communication with the customer and between management and the crew, professionalism, work ethic, follow-up, overall satisfaction with the experience, etc.), I'll refrain from posting the 500 word review that I wrote, and let the rating speak for itself. Simply put, the experience was not what I had expected from a company with a 30 year history in the community. None of this should come as a surprise, as there were issues at every stage. Again...Nice people (the reason for a 3 star, versus a 2 star review). Maybe I just caught them on the wrong year/decade.

From the road, it looks like the centre is maybe an acre or so full of stuff, but once inside, I realized that it goes back about 20 acres! There is TONS of inventory. My husband and I bought a beautiful 12 foot tall birch tree and while we were shopping, one of the staff members picked us up in a little car-thing and drove us around the lot. The pricing is reasonable and the staff are very knowledgable. They describe in detail how certain plants and trees grow and what kind of light/water/etc. they require. I couldn't recommend this garden centre any more highly!!

I never saw her take pictures or measure?? I am still waiting for that quote Sherri...NOT..I have had multiple other estimates from people that know how to do business, but thanks anyway. They have one storefront that is right up against the windows looking out and then one storefront that's in the interior of the market and mainly only gets artificial lighting. Both are full of plants to the brim, but this is a super helpful way to shop for plants! Which environment does your space / wherever you're going to put these plants better replicate? Natural daylight or artificial light? Whichever is the answer, you start with shopping at that storefront. It's so fun and innovative. The Plant House also doesn't pull any punches. They have great stock of all kinds of plants, although in my experience with a lot of the local plant shops around the area, I would say their plant stock & plant accessories (pots, etc.) are relatively standard. But, that could also be because they are located in such a busy market, and the more unique plants probably sell out way quicker than the more traditional houseplants. What I feel like sets them further apart from other local plant shops is the fact that they offer unique eco-friendly products for your household as well. It's definitely a must-shop in Rust Belt Market, and I love that they have been in this space for as long as I can remember, when so many other vendors come & go.
