They were, and are fabulous, so of course I called them again. The owner called me within 3 minutes of sending a request for help! He showed up the next morning with another employee who assisted by immediately getting in the crawl space to check on the foundation and moisture barrier. Meanwhile, the owner assessed the problem, checked all the other down spouts around the house, and talked my son through taking the drain pipe down, a neat trick to assess bolt sizes, and how to counter the problem for the future. All the while offering calming comments and assorted helpful hints. Really, Duane, the owner, all employees and sub-contractors have been professional, congenial, diligent workers, and produce the results we have asked for. Great consistency. I whole-heartedly give 3 R's the highest recommendation possible.

Attempts to negotiate a credit so that the cost better reflected the actual labor performed were rejected. I will definitely recommend getting several other estimates before considering this company.

Wholeheartedly and without reservation my husband and I highly recommend Anthony Carlisle and his…read moreGBZ Construction crew. Over the course of 3 years they periodically worked on large projects for our home. Anthony and his crew became like trusted family members; they earned our trust by their conduct, work ethic and direct communication. Anthony's first priority is to provide the best "product" possible to his customers. We have been very happy with all the projects he has done: * Built a 120 ft beautiful block retaining wall with a metal railing that will probably last longer than our house * Tore out our lower deck and built a larger trek deck in its place, installed a metal railing, rebuilt the stair on the other side of the deck and reinstalled our hot tub! * Built a 20' x 18' attached, permitted shop * Turned an ugly storage room into a beautiful office * Built railroad tie stairway with a landing on both sides of our house and placed 10 huge rocks just where I wanted them. Put down landscape fabric and mulch. I appreciate that Anthony critically thinks through the projects, researches new products or construction solutions, and talks to vendors to obtain detailed information. He communicates well with city and county people and clients. Anthony and his crew are creative, and at times, artistic in their work. We loved our home before we found Anthony. We love it more now because the GBZ Construction crew did such a fine job creating lovely spaces for us to enjoy.

That is fine in and of itself. However, again, the refrigerator is less than 5 years old, and has already broken once in a similar way about a year ago at which point the whole fridge was cleaned and was fixed. He told me that the freezer was fully packed (it was not) and the unit had not been maintained....they had been fixed about a year ago during maintenance. He ultimately denied our insurance claim due to failure to perform routine maintenance. Not only is that a garbage diagnosis and a HUGE blow to my family, he was rude the entire time. I see here many people have had different experiences, that is great for them, I sure hope he is not like how he was to us to all clients. Yikes. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
