Excellent PT, mostly attentive nurses, and CNAs. Special acknowledgement to Maria, both Mohammeds, Elizabeth, and Andrea, to name a few, although there were many. The location and parking are good, very good PT, good food, an overall positive, friendly environment. One notable trait, no matter who I asked for anything, coffee cup, a towel, etc. they stopped what they were doing and took me to it. Trust me, unusual! Cons: The night crew leaves a lot of room for improvement. If you're close to your loved one, you'll want to stay with them at night. Or very nearby. The bed alarms are constant and are rarely responded to quickly. It was torture for my disabled husband. I will say they were accommodating about needing different roommates. It was just a hassle and many tormented nights because of it. This would be our first choice if we require it again.

He had a severe wound on his foot and Torrance Memorial Hospital told me amputation was the only option. I am grateful to say the wound care team at Marina Point proved that wrong. Steven, Malea, Courtney, and Alex have done an amazing, outstanding job. What they did feels like a miracle. Because of their care, my father's wound is almost completely closed. Their skill and dedication truly made the difference. The nursing staff Grace, Marcus, and Jenny make sure my father receives his medications and proper care. They are professional, patient, and reassuring. Brian and the physical therapy department also do excellent work helping patients regain strength and mobility. The CNAs are truly heroes. Hirut treats my father like family. She keeps him clean and well groomed and even when he is difficult she takes her time and gives him top-tier treatment. The patients seem to really love her. Even when my father refuses food she makes sure he gets the nutrition he needs. Coretta and Joe also work very hard caring for patients. I also appreciate how clean the facility is. It does not smell like a typical nursing home. Staff are always cleaning. My father always has clean gowns, towels, and sheets with no stains. The housekeeping staff clearly take pride in their work. The food looks decent and they give patients a variety of meals. When you call, someone always answers and you reach a live person, which gives families peace of mind. I especially thank Iman who helped get my father admitted the same day. She showed compassion and urgency. She worked to find a bed and helped him get accepted the same day. I will never forget that. The administration and nursing leadership also deserve recognition. The staff are welcoming, professional, honest, and reliable. They make families feel secure leaving loved ones in their care. Marina Point took a huge amount of stress off me because I know my father is safe and cared for. I would absolutely recommend Marina Point Healthcare & Subacute. The people here truly care. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

I've been on a long journey with my mental health, and it hasn't been an easy one. From the…read moreconstant dissappointment that's been my companion, to the depression that one day changed me into a different person without warning, it's been rough. And I understand that it hasn't just been rough for me. It's also been rough for the people around me. I consider myself to be brave. Getting out of bed each morning may not seem brave to most, but anyone who has battled through the self eclipsed war of depression knows otherwise. When the voices and forces within you want nothing more than to bring you down, you need to rise above. And that, is the bravest thing anyone could ever do. Depression can you turn you into someone you aren't. It will make your face unrecognizable in the mirror, your voice unrecognizable to your ears. When you're hurting, you do and say things you don't mean. You turn into an angry, ugly person. Someone you truly are not. To those who could not handle it, I'm sorry. I truly am sorry.  When you get into a really bad state, sleeping is rare. You lay awake through the night, thinking, weeping and panicking. Essentially, wishing you were dead. Waking up in the morning and carrying on like a "normal human" is not the easiest thing in the world to do, when just 12 hours ago you were praying to fall asleep and not wake up. Some would say I was unmotivated, boring or mean. They weren't wrong, but if only they knew. When you're depressed, it is difficult to reach out. You fear what others will think, and how they will treat you. "Get over it", "You're so dramatic", these are phrases I've heard more than enough. The thoughts that go on in our minds are scary, terrifying in fact. It takes courage to face them yourself, let alone take the first step in changing and reprogramming your thought process. I have seen the light. A light I once thought I would never find. My mental illness is not my reality. I would never choose this life for myself, or anyone, but i have finally overcome my demons. The Holistic Sanctuary gave me the power to take control of my life and stopped my battles with addiction and guided me in overcoming my mental health issues. From the various IV therapies, to energy healing, massages, to a well balanced diet and nutrition, after 17 years of nicotine addiction and my struggles with mental health have become a thing of the past. I have never felt more powerful than I do in this very moment. I am filled with so much self love that I could never ingest or cause any type of harm that is my body, my temple. I've realized that I haven't been the person I truly am, or the person I am meant to be. I've done, and said, some terrible things. I've made mistakes, and I've been an ugly person. If it wasnt for Johnny and his angels I wouldnt have continued on this path and for that I want to say thank you for your kindness. You will never know how often the smallest gestures made the biggest difference. On days when all I could do was cry, or all I wanted was to become invisible, your kindness mattered. Your listening ear, your gentle hug, your affirmation that I matter in this world all changed my outlook, or at least my day. It is in these smallest, quiet moments that my world slowly began to change for the better. Thank you for being there. There have been times when simply your presence in the room made me feel safe. Sometimes, just knowing in that moment I was not alone saved my life. How do I even begin to thank you for something so monumental? The words "thank you" seem so inadequate, and yet they are all I have to offer. I know I can never repay you, but please know I am eternally grateful. Without Johnny I would no longer be here. Thank you for making the effort to making my journey as easy as possible each and every day. Thank you for realizing that while I rarely ask, I often need help and support. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do in guiding all those that are lost in the world. In my experience, few are as faithful as those who stand by your side through depression or other mental illness. You are all remarkable human beings and thank you for saving my life. This is the greatest gift you can give to yourself or to anyone that is suffering from any addiction or severe mental health issues. TRUST AND LET GO

My mother suffered a devastating stroke that left her unable to walk, unable to move her arms, and barely able to speak--at one point, the only word she could say was "ok." As a family, we were scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what her future would look like. What this facility did for her... truly changed everything. Today, she is now speaking over 100 words. That transformation alone speaks volumes about the dedication and skill of the speech therapy team. They didn't just do their job--they gave my mother her voice back. The physical therapy department worked with her consistently, day in and day out. Even though she's still on her journey toward walking and regaining full use of her hands, the progress she's made has given her something priceless: belief. She now knows recovery is possible, and that mindset shift is everything. Let's be real--no place is perfect. But what sets this facility apart is the effort, the consistency, and the care. In a place where patients are going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, the staff still shows up with compassion and professionalism. From the valet to the front desk, from housekeeping to dietary staff, management, and especially the nurses and students putting in real, hands-on work--you can feel that people here care. And that matters more than anything. This is not just a facility--it's a place where real healing happens. To everyone there: thank you for giving my mother progress, hope, and dignity. Please keep doing what you're doing--you are truly changing lives.

Every staff member has a very thorough education in addiction and recovery. I'm talking book knowledge as well as years of (sometimes harrowing, often inspiring) experiences. They have an authentic passion for recovery. And they know what this kind of transformation should look like. The clinical staff at NuView possesses a diverse range of skills. These skill sets include pragmatic things like self-development training, which can help clients get jobs, write resumes, or even just manage their own money better. But they also teach important qualities like emotional intelligence, conflict management, and how to handle not wanting to get out of bed in the morning. These are important skills to learn after someone has stopped using drugs and alcohol. Why? Life gets hard when you can't rely on alcohol or drugs to make it SEEM good. So you need to do the hard work of MAKING your life better. At NuView's outpatient programs, they support and guide you through that process. Much of that involves group therapy and other kinds of counseling, including family therapy and one on one meetings. They locate your weak points and help you create a plan for dealing with them, always making sure you take it one step at a time. They also share their own knowledge with you. They know what addiction is from a medical perspective. And there's no reason why someone with an addiction shouldn't know that as well. Sometimes people don't know why they feel such a strong compulsion to drink or do drugs. The staff at NuView help clients realize that it's not some moral failure - it's a legitimate mental health condition with neurological, emotional, and interpersonal causes. And it can be treated. NuView is especially good at helping people who have a history of relapse or who have struggled with getting sober even after attending other rehabs. This is because they put more personal care into their treatment approaches than most other rehabs. Their treatment plans are generally customized for each individual client. This makes sense, since addiction is a pretty wide category, and it is not the same for everyone. Their outpatient programs provide a holistic approach to addiction. Clients have access to a safe and supportive community. They also get a social network of other people in recovery, so they can all grow together. You won't feel alone even for one minute throughout this process. For family members, they also put on many events and try to include them in the treatment process. Literally everyone gets a chance to heal and to work on themselves. If you're dealing with addiction now or if you just quit, it's time to treat yourself to a clean and sober life that's actually good. Why get sober and be miserable? At NuView, no matter how broken down you are, you WILL experience a transformation. Simple as that.

I had the same treatment as two years ago but the dizziness didn't subside. It was somewhat better but really too debilitating to live a normal life. I finally went to Cedars Marina Del Rey Emergency. After doing many tests they admitted me to the hospital. My assigned doctor was John Joseph Pack MD. I did have the Epley Maneuver done at the hospital and I was getting some relief but after five days Dr. Pack wanted me to come here to build up my strength to enable me to go home. I was quite hesitant to come here because of the reviews I had read. But as soon as I was wheeled in (on a gurney) I felt comfortable. There was a pleasant scent to this facility. It was spotlessly clean and bright. I was put in a room and felt very comfortable being here. Over the next few days I met so many of their staff...RN's, CNA's, dietician's, a pharmacist, PT therapists, executive staff members and others. Every single one of them made me feel welcome and happy to be here. I have been pampered by so many wonderful people here. They truly are lovely carrying individuals. And it's quiet at night. The food here is adequate. I don't have much of an appetite any more and this facility does a good job with the three meals being served daily and snacks also. REVIEW UPDATED Sept 16, 2024: I have now been here close to three weeks and I am changing my opinion of the food. NOT ADEQUATE. Something is always missing from the tray. It could be a knife. Or the printed menu shows a roll and butter. Sometimes no butter sometimes both are missing. The main dishes are described beautifully but that's not what you get. A hoagie Philly style with cheese, onions and peppers. Only no onions and peppers. And it was on a slice of white bread. Or a tuna sandwich with a plate of lettuce and tomato. No lettuce or tomato. Toast with eggs in the morning with butter and jelly. Sometimes you will get the butter other times nothing. A side of coleslaw never came, the cooked meats are cremated...dried out. One dish was turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy. No gravy. I keep asking for packets of ketchup and mustard so I can make a sauce myself. With that being said I'm keeping the rating at five stars. And that's because of the people working here. They are incredible. And I needed to lose a few pounds anyway. So put your worries to rest. This place is amazing. I highly recommend it when and if it is needed.

The place is disgusting and the people working there are incompetent, overworked, understaffed and because they have to hurry they can't take care of your loved one. There is no doctor on site, new patients don't get seen for over a week. They just gave me a plastic garbage bag with her clothes, glasses and phone... It was one of the most shocking experiences in my whole life and I am a nurse who has seen many rehabilitation places, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. I'm surprised that place didn't get shut down and that people allow the elderly to be treated like that.
