I called few places to find out if they can help me and then decided to try Universal Body Shop first. I made this choice based on pleasant but still very professional tone of the phone conversation. Soon after I arrived at the shop, I knew picked the right place. Tom Basalyga, the owner, gave me all advice I could ask for. He explained what needed to done and how to file an insurance claim. With his assistance, I actually filed my claim while sitting in his office. It turned out that my naive estimate of the damage was way off and I could not drive the car because it was unsafe. Since I did not expect it, I had no ride home. Tom helped me again and drove me from his garage in Scranton to my home in Clarks Summit. It was a tremendous help! Now, I have my car back and I am trilled with the job! All the repairs are done and the car looks great! Ed's Auto Repair and Towing agreed to evaluate the wheels and found the brakes were completely destroyed due to subpar electrical work from the manufacturer of the travel travel trailer. Ed, Steve and everyone else were very helpful and informative on the cuase and repairs of the brake failure. They got us back on the road the same day. We are very grateful for them making our repairs a priority, even though they were very busy. Finally they provided us with a detailed report and photos that can be submitted the the manufacturer of the travel trailer for the Warranty claim.

Unfortunately they told us we needed a new transmission, which would cost $9000, and it would take at least two weeks to repair it. My brother-in-law checked with a friend of his to find a local mechanic who could give us a second opinion. He recommended Dan Riley, a transmission specialist who owns Reliable Auto Repair in Wyoming, PA. Dan listened to us describe the issues, took apart the applicable areas of the car, did some needed adjustments, and the car is now working fine. Even with the new brakes it needed the bill came to less than $1000. We are very grateful there are still ethical car repair facilities in the world. Thank you Dan.
