We ordered some roller shades with 3 days blinds, once it was installed the installer notice a pin hole and said he will get it replaced. Then my mother in law didn't like the layout. Our installer Chris from Remark Constructions was Amazing, came on time with mask, shoe booties and always had covers for his equipment so it would not mark our floors. We were able to get everything redesigned to make it just perfect. It was a really nice experience that our satisfaction was a priority to them. We absolutely love the roller blackout blinds. We had a lovely experience, actually multiple experiences, with our consultant, Alex. Since then, things have not been anything but easy with this company. It took longer than expected to actually have our blinds installed, and on the very first day there was a clicking sound from one of the motors. So, I called right away, and the representative ordered a new battery, motor, and the 2nd remote, which we should've received in the first place since the blinds are in two different rooms. ‍ About a week after, the top down function completely stopped on that same blind. It took about seven weeks later to receive the motor and battery. The installer determined that it was not a motor or battery issue, and therefore was supposed to have ordered us a new blind. This got botched because he didn't submit the report but made a note instead. The 3day blinds reordered a new motor and battery, again, instead. After he left, it no longer worked. In the meantime, I have one blind in my living room that works and am hanging a tapestry right next to it for the other half of my window. I'm 55 living like I did in college. I am an elementary school teacher and have never spent this kind of money on window treatments. I was so excited to splurge on myself, so you might understand my frustration, after spending $4500 on 3 shades. We have spoken to customer service many times, but they don't handle these kinds of issues. So, I have a case manager who I have left at least 5 messages, emailed several times while also cc'ing the attorney generals for CA and my state. None of this has lead to any resolution. I found that they leave the top of the blind unfinished because they figure it is not visible. Well when you are walking down the stairs and are a few feet from the top of the blind, it is VERY visible. First of all, they called me while they were at their child's event and lot of screaming in the background. She seemed rushed to make the call. To make it smoother and easier for both of us I told her exactly what I was looking for to expedite the process...blackout roller shades in white color...pretty easy I thought. I was told I need my wife to be present who is out of the country on the other side of the world seeing her dying mother from ALS. She is returning in 4 days but will be in no shape to deal with a 2 hour consultation so I wanted to streamline things by getting started on my own as she will be severely jet lagged and emotionally drained. They told me I need her to be present at the consultation (so I guess they can finalize on the spot and not give you time to think about anything.). I insisted they meet with me first so I can narrow down and I can take samples or pictures of samples as they said cannot leave samples. I was told that is not how they do things where they can come back and that they are not the right company for me if I didn't have my wife present. Being a cancer doctor myself, this is one of the most insensitive thing I have heard from a person. Maybe she was turned off because I only needed 8 windows but little do they know I will be moving to a new home in 8 months with 60 windows. The real estate agent who sold us our home used 3 day blinds to prepare the house for sale. The wooden retractable blinds were not installed correctly. They were missing a center bracket/support and eventually buckled and fell out. I found the unused center bracket in a 3 Day Blinds box in my garage. When I contacted the company, they said I'd have to pay a "reinstall fee" plus a service call, even though the blinds were never installed properly in the first place. They also said the warranty isn't transferable, even if the agent purchased the blinds on behalf of the new homeowners, the warranty will be with the real estate agent forever. 3 Day Blinds does NOT even deserve one star! This is the first 1-star review I've ever written and I've written over 1,000 five-star reviews on Google, Yelp, BBB and other review platforms. Until now, I have only ever written 5 star reviews! That should tell you how frustrated I am with 3 Day Blinds. We recently purchased a home that came equipped with motorized blinds purchased from and installed by 3 day blinds. They were purchased by the previous owner of our home just prior to the sale. These blinds are less than a year old and have never been used -- they're in a guest house and were clearly defective from the start. The previous owners bought them and informed us that they never went out to the casita after installation. The house went on the market and we bought it. We were the first ones to try them out. Unfortunately, we were told by their customer service team that the lifetime warranty only applies to the original purchaser and this is policy. However, we believe this policy does not account for situations where a product was clearly defective from the beginning and is part of the home's permanent structure. The warranty should 100% transfer with the home-not the purchaser. They need to stand behind their product -not only bc it is less than a year old but bc it is the right thing to do. Btw-we are talking about 1 motorized blind-1!! These blinds are part of the home -- like built-in appliances or fixtures -- and should reasonably maintain their functionality beyond a few months of non-use. Refusing to stand behind a clearly faulty product simply because of a change in ownership is just wrong. We asked for a technician to inspect and address the issue and to repair or replace under goodwill. These blinds carry a LIFETIME warranty-but only for the original purchaser who bought them right before they sold the house to us. They are less than a year old-but have never been used!! Again -they are in a guest house! They're clearly defective, yet the company has refused to take responsibility because we are not the "original purchaser." I spent HOURS on the phone with customer service. I started at the bottom and kept asking to escalate, only to be handed off to people who sounded like they were sitting next to the last rep -- one of them was even driving and getting honked at during the call. He argued with me for over an hour and then passed my off to an equally rude "supervisor". I kept insisting to get word to the CEO-bc he would surely care more about his business than these people who couldnt care less! I asked multiple times that my concern be passed to the CEO, David Hall, and they claimed they "escalated it to higher-ups" -- but I strongly doubt it. It was clear they had no intention of doing anything other than repeating a script. I also emailed and got the same answer. This lady said that she works for the CEO and he agrees with her comments. Doubt that! They did offer to send a rep out at my expense! Ummmm NOOOOO! They flat-out refused to make any exception to the policy, even though:    *   The product is less than a year old.    *   It's part of the house, not something portable.    *   It was clearly faulty from the beginning.    *   It had never even been used. This kind of treatment is shocking from a company that promotes itself as premium and customer-focused. The blinds are built-in and should be treated like an appliance that stays with the home -- they shouldn't become the next homeowner's expensive problem. I gave them every chance to make this right before posting this review, including offering to work directly with a supervisor or corporate. I never ask for special treatment -- just basic accountability. But instead, I got deflection, rudeness, dismissiveness, and zero support. I would never recommend 3 Day Blinds to anyone and I will shout this from a mountain top from this day on. Every time we called to follow up, we were told, "It will be done soon," but nothing happened on time. Blinds are great when they work. Color is nice. Had a contractor it them in with custom outlets which can not be used because blinds have a magnetic charging system on the side where blind rolls up. So if blind rolls over tip you can't charge. Was told by tech they the magnetic service wears down and stops working. The good and the bad - 3 day blinds The good - they were able to offer motorized top down, bottom up cellular shades that met our needs. They had advantages over the competition in the battery compartment is internal (other are external) and could configure the charge ports so they were easily accessible - others can only put charged port on one end. Install via their contractor (ray line) was smooth and the installer was good/informative/helpful. Price was competitive, but took a couple of back and forth with the sales person who tried using "high pressure sales tricks". The bad - the sales rep kept saying they were a Hunter Douglas company, implying the shades were HD - they are not the same, as we also got a quote from a HD rep. It appears the shades are the same as levelor (also a HD company). When I mentioned to the sales rep, he said he knew nothing about levelor and did not know all the competition. He has been selling for 9 years - he should know. All in all the sales person was fairly knowledgeable, but just not trustworthy. I think there are some common components between levelor/3 day blinds/HD. But the levelor and 3 day blinds have identical remote controls and both have the internal battery. Invoicing - 50% up front - OK. Then the sales guy says the other 50% is due prior to install. I said no, I will only pay after install and everything checks out. He finally agrees and "notifies accounting". I get an email from him confirming this. One day after install my credit card gets charged. The sales guy never checked to see if install went ok and if it would ok to invoice the final balance. Fortunately, install was fine, but otherwise would have been a hassle to address. Ordered our blinds with these folks. Super quick to charge my credit card when making the sale. I had requested that I use a different card when they installed. Without checking, they charge on the original card. It's taken me several calls, bouncing between 3 day blinds (sales rep, accounts receivables, etc.) to try and fix this. Their process is so rigid and unresponsive to fix a simple issue like this. Have spent over two hours on the phone. Do not get involved with this company. Ordered $4,000. worth of honeycomb blinds with loop cord control. When the installers arrived to install the shades, the plastic piece that secures the cord loop did not fit with the interior mounted blinds. 3 Day Blinds insist the plastic cord lock must be drilled into the outside molding of the window frame, resulting in a pull cord that barely operates due to it being secured at a 35 degree angle. Multiple phone calls with condescending and patronizing male employees who insist the blinds "work," and repeatedly state since I signed a contract PRIOR to receiving the blinds, I have no recourse.
